The cabin air filter being clogged will not affect the readout of the ambient temperature sensor. The sensor is mounted outside the car and sends the signal direct to the computer. This has nothing to do with the filter. Please check your facts before giving advise that could lead someone to purchasing parts they don’t need.

Replace the cabin air filter and that might do the job for you . I think it can give a false temperature reading of blocked up

When you say when the temperature readout on the dash is not correct or holding in one place and not changing? Do you mean engine coolant temperature?
No. This is the sensor for the ambient air temperature.
