More Project Brutality enemy variant knowledge! The Robo Hell Knight is called the Cyber Hell Knight. The later variant (with the shield and the head of a lion) is called the Cyber Paladin. The acid Mancubus is called the Daedabus. The later variant which fires the red fireballs with faces in them is called the Volcabus. The red Pinkies are called Blood Pinkies. They attack twice as fast as normal Pinkies. The ones with machanized legs are called Mecha Pinkies. They just have more HP than standard Pinkies. The Revenant variant that fires a laser beam is simply called the Beam Revenant. The later variant that fires... Meteorites I guess, is called a Draugr The Arachnotrons that fire the super fast red bolts are called Inferno Arachnotrons. The ones that fly are called Arachnophytes. The highest variant that look kinda alienish and fire purple bolts are called Arachnoknights The upgraded Cacodemons that look like small Pain Elementals are called Inferno Cacodemons. The smol cacos they sometimes spawn upon death are called Watchers.
Area cleared and you came out with a new powerful Plasma Gun too! The Plasma M2's secondary fire, Plasma Vent, can set fire to things, even corpses,so be careful with it! I managed to pull some enemy data as well, here's what I got for you,Captain: The orange Caco is called the Inferno, it replaces lighting attacks with bigger but slower fire attacks! It can also spawn a mini Caco (willingly or on death) called a Watcher. The green Lost Souls are called Phantasms. Quicker and more annoying then the Losts, yeesh. The Cyber Macubus is actually called Daedabus. DO NOT GET CORNERED BY THIS GUY, his poison launchers are FATAL. (will also poison you on hit!) The Hellknight was a Cyber Hellknight! Its equipped with a nail gun, freezegun and missile launcher! Oh Captain,if you ever managed to get one to low health and go in for a glory strike, you'll reprogram it to your side for the rest of the level! Onwards to Storage Area! What did we store here again?? Erm..I'm drawing a complete blank here. Lt Zero, over and out.
BMD, I just remembered something. You can in the Project Brutality options turn certain enemy and weapon variants on or off. That would show you what your version of PB considers the enemy names to be. You can also shut certain enemy abilities off so that zombies can't roll or use grenades or so imps can't climb walls. 4:07 Your rocket did come back to you, which is something that can happen if you use the laser guide. I don't know what caused it though. The engine would have to have considered the laser to be pointed back at you. In my version which replaces the partial invisibility spheres with captured friendly marines, if you shine the laser on them and shoot a rocket the engine apparently considers the other marine to be you and the rocket 180s right back in your face. New enemies in this level: Phantasm: Has the same model with the lost soul but with green flames. Extremely relentless. Explodes on death, making it more dangerous in close combat. Created by Suffering Elementals. [I would just call this a pain-in-the-assoul. By far the most annoying enemy in the game. As if vanilla lost souls weren't annoying enough.] Blood Demon: Has large horns and is dark-reddish in color. Way more aggressive, it runs and bites much faster. Also has slightly more HP than original Pinky. Inferno Cacodemon: A magma-like version of cacodemon. It shoots a fireball rather than a lightning ball. The fireball is slower, but bigger and thus harder to evade in tight quarters. Rarely, Inferno Cacodemon will summon Watchers (small critters that resemble fledgling Cacodemons and fire fast, purple energy pulses). Watchers can also spawn on occasion after their "parent's" death (much like how a pain elemental leaves some lost souls in the wake of its demise). Suffering Elemental: Has the same body as pain elemental, but with green eyes and mouth. Summons Phantasms instead of Lost Souls. Daedabus: A green-skinned mancubus that fires toxic projectiles. Can inflict poison-like afterdamage upon the player. Has only one eye like Doom (2016) mancubus. Inferno Arachnotron: An arachnotron that shoots Inferno bolts. These strike both faster and harder than ordinary plasma projectiles, turning this arachnotron variant into a competent sniper. There may have been a "beam revenant" in there somewhere too; I'm not sure. All revenants use a laser sight before firing, but beam revenants shoot an actual laser beam rather than a rocket. It's faster, so it's a lot harder to dodge.
The enemy at the start of this level can throw deadly projectiles and also has a Freeze Rifle, same with the one Project Brutality offers. Also, the Mancubus (which is called "Deadabus") uses Toxic (the Alternative Mode of Flamethrower). The Black Demon (called "Void Demon" is extremely dangerous and agile).
The Suffering Elemental are the green mean potatoes that spits phantasms, they are the most annoying ones. At least if you have berserk, catching lost souls even the green ones for glory kills are always satisfying. EDIT: Before Staging, the grab skill still exists in the game, but now, you can only grab barrels and able to throw them with only the Berserk Pack.
Alright you doing pretty good here. Though I didn't really care about this map, but at least you doing a fine job for map 10. 😀 4:06 I have no clue how that works with a Rocket hitting the ceiling and bounced right back at you out of nowhere. 😕That's just wrong. Well, those monsters are gonna be no pushovers that for sure. Time for me to do some more Pistol Start TNT doom.
Nice video, looks like a fun map! This music track also gives me vague _Heretic_ vibes. 6:22, here's the lyrics for "Void Spectre" by _Stone Savages_ : "..." Kinda similar to their previous "Echoes & Dust", if you ask me. Fun fact, apparently there actually is _at least_ one band out there called "Void Spectre". Come to think of it, it's a little strange that they're called "void" spectres - I'm assuming they're named after their "origin", because technically speaking even we are about 99.99% empty space filled with electric and EM interactions. They're not void, _we_ are void!
I just noticed, that those Stone Savages (aka "Stone Imps") looks exactly like the alien creatures seen from the 2022 Neil Marshall horror movie titled "The Lair"
Huh, I see it now that you mentioned it. The head and color pattern always kinda reminded me of the Hell Knight from Doom 3, sort of like a "little cousin".
3:13 That tactic works with the vanilla chaingun too. 100% accuracy as fast as you can tap your fire key. 4:38 That's Shrek! 5:40 I prefer flesh *vial* 😜
The Red Demon (Pinky) could be nicknamed *Ranga*, a term initially used for redheads. Although once considered derogatory, it appears to have shed its negative connotations as redheads have embraced the term themselves.
