This was a brilliant show! You were able to call out all of the ridiculousness in what short time you had and expose the hypocrisy for what it is. You did a great job placing a mirror in front of society for it to see its reflection and are more valuable in today's written history than many may ever know! Keep it up!
I had to google "cathartic" but I think you nailed it. I've also felt the loneliness but don't be discouraged my friend. This moment in history if any , has been a time of self discovery and awakening. While most people are still asleep, there are many of us who have opened up and realized what is going on. There have been many times I felt alone in my thoughts being surrounded by so many people who never questioned any of this and saw me as a threat... Personally I do not find him funny, his jokes are all making obnoxious noises and contorts his face. I have read through the comments and many people are comparing him to Carlin. He didn't need to act like a fool on stage because his jokes have substance. I would guess that 70% if the run time is him yelling and acting a fool

I find with great comedians, it comes out of them almost effortlessly like with any masterful artist. I'd hardly say what you described is a "rarity" though...the best comedians almost always are going against the grain and say things contrary to the "normal" conversation. More examples than I can count.

I Watched this the very day it was released and now, probably the 6 or 7th time since, I really think this is one of the best specials in modern history. His other recent special "Silly in San Diego" is a masterclass in social commentary also. These hit me very much in the same way George Carlins great masterpieces did decades ago.

Why just the other day I told my father that I don’t really like comedians that much. I stopped laughing a few years ago when my son was killed in a car accident. July 21, 2018. Personally I do not find him funny, his jokes are all making obnoxious noises and contorts his face. I have read through the comments and many people are comparing him to Carlin. I find with great comedians, it comes out of them almost effortlessly like with any masterful artist. I'd hardly say what you described is a "rarity" though...the best comedians almost always are going against the grain and say things contrary to the "normal" conversation. More examples than I can count.

This is the first time I've seen Jim Breurer's stand up and I think it's both hilarious and on point. The man is a creative genius.
If he was a comedy genius, why is he in his 50s and still hasn't hit it big? He's only known for playing second banana to Dave Chappelle in a stoner comedy from like 30 years ago.

I held my mother as she passed not long ago Jim, your correct, it’s the most important thing in this life you can experience. Even though it’s hard, knowing that person isn’t suffering and that you were there with them when they passed means EVERYTHING.

You are not alone by a long shot, I know many people that knew it was BS, I know many people that thought it was real because they never turned off the TV or used their inner voice and or any discernment. They became unreachable and eventually dropped off the friend map. Nothing to say or do about. I Watched this the very day it was released and now, probably the 6 or 7th time since, I really think this is one of the best specials in modern history. His other recent special "Silly in San Diego" is a masterclass in social commentary also. These hit me very much in the same way George Carlins great masterpieces did decades ago.
Did you just compare this guy to George Carlin??? Carlin was the best at bringing up issues in a hilarious way that also made you think, where this guy might be a hit at kids shows but definitely doesn't work for adult audiences.

This was cathartic and hilarious. It was all funny but the ability to laugh at the ridiculously hypocritical parts of the "narrative" was really special. Jim is doing the Lord's work here. BRAVO!
