If you don't mind , about how time consuming is their care daily , for both. I can't decide which to get and I'm leaning towards both , and I might as well throw in a Leopard Gecko as well. I just want to make sure that I can make time for everyone . I already have two Rottweilers and an Alligator Snapping Turtle.

$300?...omg...my dream of a skink anytime soon is gone..I've been wanting one since I went to a reptile show when I was 13..saw it and fell in love.. Question: How well do you think a skink would do with cats as siblings? I have 6 cats..
Hah nice accent! Texas maybe? I'm in East Tennessee. Thinking about getting my first lizard, probably between these two. I think the bearded dragon might be the better first choice. Thanks.
Excellent video, Elle! I actually love both of these animals and have been having an internal debate about the two for quite some time. I don't have either one, but I have had my eye on both for a while.
ThePerson1357 Looking back I really didn’t make my comment clear. I mean she should do a Blue Tongue Cost video. Like she did with her Leopard gecko and Beared dragon.
I just can't deal with roaches , that's the only thing that I'm "scared" of. They give me the willies so bad. I'd rather have a Black Mamba in my house than a roach. Do bearded dragons and blue tongued skinks have to have them ?
Elle's Reptiles no problem, I should be thanking you honestly because It was this video that made me make the decision whether I wanted a blue tongue or not... well let’s just say I’ll have a blue tongue by next week lol. Thank you for your video and I hope you have a wonderful day.
So i did a lot of research between the two and their pretty much even in care and cage and all of that. the different is its a bit harder to feed bearded dragons because they need bugs for proteins and all of that while you can buy and egg easily for a lot less as well from your local store for blue tongues. So you might say o blue tongues are easier and yes they are a ton harder to tame to holding etc while bearded dragons are just coach potato gods. Really its the lights and bugs etc for bearded dragons but if you dont mind that and want a pet to hold and wont bite etc and is nice and simple for holding the bearded dragon is your lizard. If you want a simple and more show in tell kind of reptile then the blue tongue is your kind of pet. Yes i know maybe there is some like bearded dragons that lay on you for hours on end but the chances of that and the work it takes i feel isn't worth the effort in my option but if you want to work at it etc then go for it. I actually have both and i mostly hold my beardie more than the blue tongue. i do hold my blue tongue but he doesn't love it that much as the bearded and might claw at me a bit. They both have pros and cons so its really what you want as a pet. if you want to work with the blue tongue with holding than the beardie than thats your choice. I just feel like the beardie is a lot more rewording then the blue tongue. if you dont mind having like three kind of light and all of that and the bugs etc than the beardie is your one. I LOVE both of them and their both awesome to keep and very rewording for both but if you want to hold it etc and have a lot of fun with a reptile etc and want it easy with it than go for the beardie. If you want to work at the blue tongue thats your choice. Just saying it will take a lot of effort and determination and not giving up to tame the blue tongue. And its rewording if you do i just hate that it takes a long time to tame a blue tongue than a beardie. It took around 13 to 14 months until my blue tongue was able to be handed to anyone peacefully but have it cuddle with you took about 16 months.
Hello, sorry that won’t be possible. They come from two very different climates. Bearded dragons need it much hotter and arid than a blue tongue which comes from a rainforest climate. Hope this helped!
Because of supply and demand. If people are always buying those animals, they're going to keep buying them from mill breeders. If people stopped buying them, the chain store would start losing money, and stop buying from mill breeders.
This an awesome video and I'm currently in debate for my fest reptile and really stuck between the Bearded Dragon and the Pink Tongue Skink, basically a thin BTS that climbs even better than a bearded. I think the dragons look so much cooler with their spikes, and I love their friendly attitude plus ability to be potty trained. However Skinks seem more intelligent, which leads to more unique personalities, at least it would seem. Dog food is also hell of a lot easier than a bunch of different breeds of worms. How would you describe the differences in personality?
