Idk how this doesn’t have more likes. I feel very confident to do this job in the next couple of weeks! Great job explaining it all!
+Austin right?! 😁. Should be easy after watching. Thanks! 🍻

Thanks a ton my friend!!! Awesome video…
+@livingintruthchurch right on! 🍻
Awesome video, highly recommend this DIY for any beginners changing their VGC for the first time or for a quick refresh. Very helpful and informative. Making it look easy and mostly one handed. Subbed!
+Yuri Bernal haha thanks! If I can do it one handed anyone can do it 😉😎
Tomorrow i start doing this again, now with a new cover as it started to leak again after 2 years!
+@pomatmarc dang, that didn’t last long!
do you need to recalibrate vanos after installing new vcg?
+@psjsmokes never heard of needing to. We didn’t.
Thanks for the video! When I loosened one of the middle 4 nuts, the stud came out with it. I couldn't get the stud to separate from the nut so I just put it back together as one unit. Do you think that will be ok?
+@robertliehr4366 should be ok 👍
So tell us. Did it leak afterwards? How long did you need it to sit before starting the engine assuming 1hr due to sealant you used needing to harden. A follow up to video would have been great. Did you check if the valve cover was warped and perhaps no matter how many vcg you replace the valve cover needed to be replaced.
+RoosterCountry Media no leaks afterwards! Yes, just waited for the suggested dry time and all was good.
Hi there! Great video! Question. How long it took you to change the Valve Cover Gasket? Thanks! I’m planning to do mine for preventive maintenance before an oil change and spark plugs replacement. Thank you.
+ragnarblackmane04 after watching this video you should be able to get it done in under 3 hours if you have the right tools.
@@HelpMeDIY thank you!
I snapped one of the threads that the bolts go on as I was torquing them, be careful of that.
+@jacksimpson6057 yikes! 😬
You disconnect the battery first before all this right ?
+@manny9025 you can, but I didn’t. There is no need to.
