The same thing happened to the JW's in the WW2. They were tortured and thrown in the concentration camps because they are politically neutral and refused to support the war. They shared their food rations with the Jews, the homosexuals and the other persecuted groups in the camps. They stood by their God and protected the vulnerable in every way they could. Many were shot. Imagine the world today if everyone said no to war like they did. The Russian situation will spread worldwide, it's going to get uglier, they know that, and even in the face of death, they will remain loyal to their God and peaceful to the end. When Jesus Christ was on earth, he set higher standards for his followers, and he refused all involvement in political or military matters. After Jesus had miraculously fed several thousand people with a few loaves of bread and two small fish, Jewish men wanted to seize him and make him a political king. But Jesus avoided them by quickly withdrawing to the mountains. Until his Kingdom puts an end to the rule of political governments, Christ’s disciples follow his example. They render obedience to those established authorities but do not interfere in their political undertakings. A religion that shuns previous members is violating human rights. Imagine your family and friends shunning you 100% of the time because you didn’t believe their doctrines. @Eros Caerus - Why do JW’s deflect to other religions when they are trying to justify their actions? Other organizations also refuse the emblems of the last supper, they call it a Black Mass. So based on your justification JW’s celebrate Black Mass by rejecting Jesus Body. JWs DO have interaction with worldly people. They deal with them when working, they go to school with them, they have friends who aren’t JW’s and they knock on their doors to start conversations. But they refuse this interaction when someone leaves or is disfellowshipped. Also JWs do NOT have ownership of God. When someone realizes that the doctrines taught by JW’s are false, leaving them doesn’t indicate they left God. Rather it means they realized what is taught today will become old light tomorrow, or perhaps they delved into the history of the religion, or they began reading the Bible for themselves and realized that the JW application was incorrect. Last I checked children often don’t really understand adult decisions. Nor are they taught to delve deep. Most born in JW children are baptized before they reach adulthood. Jesus didn’t get baptized until he was in his 30’s for very good reason. But JW’s like to indoctrinate children at a young age so they will be dedicated and captured for life. Such is the reason many commit suicide because they feel trapped, be free and lose your family, or stay and suffer in what you don’t believe. Jesus never once shunned anyone, even Peter or Judas, even though he knew they would betray him. The few adults that become JW’s are not fully informed about all the changed doctrine over the last 145+ years. Many of these also don’t have knowledge of all the child abuse lawsuits and investigations currently going on and in the past. This is especially true if they come from a poor background without access to computers or a library. Any growth seen by this organization is currently happening in 3rd world countries, where people are desperate. Numbers have fallen in the US and other industrialized nations where technology is more accessible.
We pray for all these people and that the regime in Russia will come to an end soon. Father Jehovah please comfort our brothers and sisters who stand firm on what they believe.

I have plenty of issues with the JW's but I don't wish this on anyone, the fact that it's ideological persecution in our time, and the world is silent, sets a very worrying precedent. Take the plight of Tibet, or the Uyghurs for example, and it begins to dawn on a person that governments can pretty much do as they damn well please, if the group attacked is relatively small, fringe, or isolated no one cares.
Tibetans, Christians, Falun Gong, Uighur Muslims, Buddhist, ataoist are now being persecuted in China because the CCP fear the influence of these religions. They preach every one will die if you're not a Jehovah's witnesses. The Watchtower organization is a cult and if you leave you cannot speak to your family and friends. The blood issu is certainly one of the reasons they are persecuted everywhere; JWs are willing to die instead of taking a blood transfusion. i was raised catholic, then as i got older the catholic religion began to creep me out, the statues were like people frozen in time really creepy, but their message made no sense to me, so i began to attend different christian religions and still made no sense, until i began to attend the kingdom hall with the Jehovahs witnesses, i began to listen to a message that sounded so true, i have compared and the witnesses are the true faith.

I've personally studied with Jehovah's witnesses for 5 years when I was a teen. However, I could never get myself to convert. They didn't pressure me to convert and anyone with a brain is able to distinguish what lines up with their beliefs and what doesn't. Most of them are good people and it's not my place or yours to judge them. God is the only judge. Everyone is flawed. Therefore the interpretation of religions will be flawed because all flawed people assume they have the right understanding of religion that they lose sight of what it's supposed to be about. So they begin to impose their ridiculous views and force people to follow them claiming that's what God wants but in all truth it's their way of controlling others. People should have the right to form their own views without outside influence. Our relationship with God is just that. It's between us and him and no one else. He sees what's in our hearts and is the only one that has the right to pass judgment on us.
They are peaceful like Charlie Manson was peaceful. They don't actually do violence but by their sick mind control and manipulation they are very dangerous. So its like playing with a copper head. You do so at your own peril.

When ever I ask a Jehovah witness If Jesus was to walk inside one of the Jws kingdom halls, would Jesus speak to a disfellowshipped person or would he do what the JWs do and ignore that person?? I never get a response....

Well, I live in America. I was disfellowshipped in late 2017 and I know I'm going to be destroyed for failing my test from Jehovah. I'm at an odds with the organization but I still worship Jehovah. I pray daily, I still guide others to Jehovah, I still study my watchtower and I secretly listen in to God's message every Sunday and Thursday. Look, I KNOW IM GOING TO DIE!!! IVE BEEN SHOWN IT!!! I remember seeing all of those images in the “Book of Bible Stories” as a kid. That last illustration of innocent people being brutally murdered by an uncaring god still makes me cringe. And the use of specific stimuli and other things has entrapped you just as it did me. Let's come to the context here.. jehovah's witness preach the arrival of God's kingdom and all worldly governments will be destroyed. I am an ex-witness and really hate the cult because of their practice of shunning and attitudes to child abuse. I would love to see it disintegrate. But attacking these individuals is morally obscene. The persecuting of minorities, whether religious, racial or cultural is for short term political gain. That is why governments persecute refugees. That's why fascism thrives where people tolerate hate. Islamophobia, anti-Semitism, racist and nationalist political movements and all actions that create an us-and-them tribal atmosphere cannot benefit the people of any nation or region.
I don't practice the religion anymore due to some very damning things they do and things they have lied about. Even that being the case, this treatment is inhumane and wrong. I'm not for it and don't support it at all.

The same thing happened to the JW's in the WW2. They were tortured and thrown in the concentration camps because they are politically neutral and refused to support the war.

A religion that shuns previous members is violating human rights. Imagine your family and friends shunning you 100% of the time because you didn’t believe their doctrines. This has caused many to commit suicide and is considered in humane in the mental health field. JW’s shun and destroy family’ on a daily basis.
@Eros Caerus - Why do JW’s deflect to other religions when they are trying to justify their actions? Other organizations also refuse the emblems of the last supper, they call it a Black Mass. So based on your justification JW’s celebrate Black Mass by rejecting Jesus Body.
JWs DO have interaction with worldly people. They deal with them when working, they go to school with them, they have friends who aren’t JW’s and they knock on their doors to start conversations. But they refuse this interaction when someone leaves or is disfellowshipped.
Also JWs do NOT have ownership of God. When someone realizes that the doctrines taught by JW’s are false, leaving them doesn’t indicate they left God. Rather it means they realized what is taught today will become old light tomorrow, or perhaps they delved into the history of the religion, or they began reading the Bible for themselves and realized that the JW application was incorrect.
Last I checked children often don’t really understand adult decisions. Nor are they taught to delve deep. Most born in JW children are baptized before they reach adulthood. Jesus didn’t get baptized until he was in his 30’s for very good reason. But JW’s like to indoctrinate children at a young age so they will be dedicated and captured for life. Such is the reason many commit suicide because they feel trapped, be free and lose your family, or stay and suffer in what you don’t believe.
Jesus never once shunned anyone, even Peter or Judas, even though he knew they would betray him.
The few adults that become JW’s are not fully informed about all the changed doctrine over the last 145+ years. Many of these also don’t have knowledge of all the child abuse lawsuits and investigations currently going on and in the past. This is especially true if they come from a poor background without access to computers or a library. Any growth seen by this organization is currently happening in 3rd world countries, where people are desperate. Numbers have fallen in the US and other industrialized nations where technology is more accessible.
We pray for all these people and that the regime in Russia will come to an end soon. Father Jehovah please comfort our brothers and sisters who stand firm on what they believe.

I have plenty of issues with the JW's but I don't wish this on anyone, the fact that it's ideological persecution in our time, and the world is silent, sets a very worrying precedent. Take the plight of Tibet, or the Uyghurs for example, and it begins to dawn on a person that governments can pretty much do as they damn well please, if the group attacked is relatively small, fringe, or isolated no one cares.
Tibetans, Christians, Falun Gong, Uighur Muslims, Buddhist, ataoist are now being persecuted in China because the CCP fear the influence of these religions. Russia is persecuting Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons, Moonies, Evangelicals, Scienyologists. Yes, these religions have problems but that is in their leadership that doesn't even reside in Russia. This is Putin cozying up with the Russian Orthodox Church.

They preach every one will die if you're not a Jehovah's witnesses. The Watchtower organization is a cult and if you leave you cannot speak to your family and friends. You cannot pursue higher education and discourage careers. The governing body does not help the witnesses in Russia or any one for that matter. I've personally studied with Jehovah's witnesses for 5 years when I was a teen. However, I could never get myself to convert. They didn't pressure me to convert and anyone with a brain is able to distinguish what lines up with their beliefs and what doesn't. Most of them are good people and it's not my place or yours to judge them. God is the only judge. Everyone is flawed. Therefore the interpretation of religions will be flawed because all flawed people assume they have the right understanding of religion that they lose sight of what it's supposed to be about. So they begin to impose their ridiculous views and force people to follow them claiming that's what God wants but in all truth it's their way of controlling others. People should have the right to form their own views without outside influence. Our relationship with God is just that. It's between us and him and no one else. He sees what's in our hearts and is the only one that has the right to pass judgment on us.

Well, I live in America. I was disfellowshipped in late 2017 and I know I'm going to be destroyed for failing my test from Jehovah. I'm at an odds with the organization but I still worship Jehovah. I am an ex-witness and really hate the cult because of their practice of shunning and attitudes to child abuse. I would love to see it disintegrate. But attacking these individuals is morally obscene. The persecuting of minorities, whether religious, racial or cultural is for short term political gain. That is why governments persecute refugees. That's why fascism thrives where people tolerate hate. Islamophobia, anti-Semitism, racist and nationalist political movements and all actions that create an us-and-them tribal atmosphere cannot benefit the people of any nation or region.
