    Some of my takeaways:
    1. Two games a day max
    2. Do your puzzles (15/15 if possible, 60 percent is good, set aside an hour).
    3. Don't do TOO many puzzles. Don't do too much.
    4. Stick to one opening
    5. Sometimes you need a break. Don't always be playing. Everyone gets tilted and that's okay, just gotta take a break.

Nice for Levy to point out that taking a break might be a good thing. I had my first +150 point drop from +1400 to 1250 a few days ago and would've probably gone even further down if I'd continued to play in full tilt. After regrouping it took me half a day to gain back over 100 points.

I had been stuck at about 1100 for 2 and a half months when this video came out. I followed Levy’s instructions, started doing more puzzles, learned some openings that take my opponents out of my comfort zone and really stuck with them, and started analyzing my games, and lo and behold in the past month I climbed about 150 ELO in rapid and I don’t feel quite as stuck. Levy, if by any chance you’re reading this, thanks for being such a great teacher, content creator, and entertainer. Hey Levy, just found this video. In 2017-18, I got hard into chess and was rated around 1100. I finally came back this year and have been stuck around 750. I decided to pick one opening for white (London) and two for black (Sicilian Dragon and Budapest), focusing on eliminating blunders and playing solid moves, and have gone up from 750 to 850 in the last month. I finally have my passion for chess again and hope to keep climbing the ratings.

I started at age 9 way before the internet. I just played friends, but I did study a lot in my teens. I had no idea there was such a thing as tournaments back then. Then came the Fischer boom. I started tournaments at age 20 and played off and on for 6-7 years. My peak rating was 1905. Decades later I took up chess to teach my kids and now I coach in a school. Thinking about tournaments again and wondering if getting to FM is a realistic goal.

As for puzzles, somebody could do puzzle rush, puzzle battle, custom puzzle or simply do puzzle on lichess or somewhere where puzzles are free. In all those cases they would not show there.
I also think it is difficult to have a good rating at puzzles, they tend to give you puzzles at the upper end of your capabilities, so they are difficult.
Myself I mix it a lot with puzzle rush to get a little less discouraged, or I do puzzles from books.
I like to do relatively easier puzzles to consolidate patterns and to get confidence that I can do something.
Maybe I should instead strive more with difficult puzzles.
Or do an healthy mix of the two things.
I also try to copy puzzle I fail when I have time, and will redo them. I want to buy or find a way to do a rubber stump set so that I can do my diagrams on paper in no time and have my own collection of failed puzzles to do again and again.
