@@TheMetalHunter was lucky enough to see them in 98 at ozzfest uk. They we're one of my favourite bands. Dez influenced my hair and my piercings etc. Met them briefly when my bud flashed the coal chamber logo he had tattooed across his gut haha. Ahhh those were the days.
got into this band days ago, coal chamber is fuckin awesome, i'm 17 and absolutely love nu metal bands especially coal chamber, my fav songs by them at the moment is Big Truck, I and Sway, great reaction btw
The shit Meegs puts his fucking guitar through, man....lol But I can't deny, that's what makes him so goddamn cool! Literally I got my stage presence FROM HIM! Sliding guitars on shit like he did (but mostly on mic stands since I never did gigs big enough to have ACTUAL monitor speakers), and other stuff he does lol
It could be due to the fact that I grew up with nu metal, but I don't really get the metal scene's abject hatred of it. Sure, it was popular and every new band coming out was copying the style, as well as some old bands *COUGH* Machine Head *COUGH*, but I don't think the whole scene was bad. Coal Chamber, Static-X, and Powerman 5000 were (and are still) some of my favorite bands to come from the scene.
stealthRUSH I actually don't like Chamber Music as much as the others. Not that it's "bad" per say, just feels different from the others. Seems more melodic and unsettling, and less aggressive. Maybe I need to give it a listen to refresh my memory.
Man I used to jam hard on this group back in the day, still sounds damn good. Speaking of very young kids enjoying excellent music, you should check out Yoyoka, this 10-year-old girl is a drumming beast: ua-cam.com/video/Njmd7hWGpr4/v-deo.html
Always thought Mike was a pretty underrated drummer.
Lungfull drummer great point!! He always played with such passion and power! It’s pretty apparent in this video that he loves what he does.

Me & Nath both crack out this song fairly often at work, plus a whole bunch of other Nu Metal songs. Takes me back to simple times.
I saw CC on the reunion tour and it was one of my all time favorite shows. My inner 17 year old is STILL riding a high from that show.
Coal chamber is my favorite band even still in 38 years old now been my favorite since I was 16
