As a french Guy and an air France enjoyer this warms my heart, french People usually talks trash about Air France (thats just the way we are lol) and I am very happy to see that you recognize Air France as a top tier airline !
Honestly, I think that's why I appreciate my flights on AF even more. I know they deserve some of it, but they get sh** on a LOT, but I think they are serving up some pretty great products. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
The best food I ever had on any airline was Air France, Affaires, back about 10 years ago. Only Emirates business is close to it in quality. But the A220, if every airline could dump commuter jets and replace them with A220s, my flying life would be so much better. Thanks for the review. I would not have picked AF to use as a connecting airline in Europe, but you have changed my mind.
My business class flight from LHR to CDG was good but nothing special but of course it’s a very short distance. However the long haul CDG to GUR is 11 hours and it was overall the best business class experience I’ve yet encountered. On the back of that I’ll be using them again on my next long haul.
I’m really looking forward to trying them out long haul some day. I’ve always gotten the impression that people like to crap on Air France just because it was in ‘style’ at the time. Not too many have realized how much they’ve improved their products over the past 5 or so years though. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
It’s not a dig, it’s setting an expectation. If you own a sandwich shop and you make all of your bread in house, surely you’re going to put that fact on your menu. Then every guest can better appreciate the care and quality put into their sandwich and understand that not every slice is going to be the same and/or perfect. It is not a dig against any single other restaurant, just an acknowledgement that the vast majority of them don’t make their own bread.
Another one of those reviews that makes me feel I should fly Business in Europe far more often than I do. I would have been happy with this - and in awe of seeing an FA risk life and limb to stow a bag in the overhead. Looking forward to that 'flight from Hell'. P.S. You win a prize for being the first reviewer ever to mention loo-stall-door-opening-direction-compatibility-with-luggage.
It’s certainly a bit different from Vueling haha. I am very curious now to get on a long haul AF flight though because all I see is bitching and moaning reviews about it and after these past two flights, kinda hard to believe either I got that lucky or there’s that much of a difference. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻

As a Canadian, I am so very proud of what this aircraft represents and people recognize it came out of this country. I have to admit I was a bit of an av geek (for Boeing) but this aircraft is fantastic. Funnily enough my first flight was from Sarajevo to Zurich on Swiss. This was followed by an Ethiopian A350. It was no comparison. I now choose airlines carefully, but cramped Boeings are not fun. if I can take an Airbus jet - particularly the A220, I will.
Similar for me. For decades I’d been a Boeing fanboy… until I actually had to start flying a lot haha. At literally every level, the comparable Airbus aircraft is always more comfortable and generally designed as more pax friendly aircraft in general. I avoid 737s completely unless it’s my only option and will always choose an A380/A350/A330 over a 777/787/767. My only soft spots are for 747s because of the history and 77Ws for the spool ups haha. Y’all should be proud of the C-Series. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
@@tfft Can you please say more about comfort as it relates to the aircraft type. I was thinking it would relate more to seat designs. Thanks for your videos. I’m new to your channel but already hooked.
Here is your 'UN-sponsored' review - bahahahaha. 2 thumbs up! The A220 fits a slot that has a decent cost to seat ratio - and from my POV the 2 - 3 seat arrangement is a good add back to SINGLE AISLE inventory. The MD 88/90 had that market and Embraer could just not get it to work for small frames. Nice to see multi plate meal service and attention to detail that is SORELY missed with the big 3 carriers in the US - we seem to use the CATTLE CARRIER method here. Keep the interesting and honest review coming!
Given how euro business class is essentially the same hard product with economy class, the lounge is going to be the big differentiator. And it is in the lounge where you are going to extract the most value for your euro business class fare.
I'm inclined to say yes, but there are around 400 different definition of "a standard carry-on" out there so I'd check on Air France's website for exact dimensions that they allow. Thanks for watching 🩴
Hi i am travelling from vistara flight in jan that is now air india , from cdg to delhi , Will it be a vistara experience or like air india one ? also whats the price for wifi in plane for emirates economy dubai to paris ?
On A220s the seating is 2-3. In Euro Business Class the adjacent seat is always blocked, so on the 2 seat side (pair), if you’re able to reserve the A seat you’ll have the pair all to yourself. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
@The Flip Flop Traveller Hi thanks for the info, but surely the Airlines charge for that reserved seat?? Is the ""A"" seat the one next to the window ? Many thanks
Oh la la, what a positive and upbeat video! Very nice review thank you, but you already have me on tenterhooks for your next video…as you lovingly call it “your flight from hell….!” 🙈🤣
I really enjoy healthy tasty cold food on hot summers day, they looked fantastic. Presumably hot beef bourg in winter etc. BA flight crew take note also. I am still working backwards through your videos, not sure if you have done it but the La Premiere 777 from Paris to SIngapore looks fantastic. With the lights and curtains and the food it is like being on a flying Orient Express. In regards to the Airbus A220, it seems that Airbus was more far sighted than Boeing buying it. Boeing went from legal action over that to trying to buy Embraer and then ran away from that deal so screwing them. The Boeing management were too focused on paying money to shareholders ( which they aklso owned ) and their own high salaries whilst making bad strategy decisions and paying lipservice to quality control in the production environment just trying to get planes out the door ASAP. Ironically Airbus share price has done a lot better for the shareholders. Their one mistake might not be re-engining ( is that a word ? ) the A380 and still selling them. That would have put more pressure on 777-x. I know twin jets are the rage, but passenger numbers are now climbing again. We will never know. All the best. Off to lick my plate now also, as nobody is looking, not even the dog.....
“And yes, I admit that cold entreés are a bit strange…” this is funny, because the eat of the world finds it strange that Americans use the French word for ‘starter’ to describe the main meal. 🤣
I flew with Air France in 2018. I arrived at the airport at 9 am, got on the line for luggage check in and it took 3 hours to get through the line. We almost missed our flight at 12:30 pm. It was really terrible. The staff were standing there talking and didn't bother to work fast to help us got through the line quickly. Air France was so F..k up. Never again, I flight with Air France.
