Ok, this video is not a tech dive on specs nor a review about technology. This video is about the feeling proportioned by a specific product that is, by far, the most important thing that almost every manufacturer seemed to forgot over the last decades... Thank you mrmobile, for your different approach to the subject. Thank you for making me remember what was like in the 00's, to be excited not about ram and storage, but experience and innovation!
Finally you got your hands on this innovative trifold beast. It may has a lot of shortcomings, but HUAWEI's willingness to take the step is really really commendable 👏
One of life's great mysteries... Is why this channel doesn't have 10-20 Million subscribers, considering how much dedication you put into scripting these videos so poetically. Wishing you nothing but the best Michael! Also, because of what you spoke of towards the end, I'm sending you a hug, it should arrive to you between 7-10 business days. :)
I just love Mr.Mobile reviews.. techy, amazing, poetic and thoughtful. With a hint of nostalgia that is evident in every single video, directly or not, and with vocabs that makes every single one of them carved into a masterpiece. Maybe not everyone appreciates the masterpieces given by him, but I do.. so damn much
What an amazing video!! I was expecting a tech review but instead got taken on a journey. Such clever use of the clips at the end... and nice photos!! Well done Mr M.
I've been rocking the four pocket laptop ever since you made that video, first with the z fold 3 itself, now with the pixel fold. Ever since then I've never brought my laptop with me on trips, and I really don't miss it. I've optimized it to two pockets by having a kickstand on the phone, and by getting a Bluetooth keyboard with an integrated trackpad. I still keep the Bluetooth mouse in my backpack in case I want it, but being able to get away with two pockets (One which carries a phone anyway) has been a game changer. Thank you for helping me stay mobile!
I have been watching you and your channel grow for years I just wanted to say that I appreciate it so very much you sharing the personal aspect of your journey. what i find about huawei foldables is that even if they arent the best, they're the ones that continue to feel the most modern even after depreciated. i picked up a mate Xs2 the other day, and honestly, it feels more modern than the pixel 9 pro fold, its not perfect, sure, and its infinitely more fragile, but ti *feels* more futuristic. the Huawei Mate X2 with its wedge shape? same thing, and im sure its the same with this. i said from the time i stopped reviewing phones and I'll continue saying it, the mobile space stagnated and came to a crawl when huawei was banned from the west, and shit like this only cement that fact to me

Needs to be a psychological study done on people that waited until 2024 to watch The Sopranos. Lol. Thanks as always for the excellent content Mr mobile
Honestly even in the face of a tri-fold like this, I've felt more of an itch for a different kind of quirky form factor different from today's common slabs. Specifically, I've been loving the idea of an old-style flip phone, complete with a physical keypad for T9 typing...while still having a touch screen and running Android. And I think I've left comments like that on, uh, a few of your recent videos. So I guess what I'll say is the reason I bring it up again (aside from maybe trying to inception it into people's minds so there's enough demand for it to become more of a thing) is that I've realized lately that, even though it wouldn't quite scratch the itch the same way, the nearest thing that's actually readily available today to what I'm looking for might just be the Moto Razr. Keeping it folded and just using the outer screen for as much as I can and just opening it if I really need the extra real estate or for an app that doesn't play well with the smaller screen. So we'll see, maybe I'll surprise myself and my next phone will be a foldable yet.
IF THE RIDICULOUS BAN on Huawei (and others) was reversed, one GREAT thing that us consumers would see is... FAR MORE INNOVATION from the likes of Samsung & Apple.... But, as it is, ITERATION NOT INNOVATION WITH INCREASED PRICES is the norm... 🤨🤨🤨 😎🇬🇧
Man, this is the most literature version of a Mr Mobile video I have ever watched. I also hope this form factor can live on and not just die with the Ultimate.
This will be so good in 5 years if it grows more than a novelty. Regular folding phones also started around 5 years ago and already matured enough to be as reliable as other non foldables. And for these tri fold designs we already have the groundwork covered, just need to iterate on it.

very interesting phone, it may be my next purchase after my Razr 40 Ultra gives out (hopefully it will be in a long time, and hopefully earlier than that we'll see these tri-folds in europe). Altho something i like a lot from the Razr is the "tripod mode" that i can more or less use without worry , because the bottom is quite grippy. i'd be more worried of using it in this phone both bc of scratching concerns, and also slipping concerns. I do much prefer the landscape orientation for recording so that'd be a big plus

Love the narrative, imagery and story telling, but I am left confused: is this phone a keeper? Disregarding price, would you daily drive it over your Samsung Z phone?
The perfect time to review an electric rickshaw. Using it as a desktop is the only practical thing I see for a folding screen and because it's so big it's easier to watch a video with someone. It seems the best road to take for an android phone maker is the flip or the trifold. If apple got into the game they wouldn't have to make a trifold. Apple could make lots of money from the flip but the real cash cow would be the fold since people don't upgrade their ipads

Hoping that this doesn't sound too pretentious, but this wasn't just a phone review; this was ART. We only got like two specs about the phone because the philosophy of it was so captivating.
