    I suffered SSNHL in both ears simultaneously 3 years ago and the Dr's believe I had some form of viral infection of my brain dura but basically I lost 100% of my hearing in about 40mins. Infortunately I was initially misdiagnosed and didn't get the prednisone until it was too late. Fortunately I was an ideal candidate for a CI which i had installed in May 22.

      @@HearingSolutionCtr honestly one of the best decisions I made. I went from 0% vocal accuracy (obvs being profoundly deaf) to 6 months later hitting 96% on the verbal listening tests. I still need to lipread quite a lot, especially in busy environments but one on one in casual circumstances it's almost normal. I'd recommend a CI to anyone in my situation 100%

Again in 2022 I lost hearing on the right ear, after a One day of having vertigo and losing balance. Again underwent the same procedure at the best ENT facility. Nothing recovered. Suggested for CI but no guarantee at my age of 55. Please enlighten about the risks involved in CI and side effects if any

Over time total silence has gone to tinitis and now some tinny hearing (like a blown speaker) that now interferes with good hearing from other ear. What would you recommend I do or not do while “recovering” from SSNHL. I was put on heavy prednisone therapy couple days ago. Should I keep ears covered, no ear plugs, etc? Any thoughts about low level rumbling noise I hear?

It's starting to slowly, but it's I just hear vibrations from nothing not even to fill my earlobe with my left hand starting to come back I'm praying

    Thank you for your video! Sorry for my not ideal English.
    I have Sensorineural Hearing Loss. Complete deafness on the left and hearing loss of level 3rd on the right. The hearing loss occurred probably due to meningoencephalitis when I was 9 months old. I had 2nd level of hearing loss before severe flu, which happened when I was 14. I don't know deaf language, I communicate with people like ordinary people. Yes, my spelling and pronunciation could be better and never will be, but I can talk with people. I wore an "analog" hearing aid; I grew up with it. Then came "digital" hearing aids, which are useless to me. Because they have a peculiarity, they make conversations louder and the sound of the car behind me or the birds quieter. This is their "specificity." And for me, on the contrary, I need to hear cars and birds because I already recognize conversations quite well. Only under certain circumstances do I hear very poorly when a person is far from me, and there is no possibility of being closer (instructor, teacher, counsellor in a kinder campus...). No matter how much I asked to reconfigure the device - it's all in vain, they already twisted it to the maximum. And that's why I now feel that there is that hearing aid, that it is not there - there is no difference. That's why I completely stopped wearing a hearing aid. I have already accepted myself as I already am. Yes, my pronunciation suffers, and people make judgments about it. A cochlear implant may not help me because doctors suspect that either the nerves that carry sound to the brain are damaged or the area of the brain responsible for hearing and recognition is affected. Since even hearing from the left side (absolute deafness) is not transmitted even through the auricle. While progress is developing, I am trying to improve my hearing; I speak Ukrainian, Russian, and English, and I want to learn other languages and learn to play the piano or guitar (unfortunately, I do not hear the highest notes of the piano, only the knock (vibro) from the keys. I do more effort to pronounce words clearly, I pay more attention to it, as it is my weak point.
    Yesterday, I was on a First Aid Course and couldn't understand almost anything because of my hearing loss. I have a dream to have a hearing aid that fits me.

    • @HearingSolutionCtr
      @HearingSolutionCtr  5 днів тому

      First off, you can adjust hearing aids to have a more "Analog" sound in the digitals. But they will never and haven't made a non-Digital hearing aid in way too many years. That's never going to happen. I don't mean to burst your bubble but you need to hear the truth!

    • @m.b.4884
      @m.b.4884 5 днів тому

      @@HearingSolutionCtr Yes, I understand, that both hearing aids are digital. But between two of them there is sooo big difference. “Analog” hadn’t manipulations with sounds, last hearing aid has and I didn’t like this last.

    • @HearingSolutionCtr
      @HearingSolutionCtr  4 дні тому

      @@m.b.4884 Again, I can only GUESS at a lot of things here. Newer aids have abilities to "manipulate" the sounds thru the app. That's a huge change...but you also need an Audiologist who knows how to make that hearing aid you need (all are ONLY digital now) more "Analog" in nature.

    I had SSHL, was misdiagnosed by 3 doctors, day 1, day 2, day 3. I was not referred to an ENT until day 11. It was too late. I am deaf in the left ear. As a court reporter I lost my career. It was devastating.

    • @HearingSolutionCtr
      @HearingSolutionCtr  4 місяці тому

      @HearingSolutionCtr  5 місяців тому

      OK so a tuning fork hasn't been used as a test in more than 30 years by any reputable Audiologist I know of. It cannot give any info to distinguish whether you have Conductive or Sensorineural hearing loss. You need to schedule with an Audiologist to find out more.

    Sir, can this hearing problem could be fixed by your treatment... If yes... How much does the treatment cost?

    • @DrScottYoung
      @DrScottYoung 2 роки тому

      The only type of treatment (90% of cases) is the point of getting hearing aids. Hearing Aids tend to range 2500-5000-6000-7000 for a pair of hearing aids.

    Hi , I have this condition, is it possible to find out more about that operation? It would be amazing to hear again is stereo😊 not mono with that tinnitus. Is really annoying

      That's why you must get a full evaluation by an Audiologist to know what the problem is. An Operation can only come AFTER an Evaluation by the Audiologist.

      Muhammad, I am so sorry about that. I am putting a video series that you can watch. There are going to be humanitarian monies that will come available that you can get your daughter's Cochlear Implant paid for. It's coming soon...it's called GESARA. It's happening soon!

    do MRI is necessary for this problem?

    • @HearingSolutionCtr
      @HearingSolutionCtr  2 роки тому +1

      An MRI is completely unnecessary for this type of hearing loss. If it was ordered, I would hope that they were looking for a tumor. If they weren't, it was badly requested.

    Had a sinus infection & ear infection 3 months ago & apparently it was a virus that killed my ear fibers and I’ve lost my hearing. It’s too bad that I saw Drs 3 times in the 3 months and not one thought it was anything else besides a stubborn ear infection. 3 rounds of antibiotic drops were prescribed, ear flushed but nothing produced, waited six weeks for ent appt, and the PA said now it’s probably too late, due to being outside of the 3 month window and I’ll likely be hard if hearing with tinnitus forever. Not fair I was brushed under the rug.

      While I cannot 100% state this, having a sinus infection with a middle ear infection is not a forever infection with a forever Tinnitus problem. I am super sorry you were not treated quickly enough. It is NOT too late. I am praying for you right now for healing. It is though NOT too late. Get into the ENT to get an appt so that they can help your middle ear space cleaned up.

      On February 15th I woke up with what I thought was a plug left ear. Now 3 months later I have lost total hearing In that ear. After seeing my Doctor went on antibiotics , which didn't help. After that hearing test that showed total hearing loss in that ear next step ENT , 5 shot in my ear drum. With no good results. Now can't go outside my door if someone is cutting their lawn . Because I can't handle the noise. I'm depressed and having a hard time dealing with this and I can't get any answers as to how to cope with this... Doctor don't seem to have time for people anymore. Sad world 😢

      @@HearingSolutionCtr Seen THE ENT already. Waiting for phone appointment for results of MRI. Which I was told already that it didn't show anything. Maybe next step will be crossover hearing aid. I don't know much about them , if they will be the answer for me.

    I lost my right ear before 6 days ago. Start treating with ENT doctor. One vaccine is given and prednitab-5 is my medicine. Can I expect some recovery?

      I am telling anyone with Vaccine injuries to work on Ivermectin as a treatment. Prednitab is a steroid that's a start but take Ivermectin as well.

    I have this and it resulted in permanent loss of 90% in my left ear and severe tinnitus. Question is, how is it when flying?

    • @HearingSolutionCtr
      @HearingSolutionCtr  2 роки тому +1

      If it's inner ear (your ears are not plugged up), then flights should not affect it.

      There are types of ear traumas that can happen. You really need to get that checked. Go to an ENT or an Audiologist as a first level.
