Dad and I were antique car nuts. One day while walking around NYC he told me to stop walking because there was a Duesenburg parked on the street and undoubtedly a chauffeur would lead an old money person to it. As he predicted a chauffeur appeared and led Brooke Astor to her car. I was always a Packard freak and have been fortunate enough to be involved in restoring two Packards. Dad was nuts for Stutz.
Cool Story! She was my favorite millionaire, unfortunately, her son was absolutely terrible to her. She had a saying about money. " Money is like manure, It should be spread around"
that Duesy also had 100 more cubic inches and a supercharger. for 322 cid naturally aspirated, the Stutz is not shabby in it's own right. also, compare $7,000 original price for the Stutz with $13,000 to $19,000 for the Duesenberg....
Chrysler offered hydraulic brakes right out of the gate Awesome car though and that's an understatement, and stutz is one of those brands getting lost to time..
