This Ancient city track with your version also deserves an acoustic version with recreated versions of instruments found at prehistoric sites. Bone, wood, snew-string, leather, wood, stone materials to replicate ancient instruments. One of my most favorite tracks and tribute I enjoy and keep revisiting.
Okay, i listened the last few hours to your remixes and this one is simply the best imo, just perfectly remixed. Espaccially the Part at 2:54 is just AMAZING! A beast! :D
Holy damn man! Impact sounds have great punch in this remix of yours. You captured the soul of this song right from the start. I'm totally hooked. Those wavy stereo effects around 2:20 got me in nostalgia tears.
THIS is the insanely amazing stuff they need to be playing at places like Lost Lands; I'd break my body in a heartbeat to hear this live. Amazing work, as always 🦖
YES!! I wasn't expecting Turok! I was crazy about this franchise growing up, I especially liked Turok 2, so seeing these uploads in my sub box just now was awesome! Good work.
Been playing Turok, this hits the spot! For some reason, I like the soundtrack better for this Turok more than Turok 2, it's more brutal, Turok 2 is more creepy, evil.
The original Turok always had a more tribal vibe, it felt like you were on the hunt; this piece was one of the best, this remix seems to highten the "bloodlust" fuelling the whole game: borh you and your enemies are out for blood, and those notes sound almost like sharp teeth of a raptor, like the harrowhead dreaming of that ruby-tinged warm fluid to be spilled, soaking the ground, quenching the thirst of the beast's throat...be it the brave Tal'set or the instinct-driven prehistorical carnivore facing him.
This is epic, captures the feel of the level pretty well. Huge fan of the series, ( we dont talk about the 2008 mockup), it would be great to hear a ruins, level 4, remake as well.
If only we got the sequel to Turok 2008 that they teased...they should have started the series with that idea! Lost mercenaries and terrorists lost on a planet, reduced to tribal groups, alternative tech and weapons, controlling dinosaurs, and the like; that was a great idea! It could have had an hub world/semi-open world mission structure in a mixture between the original game and Far Cry/Crysis, and it could have been quite intriguing as a title...oh well, one can dream.
Hey, I just listen that soundtrack for the first time and I would say, this has to be an optional selecting sound for the remastered version of Turok, published by Nightdive Studios. Music options in the game -N64 Version -PC Version -Luke Jansen Version 😂👌
This song gives me a very strong compulsion to take my shirt off, paint my chest, go buy an oversized knife, and travel on foot to the woods of Chernobyl and spend a few nights out there in the wilderness… any one else feeling that?
Liking it a lot! I think it's a tie with the original one, but could also be a bit of bias on my side, since I loved the original. I like that you inserted a bit of Turok 2 in it, I enjoyed the reference to the River of Soul. Liked and subscribed! uwu_b
@@lukejansen3540 Have you ever thought about becoming an Indie music producer? Maybe you might be accepted by one studio someday to produce music from them if you pop out more great remixes as usually do.
By far, the best remix of this track I've heard. Look forward to hearing more stuff from you.
Agreed, This is the most faithful to the original while adding this lovely Tekno stature to it
This is the Ancient city theme if Turok 1 was a movie D:
I know this comment is years old, but it's been a dream of mine to see Turok as an epic film!
no! this has ugly electronic noises in it. puke 😝
Finally someone understands the importance of the percussion and blast beast.
GOOD JOB.
@@Retrofun69 thanks dude!
This is perfect. I feel like I'm 5 years old again hearing it for the first time again. Well done.
Thanks man!
You gotta do the Longhunters boss fight theme. That is my absolute jam right there.
Well I might consider it down the track, Im pretty busy these days though :D
Genuine/quality work takes time.
True, these days I tend to spend more time than I used to on the remixes. Im kinda not a fan of my early work lol
Nice
Dude 2020 and still great!!!!

Turok 1 has probably the best vibe of any video game I've played, you nailed it perfectly
Godlike
