Lp is incredible, I d love to learn the drums one day because of him, it s hard and needs lots of work but who knows , it s in my bucket list to learn the basic, he s my favorite and Jared from the band unlocking the truth
Grew up watching his dad play with Max Roach. The Max Roach. LP got me into drumming. Funnily enough, because everyone in high school said I looked like the drummer from Yellowcard. I'd never seen anyone do something so well. I was inspired.
When I bought Ocean Avenue when it debuted, I was impressed by the sound. Then I watched the Pepsi Smash videos of Yellowcard on here and was blown away. Longineu Parsons is one of (if not the best) drummers ever. Maybe Chad Sexton is better... (311 for those who don't know).
Why is fans always arguing about who's the best drummer etc? Both are good at playing drums, and both drummers playing style fit with their bands music so what are you guys arguing about? Both bands make good music and both drummers are good in the band, so stop fighting and listen to the fucking music.
hey, excuse my interruption but anyone skilled at their field (I suppose he was one of the top in global scale) can teach and just by listening to yellowcard music, someone I know became fluent at playing "Breathing" and "Way Away" with only 2 monthes experience in learning drum. So why would it be so impossible?
actually he does now how to use double pedal, as he plays all forms of music, from metal, to rock, hip hop and pop. it's not all about double pedal, John Bonham didn't use one, did he suck? no
this dvd sucks. he demonstrates a lot of great grooves, but provides VERY little insight at what he's doing. i'm not expecting stickings for everything or even anything, but he doesn't even give any ideas. basically, he tells u what genre of groove he's gonna play, then he plays it then it goes on to the next and then the next and so on... i was only able to pick things up because i have a little experience under my belt. this along with very poor filiming, organization, and editing.
The people that say "blah..travis barker this..." probably don't know shit about drums, or real drummers like john blackwell, matt greiner, adam grey, neil pert, etc.
I agree with you to the point that Travis Barker is seriously over rated. But I still think he's a talented drummer. LP's still my favorite though. Haha

deserves so much more recognition than he gets

PURE rythem and skill. LP is incredible.
Wow he's been one of my biggest influences from "Ocean Avenue" and i haven't looked up any of his stuff forever. Never ceases to amaze me.
DEFINITION OF SKILLS AND TECHNIQUE!!!!!
this is why hes one of my favourite drummers
The beat he starts at 2:45 is tight!!! I'd like to here that is some Yellowcard!
LP is probably the best drummer I have ever heard. I wish I could take lessons from him.
He's the only reason why Yellowcard is kinda punk rock music .. looking forward hearin more from LP!
@usmuterfer So happy that someone knows what they are talking about.
As a drummer myself, i think TB and LP are both amazing drummers!
Both LP AND Travis are awesome.
So this is Adam Lambert's new drummer. I'm impressed.
best drummer alive
last i checked it was DW drums, VIc Firht sticks, Zildijian cymbals, DW pedal and Evans heads
LP is #2 on my top 10 drummers

he uses zildjian cymbals, I think the drum are pdp and the drumheads are remo I think.

LP can be a sick double bass drummer

i wonder who is lp drum teacher
if i tried that i think i'd break my leg

i cant cross my arms over like him without hitting myself
Travis Barker can't even begin to dissect this shit. LP is the man!
....I don't like admitting it but..... I think your probably right.
How old was he at the time of this recording?
Where is this dvd?
hmmm lets put it this way...........THAT IS WHY HE'S FAMOUS! HOLY CRAP! hahaha
@Fattydrums910 i see that now lolo
Travis is great, don't get me wrong, he really is awesome. But he really doesn't have anything on Longinue.
Awesome!!!! It's much better if you play metal LP..
Gwyn Murugaiyah I think he was perfect for Yellowcard...
@Fattydrums910 i swear he uses evans
man he is sick nasty
who posted this?
@carsguitars009 Like what?
wat bass head is tht???
I bet he's an octopus.. How can he drum like that with not having eight limbs? LOL :D
LP (Y)

it's not all about double pedal, John Bonham didn't use one, did he suck?
no
my god he is amazng... i just wish that he didnt leave yellowcard and join another band
at lp3online
Sounds great. Good kick and only one pedal. To a certain extent Yellowcard limits his chops. He should be playing with another band.
are you sure this is an instructional video? O_o
I like him better than Joey Jordison! :)
Travis Barker has only just got Legend status with Neighborhoods. LP on the other hand has been Legend since Ocean Avenue.
@usmuterfer Travis Barker is good, I think you mean to say he isnt god...
this dvd sucks. he demonstrates a lot of great grooves, but provides VERY little insight at what he's doing. i'm not expecting stickings for everything or even anything, but he doesn't even give any ideas. basically, he tells u what genre of groove he's gonna play, then he plays it then it goes on to the next and then the next and so on... i was only able to pick things up because i have a little experience under my belt.

Where's the instruction??? lol
The people that say "blah..travis barker this..." probably don't know shit about drums, or real drummers like john blackwell, matt greiner, adam grey, neil pert, etc.
LP's too good for pop-punk.
in the instructional DVD's they play shit like this for a while than they go on after to explain how they break it down and stuff
yup travis swings his arms around too much to do the sweet little fills LP does
ahh yes, very instructional.......
LP > Barker. Period.
I agree with you to the point that Travis Barker is seriously over rated. But I still think he's a talented drummer. LP's still my favorite though. Haha
League of Legends?
He's a beast. Travis Orbin is better.
Deserves better then Yellowcard..
I bet Travis Barker can't do half of what LP just did. YEA THATS RIGHT I SAID IT
this guy is not even trying lol ..in the begining
NO.
