Okay, i´ll be honest, i am not feeling good, i didn´t put myself in the video because Hamilton is funnier and more entretaining to watch than me, i had been thinking and doing wrong stuff that no one should do (I´M OKAY)..and some days are darkers than others but i´m trying to keep going … i don´t have a reason yet but i´m searching for one…PLEASE do not worry about me, i hate when people do that, whenever i feel like this i always writte something for you guys, because i start thinking that someone might been feeling as bad as me or worst so by the writting i´m trying to give the hug i needed for that moment, there is ALWAYS someone out there to help you, please talk with a friend or with a profesional if you feel bad, it might seem dark at the begining but sooner or later we will all be able to see the light we need. Remmember, everyday can be The Best Day Ever we just need to allow ourselves to enjoy every second we have.

@@thedramaclub2198 it's not only when Laurens died, Alexander was a tormented man, everyone he loved left so there were more BAD things that hit him hard besides Laurens death, like when the Hurricane destoryed his town, his mother died, his mentor died, his son died, etc so this Hamilton is just focusing on those things during this animatic. So yeah...

Hamilton was actually depressed in real life. Some historians believe the duel between Hamilton and Burr was a disguised-suicide.
i mean, his whole life was shit. His father left, his mother, brother, cousin, and close friend died. A hurricane destroyed his hometown. He got scammed resulting him writing the Reynold's Pamphlet which damaged his reputation. He got fired by John Adams just because he thinks that Alex was arrogant. He saw his close friend and father figure ( George Washington ) die. His son died on a duel which he had no idea about ( In real life, Philip went to his uncle for advice and the uncle gave him the guns ). His daughter had a mental disorder because Philip died.
He was a war veteran, he knew the consequences of dueling. Even if Burr opposes the idea of dueling, there was still a risk. He wrote what his intentions were and he did what he wrote. Knowing full well, that Burr will fire his gun at him for staining his reputation ( Burr intended to shoot at Alex's arm, he had terrible aim, and since Alex was fighting along side him, he knew. When he shot Alex, he had no idea that it was gonna go for his ribs, he tried to walk towards him but he was ushered away).

He pretty much did “suicide by cop” except it was “suicide by duel” (obviously not confirmed just in speculation)
i personally don't believe he was suicidal.
5 hours before the duel he wrote hist last letter to Eliza (its wasn't the best of wives letter btw) saying that he wishes to make it out alive, he also wrote a list of reasons on why he didn't want to duel Burr... he didn't thought Burr would really kill him, after all Hamilton dueled about 10 times in his life and probably thought his duel with Burr would end up like the others: with no harm
I feel like this would be Hamilton if he outlived Eliza.

You can just see, from his hair, to his face, that when he's at home or in his workplace he hides his problems, and only Washington, Eliza, and Martha can see it because they saw what he looked like before act 2 began, before his Depression.
It just shows how much Alexander changed after the war, and after Laurens's death.
However, I think he also had some mental health issues during the war

This is the summary of his whole damn life. Literally every person was diying, he had depression, he was constantly looking after their children just for Philip being close to die at his 15 and then diying at 19. He was slowly getting worse, and that's why he missed his shot because he had everything to win, but he wanted to make sure...that after the duel he will die. He didn't cared about himself anymore.
Okay, I'm questioning myself right now- I somehow felt happy to see that someone FINALLY acknowledged Hamilton's mental health and seeing him dying inside. Yeah something's wrong with me but thank the lords I was loosing my sH1+ seeing almost everyone in Hamilton get some perspective and I wait for Alex's and I see nothing and I loose my mind and avoid them cause I'm probably going insane by laughing at videos where Alex dies or suffers inside. By the way good video I really love it! It's unique and it stands out from the fandom.
After his son died, his life spiralled from there, you can hear the pain in his voice in the world was wide enough, it hurts to see it
The pain and suffering my brother-in-law felt is something he keeps secret to people who are close to him. Only the people who can see through him are able to find out. I'd trade everything I have to not let him feel the pain he felt, but alas, I'm forever too late.
I love how durring the hey part it basiclly showed how hamiltons life went downhill after laurens died

Honestly, this is now my favourite Hamilton animatic. Not many people out on youtube view characters in such way (especially in Hamilton) but its great to see someone who makes things like this reality. (I hope that made sense lol)

I like how it acknowledges how in history, Hamilton and Laurens really were lovers and sent letters to each other. You can actually see that they even included in a drawing a paper that said: "My Dearest Laurens," which was the beginning of a real letter Hamilton sent Laurens.

I JUST THOUGHT OF SOMETHING AFTER REWATCHING THIS FOR THE 36TH TIME:
At 0:44, maybe he has some sort of PTSD. Heavy rain/storms make him upset and worried since it's also the signs of a hurricane, and the "demons" in that frame are the people he saw lose their lives to a hurricane

This does make a lot of sense, trauma makes you do or feel things...irrationally. It's really sad. In the first song, it's said his Father leaves, his mother dies, his cousin kills himself, he sees slaves being treated unfairly, he has to survive on his own (at a young age), a hurricane hits! No wonder he has trust issues, abandonment issues, the fear of being forgotten, and wondering when (or how) he's going to die. For people to COMPLETELY forget all of that (plus the ADDED trauma of being IN A WAR) and only see "the guy who cheats" or "the guy who's annoying" or "the one who breaks promises" really bothers me.
I know right he has been through a lot and everyone only cares about his wife and they think she is pure and innocent but she is so mean to him and his family.

The fact that Hamilton was actually really depressed but he suppressed it so much. I think Hamilton was definitely suicidal...apparently he taunted Burr on purpose to a duel...so...poor guy.

I think that just makes Alex’s character more interesting and complex. If you think about it his unhealthy obsession with his legacy was probably caused by and extreme fear of being forgotten due to a lot of people he knew dying and people forgetting about them when he was in the Carreibiean. Alex definitely made his life harder for himself though probably subconsciously.

I’m years late to this but the detail of him re-reading and burning Lauren’s letters was so sad cause in real life so many of their letter have been destroyed for no apparent reason. Just wanted to say that detail was amazing, and I hope James gets a therapist as well.

By the time of writing this you're probably still working on 'We Know,' but I'd still love to see a Hamilton Animatic (or animation) using the song 'Soldier, Poet, King.' I think there can be multiples combinations of characters with this, but here are 2 ideas!
Jefferson- Soldier, Hamilton- Poet, Washingdad- King
Madison- Soldier, Hamilton- Poet, Jefferson- King
But that's just for act 2, generally, I bet you'd come up with smarter character combinations. It's such a great song, and it can tie into Hamilton. So consider it.
