Thank you very much for the tips dude, this is the first time my beard has looked this amazing!, it got proper full/dense and the curls that i had are not visible anymore... What an awesome tip!!❤
Great advice. Just recieved some oil and beard butter from West Cork Beard company. Fantastic quality and unique scents! Will be back for more! Well done. It's great to have a homegrown beard product company!
I need this video. My beard hairs on my underchin like to grow flat with my chin and make my jaw look shorter. Ill have to find a place where i can get a brush
What about the beard under the chin? I brush the beard downward way and in photos my chin area looks smaller and the the area near neck looks larger, cause I brush backwards
@@westcorkbeardcompany But brushing against the grain, wouldn't that negatively impact the hair follicles? It could cause pain since it's not the natural direction. Causing beard loss?
I brush my beard upwards to expose the skin before I put on beard oil. Then I brush it again afterwards. I brush my beard multiple times a day every chance I get. This helps the beard look it's best 👌
@@westcorkbeardcompany Thank you so much for that valuable information. It looks like you have a beard company what brush do you recommend I want to make sure I use the right one. Much appreciated
I would always recommend a medium brush. If it's too soft then it won't get into the beard properly. If it's too hard however, it will scrape the face off you! 😂
Bro i got only some beard right next to my ear and rest every where very small beard growth is there Can you suggest me some oil for growth i am already 19
There is no such thing as beard growth oil...all that is marketing BS! Time and patience are the only things that will grow a beard. You will also have a much fuller beard in your twenties and thirties, so please be patient 👍
What about brushing the neck hair from the neck line? As my beard gets fuller, I’m about 15 weeks in, do I finish by brushing the hair below my chin along the line of my neck or forward to promote fullness
Hi Stan, if you're still at the brush phase then I would go back down along the line of your neck but avoid wrapping the brush around your chin (as this sometimes creates a dent). You're almost to the point where you will be switching to a comb...here's a video on how I comb a bigger beard 👍
@@stananderson5839 I would definitely switch to a comb at about one inch of growth...usually about 8 weeks. Once it goes beyond that length you can shape and detangle the beard a lot easier with a comb
Usually beard hair coming out is a sign that your beard may not be at its healthiest. Are you using beard oil daily? Also use a wider toothed comb...perhaps your comb has fine teeth and is not gliding through your beard as it should
@arct1x073 If you have irritated skin, then you have to be careful. Focus on fixing the irritation first, and then you can brush as often as you like 👍
Hi Colin, thank you for the great video! I'm worried that using a boar bristle brush like this, because doing this on my 6 month beard will pull out lots of hairs. Is this normal to have like 10-15 beard hairs on my bristle brush each time I brush my hair? I don't want to rip out any hairs or damage my beard, but am trying to make my beard nicer by following your advice. What do you think? Thank you.
Make sure you're using beard oil and keeping that beard as healthy as possible...this will avoid too much hair coming out. However brushing your beard will make it look great and those hairs may have been damaged so needed to come out. That's the beauty of the beard brush doing it's job
Thank you Colin, that's what I will do! I just took my big beard down to stubble and I will grow it out again with the tips you've given. Please keep up the great work, your channel is awesome and you have a great attitude!
@@ski9392you gotta use beard oil twice a day dude, before i was looking after my beard, i was having so much hair in my hand while going through it but now hardly any hair comes of. Look after your beard, your beard will thank you
Thanks for the advice. However, I didn’t not see this step in your morning routine video. Your beard already looked brushed before you applied the oil in that video. So do you brush it all out before applying oil or after?
Yes, you should brush your beard once it gets to about three weeks or so. It will help the beard hair grow correctly, stimulate the skin under your beard and keep it clean. Hope this helps!
Thank you for this!! So the internet tells me I can only brush my beard once a day. Is that true? Is it okay to brush it a few times a day? I have about a 2 month beard and it’s nice and full. I have been blessed to grow fast

@@westcorkbeardcompany Okay...Thank you for the information🤝. Collins My name is Robertson Vena My question is that Facial Cleanser is good for growing a healthier Beard?
Hi Shane, yes you apply your beard balm first and then brush everything through. If you are using both beard oil and beard balm then apply the oil, brush it, then apply the balm and brush once again. After all this wait for five minutes (this allows the balm to harden slightly) then give it one final brush using your hands as well. Check out either the Beard Oil or Beard Balm video I've done if you need to see exactly how I do it. Thanks! Colin
Gonna be honest, tried this with my beard and then after I straightened it out with the boar brush, i tried to comb through it and it was way more tangled then before. So for me... this method made my beard worse
Very interesting! Always good to get feedback from other beards and this shows how beards can be different. Have always got very good results with this method on my type of beard. Appreciate you commenting and watching the video 🙌🏽👊🏾
Oh, come on. My beard? Your beard? My hormones. Your hormones? What I've got--well, what I've got this side of the grave--seems likely to look all that better for special combing, and special ointments at the "open viewing." I won't be there; I won't care. Not that I'm that vain, but not all that self-conscious. Genetics gave me what I have; why get all in a twist about it? There's always the razor.
Thanks for this, just got my first brush didn’t know if I should be going over just the top or getting in there.

A quick question, since i have never used beard oil, won't it make the beard more sticky?
A quality beard oil is never sticky! It should be absorbed into your beard and will leave it softer and looking vibrant 👍
@@westcorkbeardcompany thanks, I May be young, but my beard already is starting to look fully, and I just kinda wanna look cooler than my 2 co-workers

Thanks Mahendra! Delighted you like it!
can I use a soft brush ?
Yes, that would work...I like the boar hair as it absorbs the product and helps spread it around your beard
Why do you stimulate the skin underneath
Brushing the skin exfoliates it, gets rid of dry skin, and increases blood flow to that area...all great things for a healthy beard
