This is how Watchtower really feels about people of colour.
Here is a sample from one of their publications:
Question: Is there anything in the Bible that reveals the origin of the Negro?
Answer: It is generally believed that the curse which Noah pronounced upon Canaan was the origin of the Black race. Certain it is that when Noah said, "Cursed be Canaan, a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren," he pictured the future of the Colored race. They have been and are a race of servants, but now in the dawn of the twentieth century, we are all coming to see this matter of service in its true light and find that the only real joy in life is in serving others; not bossing them. There is no servant in the world as good as a good Colored servant, and the joy that he gets from rendering faithful service is one of the purest joys there is in the world.

Robert Hendricks is here talking about how progressive his religion is with regard to marriage?
I recall a video was recently leaked showing him joking about the number of young attractive women in the office assistant role on a specific team, and that he didn’t think that was healthy. Many would consider that sexism and inappropriate in a workplace.
Rather than trusting my recollection you can see exactly what he said and how his ‘boys club’ reacted for yourself if you search UA-cam for “Public Information Department & Watchtower’s propaganda push” - the relevant content is around the 7:50 range.
If you do watch it you will note only men in charge of the team. I would like to ask Robert if women are still forbidden from running those teams, regardless of how competent they are.
This is NOT a progressive group.

Here is a good collection of their lobbying over the last few years. Ol Robby has been very busy:
      ua-cam.com/play/PLHnjbXmuX0Z6SUXD6IX2bweDtgJpRq1mX.html
The lobbying was a desperate tactic since watchtower saw the writing on the wall after 2015. This will end soon. They'll stop all of this lobbying nonsense and focus solely on transforming their MO and consolidating their financial assets to stay afloat. They can't keep up with the international outrage of their bigotry and their terrible toxic effect on families and children. It's already too late for them.

If you want some interesting reading, look up some of their older publications...
Golden Age 1929 Jul 24 p.702 It is written there that the colored race is "cursed" and "They have been and are a race of servants, ... There is no servant in the world as good as a good colored servant"
Watchtower 1904 February 15 pp.52-53 it is written there that a black person can even become white with God's help
Watchtower 1901 Aug 15 pp.264-266 - it's writing there specifically about black men "he still continues to be gross, immoral, and deceitful"
Watchtower 1902 July 15 'The N** Not A Beast' pp. 215-216. - "While it is true that the white race exhibits some qualities of superiority over any other"
Golden Age 1920 Jan 7 p.241 - "if the father and mother are of different races the children are sometimes unfit for brain work. Wonderful are the fixed laws of God."
Awake! 1953 Apr 22 p.11 "When all traits are considered, it is safer to marry a person near one's own age, of one's own race, and of similar interests, ideals and beliefs."
The Golden Age June 1929 showed a chart of different nose shapes and described African and Asian noses as diseased.
Watchtower 1914 Apr 1 p.105 - describes segregation of black people at the photo drama of creation, because the amount of black people was making the white people uncomfortable.
Disgusting right? Don't take my word for it, do your own research.
Does that sound like articles written with God's approval, by God's chosen people?

If what you're saying is true, why is it that so many minorities have embraced the message delivered by Jehovah's Witnesses? Its because its the BIBLES message, not mans. God is not partial and neither are Jehovah's Witnesses. The proof is in the racial diversity and interracial marriages among JW's. It would never exist if JW's didn't feel that all races are equal. All your message does is divide people. Why not look at what ACTUALLY EXISTS among Jehovah's Witnesses and then judge as to whether God is blessing that group or not. The EVIDENCE is CLEAR Sir

@robertjames5197 The question to you would be, why do parents punish their children when they repeatedly do wrong or do something seriously wrong? Do they hate their children? If your children repeatedly did something that could harm themselves, what would you do to try and correct their actions? Of course, no one can be forced to change course, but wouldn't it be unloving to do nothing to correct them? We all have seen kids who seemly have never been corrected. I mean, kids who disrespect their parents by not listening to their instructions or talking back (nowadays, cursing the parents out) repeatedly. To most humans, punishing a child to correct them (not beating them) is a sign of loving parents. Where did we get that from?

Three elders in the Russian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in Oslo were replaced a year ago. Russian-speaking does not mean Russian (Russian-speaking may be from Latin America, Georgia, etc., as it was in Oslo). The elders did not swear at all and did not order gifts in Ukraine (like other members of the Assembly) for themselves, but they avoided discussions with Jehovah's Witnesses from Germany, because they accused Jehovah's Witnesses from Germany of apostasy, since believers from Germany never avoided preaching, they were never refugees (like an elder in Oslo, etc.), the Germans did not swear like prominent members of the Assembly, the Germans did not order gifts for the Germans from Ukrainians in Ukraine, the Germans did not promise to beat (beat) the citizens of Ukraine living in Norway (citizens of Ukraine from Crimea complained about Jehovah's Witnesses from Voronezh. Believers "refugees" did not share a fishing rod with Crimeans and promised to beat them), the Germans did not order wine for LGBT representatives to celebrate their birthday, the Germans did not allow themselves to be massaged in the nude naked Norwegians, the Germans did not have 2 citizenships - Russian and Ukrainian (with the provision of Jehovah's Witnesses from Voronezh and a third - a residence permit for refugee from the Russian Federation in Norway. Although it is well known that no one persecutes Jehovah's Witnesses in Ukraine. It is well known that the payment of the state fee does not lead to the loss of the Ukrainian passport, no matter how much you would like it. It is well known that the application for withdrawal from Ukrainian citizenship does not lead to the loss of Ukrainian citizenship), the Germans did not prevent Ukrainians from studying the Bible (interestingly, open gays (Note: dozens of media outlets about Russian gays admitted to the Oslo Assembly) in the Russian Assembly were also happy with them did not interfere with participation in the Assembly) and the elder even personally instructed them to prevent Ukrainians from studying the Bible with the Russian Assembly of Oslo and much more .... Of course, those who denounced Jehovah's Witnesses from Germany as apostasy came from the capital of fake Jehovah's Witnesses - Voronezh)) ) One such refugee - "Jehovah's Witness" was split by the Norwegian Assembly itself in Stavanger, and she urgently thought of moving further from there to the expanses of Norway .....8

A quotation from 1929 does not reflect what we are today. Racism in our publications in the past shows me that the writers are not infallible or inspired, which they have continually told us that they are not. I have read our publications since 1974 and our present stance on racism and on the curse of Noah on Canaan has been clear all that time. I don't have any racism in me in part because of what I was taught in these publications and in our meetings, and because of the wonderful people in the congregations that I have been in, from many countries and languages. Because we are not racist, it doesn't matter to us what the colour of the skin of the directors of the Watch Tower Society is. Most of them have been Americans. I am Canadian. I don't care. Right now, there is a Black man on the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses, Samuel Herd. He is the first. The helpers to the Governing Body include 3 Black men, who appear regularly on JW Broadcasting monthly programs and on convention talks.
On the Governing Body, there is a Canadian, an Australian (whose wife is Fijian), an Austrian, there used to be a Greek born in Turkey, a German, several British (both English and Scottish), but most are and have been American. There has never been an East Asian, South Asian, an African or a South American. Who cares? Their actions show that they care about the whole brotherhood in all countries. They visit them regularly and they are making a huge effort to get the good news preached using translations in the many languages of those countries (1067 languages are available on jw.org).

A MESSAGE to BLACK MEN. I'm a 53-year-old blk male Jehovah's Witness who's never been married. I would like to tell you about something I witnessed at the Kingdom Hall today. September 10, 2023. I saw a young blk sister who's married to a non blk man. Hug or embrace a man of European descent. Not her husband. Now this is a meeting place of Jehovah's Witnesses. So naturally the standards are different than many other places. But on one seemed to care.
I had to really think about the dynamics of the whole thing. What if she had hugged me? Even though were both blk, the waters would have parted. What if a sister of European descent married to a blk man were to embrace me? Likely it would be an issue too.
What if a blk sister married to a blk man were to embrace me? Likely it would be a problem. And what if a young single sister of any race were to hug me? Likely the waters would also part.
But let's go farther. What if a blk brother married to a sister of European descent were to embrace another sister of European descent, not his wife? Likely it would be an issue. Or, what if any blk brother married to any sister of any race were to hug any sister near his age or younger not his wife? Likely it would be an issue.
Yes, I'm speaking in a certain religious context. But the principles can apply across the board. The bottom line is blk men do not have sufficient access to their own women. And blk men do not have the same access to other women as other men have to blk women.
Blk men should seriously consider these facts. It says a lot about how other people think and feel about us. Often even in religious situations or settings.

I am a white sister, older, and I hug my brothers and sisters no matter what ethnicity they are. I doubt the color of the friends matters at all, it may be more about the relationship, the feelings of affection for one another, etc. There are congregations that are Huggy congregations, others may hold back in that way. Making it about one's color can be seen as being prejudicial so we must be careful not to "go there" in our negative thinking.

Cat, I don’t know what age you are. Yes I’ve had some older sisters hug me out side my race. But very few married or unmarried sisters around my age or older of any race have done so in my almost 54 years of life. I’ve been to different congregations over the years. I’ve seen a lot of partiality as a black brother in the organization. I know a lot of witnesses do not want to go into racial partiality in their minds. But many will certainly go there in actions. And in their inactions.

You are completely wrong wv. You just never walked a mile in my shoes. I haven’t had the average joe experience. By the worldly definition or Witness definition. And any seeming to prioritize myself over the creator, or spirituality is a reaction to a lack of intervention from him. You really need to walk a mile in a person’s shoes before you make such a cross the board judgment.
Are you a Witness. What race, age or gender are you. What’s been your dating status in the organization. Have you ever been married or not. Have you ever been unjustly expelled from a congregation? Have you ever had a lack of intervention from Jehovah no matter how much you applied yourself in his service. I would doubt very seriously your experience as a witness as been very much like mine.

    • @justicerighteousness3105
      @justicerighteousness3105 10 місяців тому

Thanks for the encouragement. I’m almost 54 years old. I Know the scriptures pretty well. I know its not uncommon for God’s servants to suffer. I’ve been in and around the organization all my life. I can tell you as a black witness, race often does matter even among Jehovah’s Witnesses. About the suffering part. You have to understand that a great lack of intervention from God right from the start can mean you never develop the kind of relationship that is necessary to consistently persevere for him. It means he never really touches the core of your soul. Then when you lack other forms of friendship and companionship on top of it, it’s a real problem.
This isn’t about letting Satan or his system win. It’s more about physics in a sense. You know the principle, Anything (That Doesn’t Move Forward. Will Eventually Move Backwards.) A good relationship can not be formed. And certainly can not be maintained without sufficient intervention.

    • @justicerighteousness3105
      @justicerighteousness3105 10 місяців тому

Why do you just assume I have not applied myself in the ways you mentioned. You don’t seem to understand that Paul and many other Christians though they struggle, they have had the core of their soul touched by Jehovah. That’s the difference. He hasn’t done that in my case. Due to a lack of intervention from him right from the start. Regardless of how much I apply myself in his service.
Just like the normal or average doesn’t operate inside a black whole. It doesn’t always operate for some individuals either. So many witnesses are so quick to think they understand Gods basic nature. And that one size fits everyone.

Jehovah...It is widely used. It is considered by many to be hallowed, and it is also endeared by many a beautiful hymn, however, this name was never revealed by God. The name of “Jehovah” is a concoction of man. Therefore, it is a “mongrel,” a “hybrid;” and it is “fantastic” and “monstrous.” There is something very wrong with this euphonious name. The facts have only to be known to justify this verdict.
    What are the facts?
Ever since the Babylonian invasion of Judea and the enforced diaspora of its people in 605 B.C., the Jews’ have a strong penchant for hiding the name of God from the Gentiles, and thus preventing the profaning of God’s revealed name. Later, the Catholic Church in the Middle Ages were known to raid Jewish synagogues, take the gold, and the Hebrew Scriptures [the Old Testament], and persecute Jews. The name and pronunciation of “Jehovah,” (and also the name Jesus) was unknown until 1520 A.D., when introduced and propagated by Peter Galatinus, Confessor to Pope Leo X, who noted in the stolen Hebrew Scriptures that there were Hebrew vowels placed onto the four consonants letters of God’s true name, YHWH [pronounced: Yod-Hey-Waw-Hey]. Peter Galatinus (1450-1540) did not know of the Jewish practice of placing vowels from another word, (accordingly one of the following words: Adonai {YaHoWaH}, Eloah {YeHoWaH}, Elohim {YeHoWiH}), and specifically Eloah, which created the name Jehovah. Jehovah is merely a combination of the Tetragrammaton (the four consonants: YHWH) and the vowels from another Hebrew word for God (namely: Eloah) arbitrarily placed onto the Tetragrammaton to remind the Jewish reader not to attempt to say the name of God, but to say, “Adonay,” instead.
It should be noted that words in the Hebrew Scriptures contain consonants only, no vowels, so when the Jewish reader would come upon YHWH, God’s name, he would inadvertently attempt to pronounce the name. Therefore vowels were added to remind the reader to say, “Adonay” instead of “the name” (HaShem). Noted Bible scholar J. B. Rotherham, stated, “To give… YHWH (Latin: IHVH {Iehovah} later JHVH {Jehovah} due to the later addition of the letter J in the seventeenth century) the vowels of the word (Eloah) to remind the Jewish reader to say, “Adonay,” and later to pronounce it “Jehovah,’ is about as hybrid a combination as it would be to spell the name of Germany with the vowels of Portugal-viz., Gormuna” (the Emphasized Bible, J. B. Rotherham, 1994, Kregel Publication, Pp. 24-25). Jehovah in its present form has only existed since the seventeenth century. Fact: God’s essential name is YAH, and Bible scholars acknowledge YAHWEH (for YAH, see Strong’s #3050), as in “Praise YAH,” in Hebrew: “Halleluyah.” YAH is the name above every name (Philippians 2:9). YAH is from the root word of HAYAH (I AM). The Savior identified Himself as the I AM (John 8:58). Je-hovah, “hovah” in Hebrew means “RUIN and MISCHIEF,” and “Calamity” (see Strong’s Dictionary of Bible Words #1943). “Jehovah” is a monstrous name that means “Ruin and Mischief.” Besides the vowels of Eloah, the Jews also at times used the vowels of Elohim, producing the false name: “Yehovih” (see Strong’s Dictionary of Bible Words, #3069), which was done to remind the Jewish reader in the synagogues to say, “Adonay” instead of speaking the name of God.
The Jewish Encyclopedia, states, “This name is commonly represented in modern translations by the form Jehovah, which, however, is a philological impossibility” (p. 160). The Jehovah’s Witnesses admittedly make a similar reference that the name Jehovah is inferior (in their Book: Let Your Name be Sanctified (p. 16). The name Jehovah is not the name of God! Consequently, the name Jesus is not Christ’s name either. The name of God is so important and lost, that the LORD must restore it. The LORD said, “For then I will restore to the peoples a pure language, that they all may call on the name of the LORD” (Zephaniah 3:9). To those who reject the true revealed name of given to our Savior {YAHSHUA}, there is this warning: “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God” (John 3:16). To use a false name not revealed by God as God’s name is tantamount to idolatry.

I have found out that there is a Sacred Name movement, which believes sincerely that one should pronounce the name of God and of his Son in a Hebrew-like version. I say Hebrew-like, because the Hebrew for the word YAH has a mappiq symbol in the H, which indicates the the H was not silent in ancient Hebrew but was pronounced (see en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mappiq). I wonder if those who use YAH for God's Name try to pronounce this consonantal H at the end, or just say "YA", and whether they believe that pronouncing the H is essential for God to accept our worship. Do they pronounce the consonantal H in YAH, Stephen, in their worship? Do they also pronounce this consonantal H when they say YAHSHUA, or do they just say "YASHUA"?

Another question I have is, if saying the name of our Savior as "YAHSHUA" is so essential, why did the writers of the New Testament consistently write his name in Greek as Ἰησοῦς, pronounced Yesuus? Why didn't they write Ιασουα, which, since there is no "sh" sound in Greek, would have been pronounced "YASUUA"? Obviously, God inspired them to write the Christ's name using the Greek form of the name Joshua, used for Joshua son of Nun (in Hebrew, Yehoshu'a ben Nun) in the Old Testament in the Greek Septuagint translation that early Christians used and quoted from in the New Testament.

Following the example of Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Paul, Peter, James and Jude (these are their names in English, not in Hebrew or Greek, but I am writing English now), Jehovah's Witnesses in the New World Translation have not followed the tradition of replacing the name YHWH by LORD, as the King James Version does most of the time (except for the four times it uses JEHOVAH). We use the form of YHWH used in the King James Version at Exodus 6:3, Psalm 83:18, Isaiah 12:2, Isaiah 26:4, and in English literature, which is Jehovah. We don't replace YHWH with YAH, since that would not reflect the two other letters, WH. We didn't try to put Yahweh, because not all scholars agree that it was pronounced that way, as the brochure The Divine Name That Endures Forever showed, on page 11 (one scholar says it was YeHūàH or YaHūàH, another Yaho or Yahou, see wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/1101984301),

Rotherham later changed his mind on the use of Jehovah. He used God’s name in his translation but preferred the form Yahweh. However, in a later work, Studies in the Psalms, published in 1911, he returned to the form Jehovah. Why? He explains: “JEHOVAH.-The employment of this English form of the Memorial name (Exo. 3:18) in the present version of the Psalter does not arise from any misgiving as to the more correct pronunciation, as being Yahwéh; but solely from practical evidence personally selected of the desirability of keeping in touch with the public ear and eye in a matter of this kind, in which the principal thing is the easy recognition of the Divine name intended.” See wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/1101984304

So, Steven Marlowe, all of the above research, which I have seen before, is meant to embarrass Jehovah's Witnesses, but it doesn't work with us. We are proud to be called Jehovah's Witnesses, and to use a translation that doesn't replace God's holy name with LORD or GOD. I recognize that those in the Sacred Name movement prefer to use YAH and YAHSHUA and they are free to do so. But what written evidence is there that the early Christians called our savior YAHSHUA?
