Watching this I realized that even though Fran dreams and schemes about being rich, her plans almost always fail. She doesn't steal from Max, she hears about a celebrity visiting and embarasses herself trying to meet them. Once she realizes that Maxwell might be in trouble she drops all pretense and runs to help him. She even jokes about how things didn’t go her way. Even before they were dating, Fran let Max know she was interested but never pushed him. They both dated other people, and eventually it was Maxwell who initiated the relationship.

The fact the ring used was only a can ring is so extremely humbling! Fran whose all about fashion does not matter. It maybe worth 1 cent to but to Fran Fine? It’s utterly priceless. It’s not the size of the Diamond but the worth of the promise that means everything.
You should've added the next segment where some flashbacks of them kissing are shown during all the seasons and it ends with Fran saying "I will marry". This scene always tears me up.

It’s absent from the video, but something that clicked with me from watching this episode for the 20th time around (particularly the scene where Max is having a prayer-conversation with his wife) was that the reason Maxwell took so long to let the relationship with Fran grow was not because he was “British” or “afraid of commitment.” It was because he was still grieving the death of his wife and was trying to make peace with her departure. And, in a way, I think Fran also helped him travel through his grievance at a much quicker pace than he otherwise would have. Still, it took a bloody long time 🤣
