Toxic fans? Fans aren’t hiring these mid coaches. Fans aren’t sending out two players wearing the same number on a punt return. Fans don’t have an 11-14 record. And most of us don’t make 49 million over 7 years. Blaming fans is maybe the most loser move in sports.

I’ll say this- all we’d hear if recruitment was going well is the same sht we heard last year about losing them all after a bad season. There’s a portion of the fanbase that just like to be negative and complain about anything. There’s a portion of people that prefer negativity and spreading it. These are the same people that tell a normal, supportive fan that they “ accept losing “. It’s not that, we just don’t whine and complain about everything we encounter in life. These people are most likely to act negatively and complain in their everyday lives. We’ve all met them and most of us avoid them like the plague. Dave and Shelton are often criticized for being “ fanboys “ yet both of them are honest about the state of the football program and produce entertaining content for all of us to watch. Hopefully we have a good season. Go Gators
I can’t believe we are having these recruiting and “acceptable record” questions in year 3. We are actually hoping for a top 15 recruiting class and being ok with 6-7 wins.
These conversations alone should make it obvious Napier is not the guy to lead this program back to prominence.

After Michigan beat Ohio State in 2022, I saw OSU fans wanting Ryan Day fired. This was right before they got selected to be in the playoffs.
There are plenty of toxic fans in Gator nation absolutely. Their standards compare to Bama fans which is absolutely ridiculous considering we can't compare to them. I think this really stems from Georgia being so great the past years and beyond. We can't stop that train we just got to catch up it's going to be a process.

When Spurier won all of those SEC titles and then won it all in 96 the fan base went toxic when he didn't at least win an SEC ,been when he won 10 games they were calling for his job it would have happened with Myer if he would have stayed so yes our fan base is toxic they were calling for Steves head and would have for Myer's to. Ive been a fan since the 1950's so take what I say for what it's worth
I was at UF in the 90’s. Nobody was calling for Spurriers head towards the end. That’s ridiculous. You can’t say one of the biggest, most loyal fan bases is toxic. Frustrated, absolutely. Who wouldn’t be after 15 years without a championship?
Dave, I’m 29 and I remember times when 7-8 wins would get you fired at Florida lol. Seen it happen to Zook. Would 8 wins be progress, yeah it would, but still shows that the team would be mediocre. I believe we’re better than that. 9 wins could possibly get us in the playoff. I know the Swamp, and when we’re on point, nobody can step to us. We have to take care of the swamp, and steal some on the road as well. I don’t see why we couldn’t start 5-0 out the gate.
When It comes to recruiting it's a simple fix, if Napier has a winning season the recruiting class will be top 10! A lot of recruits are hesitant due to the fact that Napier on the hot seat.
All fan bases are a little bit toxic
The AD is incentivized to keep Napier around even with a bad record. Scott is gone if he has to fire Napier, so no way that happens if we win 6 or more. Maybe even 5.

What investors would invest in Billy Napier? 3 years in and his program still has no identity. Hasn't shown he can put an at least functional product on the field on Saturdays and is a mid AF play caller. Offense looks high school level. Investors not gon invest in this and i don't blame em

My question as always is if Napier isn’t the guy then who is???? Gators fans want one of these popcorn 11-2 season where they purge the portal and get lucky in a few recruiting pick ups just to turn around and have a bad drop off the next season, and being back to square 1…… that’s only going to make the fans more impatient for a title 😂
@@savageaustin19 I don’t think you hang on to a coach in fear the next might not be better. If it’s time to go, it’s time to go. I’m not there yet.
@@GatorsBreakdown I agree not to hang on to someone out of fear, but then again you don’t want to be in a pickle where you fire a guy and then look into the market and say “oh crap” there’s not much out there that’s better. I’m not there either in terms of letting him go, but if he’s fired after 24’-25’ season….. who theoretically would even make sense???
@savageaustin19 not a single soul. Napier was our best option and as of yet, I'm not on the fire Napier train either. At the very least fans should watch how 24 plays out before they're ready to jump ship.
Of course I'm not blind and the results are the results. Imho it should always be a 3 year minimum for any coach.
It’s been two years! Two bad seasons. But if we are being real, It takes time to build. It takes time to build anything that is successful. Nape and Co are building. They could care less about what is being said. I just tune it out to as a listener. I have been apart of programs on collegiate level and understand this. Most people who have never played the sport sit back and make comments without understanding what it takes.
