@@masonmiller9907 He's saying it with a Latin vowel, which is perfectly fine. Get over it, as English is mainly Latin and Greek. It's you who need to get your English corrected. Cope-ler is correct. You're wrong.
I have cpvc was scared of it but 20 yrs later no issue. I do use pex on any add ons. I also used a sharkbite 10 yrs ago on washer and was unsure no problem as of yet it is in basement so time will tell
I am trying to fix a cpvc pipe that is in an incredibly awkward spot that is hard to get to. Can a sharkbite be placed over the existed pipe that was previously glued? I know it should be cut back but I'm not sure if I can where it is located. Can it be cleaned or sanded to make the sharkbite work?
Sharkbites are very handy for tight spots, but the pipe prep must be perfect. I'm afraid you'll need to find a way to get that pipe cut back to fresh pipe. Best of luck!
That's very true, and if I didn't mention that, then I should have. A small hack saw, also called a Johnny saw, makes quick work of it if it's brittle.
I have 2 CPVC fittings at a shower-former exterior shower valve. They are broken off and flush with the wall. Can I heat up a galv. iron nipple and press into the CPVC to create some threads?
In California the State holds the fittings together. It creates great, low paying jobs for someone to stand (or sit) and hold the two sections together. They have formed a union, CA Pipe Sitters Union AFL-CIO. Man I hate California!
Cope-ler. Cope-ler! It's coupler! Cup-ler!🤣
😂😂 first thing I noticed tio

@@mikesmith9368 you mad 😂
Thank you so much! Exactly what I needed to know
Awesome. Handy, valuable info...and entertaining 😅 thanks!
Cutters, lol!!!!! Might as well be a nutcracker!!!! Good thing 30 year old Cpvc is so flexable!
@@FrostyBandito right? I really, really dislike CPVC...
@Teach2Build I bet you 50$ the guy that invented it, didn't have it in his house!
CPVC is brittle garbage. I've had 2 failures THIS YEAR alonge. The only thing you need to know is how to put a PEX-A adapter on the shit.
I like how you show how to install the different couplings but what if you cannot turn the pipe the way that you are freely turning and pushing them
You would just rotate the fitting as needed instead. Best of luck with your projects!

Okay thank you so much! Love your videos
cannot use those cutters on old brittle cvpc , will shatter the pipe

While we've prob all seen the Tik Tok videos using this process on PVC, I wouldn't trust it, myself. Sorry.

Hahahahahahaha!! Yeah, it's changed a lot since I escaped the state...
Big gap on the depth marks... interesting. About to do some shark bites....
