    Really like how you guys cover every aspect of your shooting, from chad's discussion of the handloading cards, to this vid on the range, along with your series on reloading (specifically the one on the hornady press) and milsurp rifles, this is really what makes your channel special and stands out from among the others. Love it!

    Most anywhere that carries bulk landscape supplies should have them as well. Do a search for mulch in your area and I'll bet you will find several that carry used RR ties.

    They have a short video of them putting in the long distance trap on his channel you would have to look for it a few pages back on thier videos.

    I have shot AR500 steel at ten yards with 9mm and .22 with no splatter coming back at me, with no damage to the steel, but that is as close as I want to be.

    What's the minimum engagement you guys have found for rifle/pistol on steel? Have you ever taken any jacket splatter?

    On the series videos, could you start putting a link to the previous episode of that series in the description? That would be easier than going back through all the videos. Thanks!

    Hey Eric, if you want a place to get armored plate like that for much cheap I can give you info of the place it comes from. It is where the target companies buy their steel.

  • @yellowbusguy
    @yellowbusguy 12 років тому +1

    A camera set up there at the rifle trap would be too cool to see and hear the rounds coming in to the plate from 400 meters away.

    I'm just jealous...wish I had the space to set all that up! guess I'll just have to keep shootin' 8" plates on hangin' from wallymart shepherds hooks...

    Thinking of your range, whatever happened to the range you were going to set up in the woods? I hope that's an idea that's not been dropped, looked like there'd be some real interesting vids from that.

    I have an 8" round 1/4" thick AR500 gong. I originally got it for pistol caliber and rimfire. While I don't want to abuse it, do you think it'd hold up to magnum handgun calibers from 50 yards?

    • @alcantrell5340

    I see a basic video was already made kind of. I know your range has some decent distances, far more than the average "back yard Bubba" on his 5 acres... I know there was plenty of thought put into your range design, and the average shooter would show the same concern, but if you take ten mins on a youtube search the backyard gun range has come under heavy scrutiny since 2020, particularly in Florida where a 14 year old was hit by a ricochet inside her own home... All the videos are basically the same as this one, cut, dry, and to the point. I know I have probably become annoying at this point so I will likely receed to the abyss from whence I came, but we both know the 2A is not limitless in application and every single accident becomes a hammer or chisel to chip away another piece. 99.9% of all accidents are caused by human error and are 100% preventable. I have reached the end of my little "responsible parties assume responsibility" speech. I truly hope yall have a wonderful day and that all you have remaining be as joyful and fulfilling as possible.
    Signed,
    Just Another Nobody
