I loved to see your smile Roscoe, exactly at my favourite part of the song - Joonie's verse! I fell in love with rocker Joonie here and this song is actually my favourite track coz i just feel like he's able to let loose and let go of everything and just enjoy himself at the end.
Around the world in a day brings me back to my childhood when my parents listened to The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Bowie and Prince. (in that order - ish)
The title of the program ie "The Lost! Show" struck me. That could actually have been the album title - being lost in all sense of the word. Not lost as in clueless. Yet, maybe...about life in general as we grow. But Joonie being Joonie, he is going to give you a play on words, and he is going to make you think. Hence - RPWP. For 'Lost', I thought about this, too, when you reacted to the MV - I felt that it was deliberately shown how - and how him and Yoongi are saying - that amidst the cheers and adoration, it still (at the particular point in time) did not bring them the happiness they sought. There's always still the emptiness. At that stage in their life/lives. Joonie feeling frustrated (you've mentioned in this reaction) ...all in a span of his 20s and now almost 30 years of age. Impressionable years. Excruciating, almost, what our boys in BTS have been through. Yet, years of maturity. Therein, yes : music = human connection. Absolutely. (Short note on 'Around The World...' - a mosaic of colours, don't you think?)
Its Dec 2024 and i am back to listen again to RM RPWP....and your reviews. So many new releases since RPWP and yet i have good reason to move on from this.....infact Indigo sounds even better on its 2nd anniversary......RM discography is still my fav since Mono....
