Joe Louis - Was an American professional boxer who competed from 1934 to 1951. Nicknamed "The Brown Bomber", Louis is widely regarded as one of the greatest and most influential boxers of all time. He reigned as the world Heavyweight champion from 1937 until his temporary retirement in 1949. He was victorious in 25 consecutive title defenses, a record for all weight classes. He has the longest single reign as champion of any boxer in history. Louis's cultural impact was felt well outside the ring. He is widely regarded as the first African-American to achieve the status of a nationwide hero within the United States and was also a focal point of anti-Nazi sentiment leading up to and during World War II because of his historic rematch with German boxer Max Schmeling in 1938. He retired with an incredible record of 66-3 (52 KO's).

Happy holidays everyone! This will probably be my last video of the year but I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who watches and enjoys my content, this channel has grown so much in the last 3 years - the ultimate goal has always been 100,000 subscribers so if we could reach that in 2021 then that would be a dream come true! Anyway I hope you all enjoy this new highlight of the legendary Joe Louis' jab and left hooks. www.patreon.com/haNZAgod

You ain’t no trainer here in the present day a 1/3 of the knowledge that Blackburn had. Joe Louis was his masterpiece, 25 title defenses 22 of them were KOs 12 years on top as heavyweight champion which rated number three on the masculinity scale for men behind a military general and the POTUS. He had very quick hands which came from his trainer the great Jack Blackburn who had Louis catch flies with his hands to improve his hand speed. @@jimnoexist Prime 4 Prime, I think Joe Louis would be bad news for Tyson Fury. Tyson Fury isn't anywhere near Ezzard Charles in terms of punch theory...and while his size will protect him from a lot of Louis's power - it's also going to keep him from evading one of the most relentless boxer-punchers the sport has ever seen. Louis could cut the ring and had vicious body attacks. He was also a master at making himself hard to reach (due to that bladed stance and extreme outside slip + parry)...which is gonna make Fury miss everything besides a flick jab.
