Man. I've been cleaning windows solo for 10 yrs. now (traditional- squeegees & ladders) & just got a super sweet wfp set up from WCR. I've been eye guzzling all your wfp vids. marathon style and just wanted to say thank you for putting them out there! It's such a big help to get everything squared away in my head & learning the in's and out's to speed up the learning curve! Appreciate it Steve! Your a solid American! Would love a vid. re: pump set up for wfp and/or gooseneck set up👍! Take care & Thanks again!
SteveO, thank you for taking the time to make these videos. They are very informative. I seriously don't know where I would turn to get the knowledge of how to use this new technology. You helped me tremendously. Keep up the good work.
Down here in South Florida we get a lot of oxidation from the elements. I just do what you recommend, scrub the frames until the water is clear then scrub the windows👍 I always think the windows will dry and look like crap, but the windows always come out nice.
So I'm in Orlando and I find if I squeege I leave marks but when I consistently rinse...SLOWLY...the water dries clear i don't even have a filter Is this normal?
I've been dealing with a lot of this lately. It's been costing me time and I honestly was just wondering if I should just stop using water fed. I think I just found the answer. Thanks Steve-O!
Unfortunately most of my clientele all have these windows. However, in my circumstance it is the small cut ups, these windows I work with has more white from oxidation than window, lol. I am talking about hundreds of cut ups, my blue towels by the end of the day are magically transformed to white ones, lol... I have been considering a water fed pole to help , this video has definitely helped me secure my thoughts on purchasing a water fed pole, thank you!
@@travisleonard8783 Pure Water Power single RO/DI cart setup with a 35' viper pole and a 12" tucker brush. I'm not sure why they're not as popular as the Xero setups. They have an amazing cart model called "the little beast" which can run 2 high powered wfp without losing pressure. If your in or around Northern California CWC in Tracy has all their carts setups.
@@heatherthewindowwoman4835 that is awesome... Thanks for the information! I can't believe you mentioned CWC I live in the Bay Area / San Ramon and I've used them since they were in Livermore. Much smaller selection for regular tools then window cleaning resource though. PS so helpful I might run that system someday even though oxidation totally sucks around here LOL!
Great info. I'll add this... You usually find more on the South and West sides and I prefer a softer radius brush. It seems to scrub off the oxidation faster and can be easier on wider and deeper frames.
I’ve just gone back and rewatched this video mate! I had a job today and I put my set up away went back to do the screens and saw milky runs on the windows. I had redo it by hand 😫
Are you using a Univalve with your WFP? Our pole and brush setup is similar to yours. We are using a univalve and it pulls the pole hose very tight against the brush when you turn the flow of and on. It does not look like yours is moving when you turn the water off. Nice work and thanks for any input!
Yes I am using a univalve, where the hose comes out of your pole at the top did you use one of the clamps there to stop the hose from moving from the brush to the pole?
Oxidation,, the story of my life lol.. Still haven't made the jump yet and purchased a wfp, but if i did Steve, can you point me to a good starter unit? I have seen a few around, but maybe you know of a good one to start with. Hey Bro, thank again for all your content, its helped thousands of us! God Bless
Jamie Brasnyo depending on your areas TDS can determine what system you need...DI or RO/DI. windowcleaner.com/xero-di-package?pt=my This package would be a good place to start, get the basic carbon fiber and DI tank. If you ever just want to call me and talk about it further my # is 9705991437

Not long at all, way quicker then a ladder, once you get used to WFP nothing can beat it, most think thats a holy grail tool but its not, you have to be good with it to make it work
after a whole year of window cleaning i still dont understand how people go.. hey lets check around for a window cleaner we need our windows cleaned lol.
Oxidation isn't wat keeps me from the water fed pole. Where I live the TDS is all over the place. So between the cost of resin and filters and the amount of water used. I am out
@@SteveOthewindowcleaner that I really don't know. Most people outside of municipal water supply have water softener systems where they add salt to soften the water. So places the water is so hard it has red color to it and will stain concrete.
Had the worst window cleaning job I've ever done today. I used the xero water fed pole and every window had the worst oxidation issue I've ever seen. The grids were on the outside of the window and each grid was oxidized as well as the outside frame....I've washed them 3-4 times each and never came cleaned. I eventually told them I can't and won't charge you for this.....I don't know what to do because they want their windows cleaned and I made it worse by poking a hornets nest of oxidation
Do a quick clean including the frames.Once mostly dried do them once again properly carefully staying away from the edges especially the top using low water pressure. The edges wont be great but 90% of the glass will be clean.Explain this to the customer (maybe give a discount price) Otherwise hand clean using a squeegee etc.

I just did a house with bad oxidation. I washed the frames first and rinsed them well then did glass. Came out great! This is a great video. 😎

Nice video of the process🤘I have a house coming up that has bad oxidation, the frames used to be dark brown now they’re a light chalky brown😆
Have fun with that, I find 99% of the time it works once in a while you still can get a stubborn white run

Do you still have to squeege the windows after using the water fed pole??
Hey Steve,
Are water fed poles universal? For example can I use a ticket pole with a xero pure system? Thank you!
My county is still in lockdown so no open stores besides the big box stores..
What should I do with one experience? Please help🙏🙏
Thanks for the video i just wonder that you not added anything to your WFP to get a better results i got for next week in at building that the windows has that I'm thinking to spray it first chemical scrubbing them it and then use the WFP any advice ...????
Thats what I do on really dirty windows, put some chemicals on the brush first and clean, em off with the wfp 👍
I don’t ever add any extra chemicals or soap to the process
What does oxidation mean? What causes this
Great video. I needed this one. How do you get your over the top rinse bar to have such good flow. Mine won’t shoot past the brush?
What system do you currently use? What hose as well?
Iam using Xero ro di 5/16 hose. With the brush jets it shoots out 6’
If I just doing traditional window cleaning without a WFP could I just power wash the windows with low pressure tip first to remove oxidation?
Yes you definitely could for sure

Full Boar hair brushes are my favorite for all residential jobs
Hello, again a good videos and amazing résults
I had this happen but I’m pretty sure it was the paint cause you could literally see the missing white paint where I scrubbed… 😅
Upsell them on pressure washing oxalic acid treatment
Excellent tutorial! I was hoping to go into WFP this year, however the scamdemic has hit the budget too much.
Just curious I've got black bits in my tank any recommendations what it is or what to do.
Shaun Byrne what setup do you have?
Ya but how long did that take you?
