Ya, he slipped on the water Danny spilt all over the stage...thank God he didn't hurt a knee in the process! A truly great show, I was at the Irvine shows they had the days right before this one was filmed.
Yes he is and a good friend of mine. He's the reason I got into Boingo when he joined the band in 84 for the Dead Man's Party tour. BTW, you can see me up front on the rails (guy n the black shirt pointing at the stage) at the 2:05 mark singing "noone lives" right before the camera moves on...one of the best shows ever!

This kills me. I'm a die hard Boingo fan since 82' and I couldn't go to this concert because I was in bed due to a high risk pregnancy. My sister who is not a fan went with her date. By the way, I had a healthy baby boy seven months later.
I knew a few of the guys and they would play in my garage for New Years Day for decades. We never had New Years Eve parties because the guys were all performing on the eve.
So I discovered this band three days ago and have been listening to them ever since...but this performance simply solidifies them as legends in my mind.
Tharpedo Entertainment - Welcome to The Mystic Knights of the Oingo Boingo. Also check out Danny Elfman “ Solo” album. They had more songs to record but, their record contract only allowed so many albums a year so, under the guise of “Solo” the band was able to release those songs. It’s not just Elfman its Boingo.
Welcome to Boingo! The earliest show I have seen them play was in The Gong Show where they called themselves the Knights of the Oingo Boingo. Very cool college band gone ballistic and Danny Elfman didn't get involved with all the dope going around in those days either. His high came from the adrenaline rush music supplied him. Jesse Kindred I just really like how he has the freedom to be himself on stage I know a lot of frontmen hate when other members start running around the stage and if they end up on their back oh boy would a fit be getting thrown in the back.

I love how the bass line is literally one note, one rhythm... for the whole song. The whole song.
I love how Avilla falls down at 3:25 and Danny drags him by his foot and he still hits that one note LOL
And it still awesome and blends perfectly
Now that you say that, I think that bass line is meant to the heartbeat... And when the song ends, the heartbeat stops. No one lives forever!
