It would be sad to see Clyde go down even though they've been crap for years. Three times cup winners, three times beaten finalists, three times third in the league. That's a much better record than any of the teams who have gone up til now.
A great watch .... and as a 3rd generation Clyde fan its brilliant to see your passion for the Bully Wee and others at this level .... we might not "Qualify" for europe again as we did in 67 or win the cup again as we did in 39,55,58 but we will get out this hole. Cheers again.
we didnt qualify for europe in '67'. we came third in the league but were not allowed to compete in the Fair Cities Cup. Because we were officially a Rutherglen team. Outside Glasgow city boundary. So we didnt qualify. Celtic and Rangers made the final of their European tournaments. I wonder what Clyde would have done?
@@kenmurray1600 Wrong ...... we qualified but were denied entry because were deemed to be a Glasgow club and NOT a Rutherglen club and 2 teams from the same city were not allowed to compete .... we did however play in Europe in 1960 and won both games home and away to Lens.."!!
In a perfect world Clyde should be playing back in Rutherglen where I, as a young boy in the 70s, remember watching them in front of good crowds at Shawfield Stadium. That stadium could be redeveloped if someone with money invested. Get them back to Rutherglen !
How much of the support comes from It's traditional roots these days? Have they picked up any fans from their time in Cumbernauld, other exiled Clyde fans who were already there?
Stumbled across your channel about a month ago and wanted to say thank you for putting out such great content. As an American its awesome to see the culture of these clubs and what they mean to their local communities. If you ever want to visit the states and take in an FC Cincinnati game just lmk. Cheers bro and a huge Merry Christmas!!
Cheers for another year of excellent videos - the only channel on UA-cam that has a Lancashire Rugby League fan googling the name of obscure Scottish/Irish villages.
As you say Clyde finished 3rd in 1967 but didn't qualify for Europe the following season they would have been in the inter cities fairs cup but there was a rule at the time one club from the same city was allowed
After that result for Clyde I can’t see Forfar coming back now, would take some miracle tbh, also Forfar won’t necessarily go into the HL, they could into the LL, the border situation is gone now from what I’ve heard
Surely can’t be signing Forfar to relegation already, game in hand still. it’s not just just Clyde in the fight Stranraer to possibly Bonnyrigg if all teams pick up wins
Hi Sam, With your touring the divisions and time on the Warm Up you've built up a pretty enviable contact list. I'd love to see a mini-series where you take some of these new pals to lower league football. Get Ian Crocker to Tranent. Sutton to Dundee Violet. Boydy to Strathspey Thistle.
Kit clash, difficult to see who was who. Shouldn't be direct relegation at this level. At least a play off, bottom team vs top team in Highland League.
Great video as per Sam. You should go watch Bordeaux. Fans are some of the best I've ever seen and they're currently non league. With Andy Carroll scoring almost every game. Allez Bordeaux
For the 50th time on Sams excellent videos, will the idiots who run Scottish football change this pathetic pyramid league structure!(and make it snappy). Change it to:- 18-18-18 etc minimum per league,so they can invest and develop youngsters without the FEAR of relegation and bankruptcy!
No one wants Clyde to stay up because they signed david goodwillie (Google him if you aren’t aware of his name) in past and this is how they lost their previous stadium. i think Forfar will end up staying up. Stranraer will be okay this season. Time for Clyde to play Brechin city or East Kilbride in end of season will be fascinating. Clyde should play at new Lesser hampden stadium so they be nearer river Clyde. Would this be nearest stadium to river Clyde? Happy holidays. Thank you for all your Scottish videos this year. Will be interesting to see which players leave Clyde fc for money in January. Sam’s team Liverpool won today, Leicester and West Ham Away in Olympic stadium next for them. :)
Thanks for covering Clyde in their difficult situation. Sorry I wasn't there yesterday to say hello. Been ages
Where would football fans be without your channel? And I'm not even Scottish. Just a great watch.
I am a Killie fan and been to see Clyde play a few times last season. They have a good support and follow their team well.
I agree, It should at least be a straight 2 up 2 down throughout the divisions. Making each division larger would be a great help as well.

Love these “off the beaten path” videos that really capture the grass roots of the game. Great job.

Kudos for Hamilton hosting a match and helping out. All clubs should be helpful to other clubs and their supporters.
Real football. Real fans. I really enjoyed this.
Thanks for covering this Sam, it makes all the difference exposing the lower leagues. Cmon the bully.

Ridiculous situation. Come on Scotland, change the rules. Should always be automatic promotion.

A friend of mine would have had a pretty decent afternoon as he's joint shirt sponsor for Martyn Rennie.
Clyde needs a own stadium.
Sunday night entertainment sorted

Another great video. Thank you for all the vids throughout the year
Oh No - they long for the days when James Alexander Gordon would say "Forfar FOUR"
