Can you please upload the fight between Louis and Lestat?

That "the Love of my life" line felt like it was delivered with the same energy if it were being said by a battered wife.
Louis is 100% a battered wife. There are lines in the original book that I have heard victims of DV say.
I agree. Armand was worse than Lestat. Daniel is going to flip out on Louis again. But Armand is already taking control of Daniel’s life, lavishing him with fancy food and taking care of his medical needs. Did no one make an undead therapist for all these boys?

@@felipelimacavalcante5336 not sure this is your question, but in the book the very old vampires can walk in the sun (even without drinking akasha's blood), but they usually need to be over a millenium. Louis may have a hard time verbally saying his love but you can tell he loves Lestat based on his actions. He saved Lestat and like Daniel says he chose Lestat over everyone time and time again. He literally put his hands on Claudia who he adores to stop her from killing Lestat (Also poor Claudia now both of her family members have choked her 😭). Louis and Lestat are fucked up soulmates.
Yes truly toxic

Toxic and destructive and negative for everyone else but soulmate none the less

@@anthonykrutis490 it's called creative freedom. Nothing they did really took to much from the original story.
I adore this scene. The culmination of Louis' whole character arc throughout the season because it truly lays bare how Louis never changed, let alone got better. "I have a cooler, stronger, older husband-daddy this time, and he's fixed me." He rejects so many opportunities to stand up for something and improve his unlife. Despite all the hardships he's faced, despite the grief and self repression he's suffered as a gay black man in a racist, homophobic world, he's still a resentful rich boy who only self-reflects under duress that affects him personally and will lash out about it if he can.
He's guilty and uncomfortable about the idea of his loved ones being literal serial killers but at no point does he take any kind of stand or ultimatum about it. Before he was a Vampire he was already a vampire: a slumlord pimp and enabler of addictive vices, whose wealth came from *sugarcane plantations* and he never tried to find a better way for himself then.
Louis is a complex, tragic, terrible person, and he's fascinating. Jacob Anderson should have won an award for this performance.
This is one of the best character analysis I’ve ever read.
Claudia did all that lamenting about Louis being in the gilded cage but he put himself in a cage time and time again. And yes, I rolled my eyes when he said Armand is the love of my life. I don’t even have to read the books to know that’s some BS.😂.
Louis, you mean Armand is the pole that you’re riding this century. Let’s be real Louis.🙄

Listen. Daniel's face screamed "Bitch, please" when Louis said Armand was the love of his life.
Louis has major PTSD and it looks like his memories may have been altered. Was anyone else creeped out how Armand grabbed Louis hand and floating above him? Another red flag is the fact the books are so high up and Louis likes to read but can't fly. Louis also looked like he forced smile after calling Armand which is sad.

Daniel figuring everything out was so incredible! What a strong ending, and the reveal of Armand! Louis & Lestat have someone terribly painful things to one another, but they’re soulmates. I don’t think either of them has it in them to kill the other for good. It’s such a shame Lestat, Louis & Claudia couldn’t make it work as a family.
Agree!!
You should read the interviews by Sam and Jacob after the finale came out. Both said that Louis just wanted time to escape and didn't want to kill lestat, also lestat would be proud of both of them for doing what they did.
Lestat knows he deserves it! Can't wait for his comeback era
@@memoryisamonster Yup, 100% he's like that in the books too. Lestat. He fully admits his faults (after the fact and his long LONG time healing), fully admits what he did. And how proud he was of Claudia, he even states that what she did is something he himself would've done. He doesn't hold anything against either of them for it, and like Sam Reid says this is what Lestat needed to go through to grow and gain perspective and basically be able to really look at himself. It's so beautifully, painfully shown that Louis does in fact love Lestat and didn't for a moment want him actually dead, he just like you said needed time. Like Jacob said, he just needed to take Lestat "out of commission" for awhile, "take him off the chess board".
I personally think he did it more to help Claudia escape, then himself or them both. He ultimately did it, again, to save Claudia. Even though he had to put his hands on Claudia, just to save Lestat. Damn this show and this couple has me in such a chokehold😅
@@RowensARTstudio You've answered most of my questions! But does Claudia forgive Louie? Did Lestat kill Louie's army fling? Did he have something to do with Paul's death, was Lestat being truthful about his maker?
@LuzLuna Does Claudia forgive Louis? No. Not even a little.
Did Lestat kill Louis' Army fling? I personally think either Lestat killed him or Louis lost control and killed him. But we may never know, he didn't exist in the book.
Did he have something to do with Paul's death? In the book it's a no, Lestat got to New Orleans after Paul's death. In the show, it's most likely a no. Seeing as how Paul was already considering that prior, and it happened during the day, when the sun was very much up... I personally think he did though, I just believe it was not intentional. Simply Lestat being Lestat, only it pushed Paul to it. Like Lestat... why would you tell someone who has a religion based mental disorder, that you're the devil and you're there to take souls. While also CLEARLY being "after" his brother. What'd you think would happen 😅
Was Lestat being truthful about his maker? That is a very sad yes. The entire story was very real and fairly accurate to the book. The only difference is, Magnus kept him for I think just 1 day, 1 full night. 1 or 2, not a whole week. But that just means they'll be making what happened to him even worse, which to be fair really isn't necessary. Seeing as how it's absolutely awful in the book. He's literally snatched from his and Nicky's bed, Nicky was there beside him. It's just really heartbreaking. And if we manage not to get cancelled before S3, everyone gets to see Lestats origins. We're all gonna be pretty horrifically traumatized 😬😭
This finale was SO GOOD!!! But I could not help but think about how absolutely destroyed and angry Claudia must have felt to realize that Louis chose Lestat over her and himself yet again. After everything they had been through, after how much she saw Louis suffer because of Lestat, after how much SHE suffered because of Lestat, and after she had orchestrated the PERFECT plan to kill him! All of that for nothing. All of that just for Louis to let Lestat live. I felt so heartbroken for Claudia and Louis. Louis is so broken because of Lestat.
We will definitely see that new dynamic plays out in season 2 while they are in Europe and I can't wait!
In the books, by this time Lestat had drunk(drank?) from the Queen of the Damned, meaning he was very powerful and extremely strong. Also, when a vampire burns, you must spread the ashes away from each other to prevent the vampire from coming back. So even if Louis had burned Lestat, he would have come back to life, based on 2 reasons Anne Rice gave in her books. If the show follows any of this, it would have still worked. Lestat can't/haven't fully died.
claudia was a mistake
@@triciaramgoolam4045 if they do change Claudia's fate from book to show, that part about the scattered ashes might be something worth remembering. IF and only IF they decide to change her fate. I get the feeling Lestat (in modern times) is going to be storming that place with Marius in tow as Marius was the only one that could somewhat handle Armand and is more powerful than Armand as Marius had been drinking from Akasha ever since he became the guardians of her and Enkil.
@@triciaramgoolam4045 Not to be pedantic, but just for accuracy's sake....Lestat was also turned by some ancient nutjob vampire that'd never turned anyone, basically the vampire gene lottery. The age and number of people you turn supposedly both big factors in how powerful your spawn becomes. I'd compare it to the difference between winning the lottery and winning the powerball. It's brought up in a few of the books iirc, definitely in The Vampire Lestat (only one worth reading aside from Interview imho).
On a side note, I fucking love how Lestat ends up being "turned". First off is randomly picked by this crazy powerful vampire, who's presumably been insane for quite some time, seeing how his castles basement/dungeon is just this massive pile of corpses of the poor people he's killed over the centuries/millenia possibly. The cherry on top being how he basically treats it like the ultimate prank. Kidnaps Lestat, throws him in the body room, comes back and turns him, says literally nothing and then immediately jumps in the raging inferno body pile, manically laughing and not even wishing Lestat luck.
No joke, having read the books, that last line had me yelling: “OH, FUCK YOU!"
I said the same thing. Yelled Get the Fuck Outta Here!!! lol
We're all yelling "OH, FUCK YOU" and "WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS BULLSHIT"... while Louis' eyes scream "HELP MEEEE" and Daniels just like "what the fuck Stockholm Syndrome, hostage situation did I walk into" Because ya'll... ya'll. Someone (Lestat you beautiful asshole) needs to save Louis, and Daniel, my guy... I'm sorry, but you're fucked.

1:52 I like how you can see Armand taking off his contacts in the background
I'm excited to see how terrifying Armand is gonna be in season 2. The writers did this for a reason and it wasn't to give Louis a happy ending. Readers know who Armand is and what he's like. I mean, he DOES love Louis in his own twisted way, and has always been very protective. I think we're going to see where that goes wrong in the next season, rather than it being another thing Louis recounts. Instead l, they're gonna let it play out in front of us outside of the story. Chill guys, they have plans for at least two more seasons, there is so much more to get through.
For all the people mad that they twisted Anne Rice's characters: she worked on the first season WITH them before she passed. She was excited about this show, from what I've seen quoted in articles. You're mad that Louis is black, but in the book, page 148, he literally says he's Creole. Even if he hadn't and it was purely a creative choice on the show writers' part, there is such thing as creative freedom, and the writers are allowed to twist the narrative a little, or a lot, to fit their vision. I'm personally very excited to see what they do with it, because we all know it's gonna keep going downhill and past rock bottom.
I think because in the books, daniel and armand were together, we will get to 80s and see young daniel more.
I'm actually looking forward to seeing Armand's way of dealing with the not so little Claudia problem in the Season Two.
@@agnes4428 Oh season 2 seems like it's going to be nuts. There's been some season 2 spills from the shoot in Prague and the TdV is modeled off Grand Guignol. If you don't know what that is, look it up! It's going to be pretty brutal.
They have the rights to all the Vampire Chronicles and I think they’re planning this Immortal Universe to cover almost of not ALL the books, plus it’s interweaving with the Mayfair Witches etc. So it’s gonna be more than just two more seasons. My theory is that if book one, based on what I’ve seen, is looking to be covered in 2 seasons of 7 episodes each (s1 had 7 episodes) thats 14 episodes = + or - 13-14 hours in total, which isn’t bad. Book 2 The Vampire Lestat will probably be down the same way, that’s 2 more seasons 3&4. 7 episodes = 14 hours. I’m also counting book 3 cuase they’ve already mentioned clues towards Queen of the Damned in the s1 dialogue. So book 3 Queen of the Damned, 2 more seasons seasons 4&5 of 13-14 episodes that’s 14 hours or maybe 3 seasons because there’s a lot that happens there with more vampire plus the Talamasca etc so 2-3 seasons = seasons 4 5 & 6 = 7 episodes each that’s 21 episodes which =s 20-21 hours to cover a single book. That’s not bad and they’re like 10 more books after that. But I’m just keeping my predictions to up to 3 cause of the clues of what’s coming, plus a clue they showed which references Menoch the Devil which I’m sure that implies they’re gonna cover that book as well and that’s book 5. So more is on the way.
Creole doesn't necessarily mean black they have white creole people too. Also it doesn't bother me it did surprise me. But I don't care what color he is as long as his acting is good
Everybody wants da Louie. He can't keep up, he's in such high demand 🙂🙂🙂
He got that good good. Lol
Remember, in the books who ends up being Armands companion, this is how they are going to do it... Daniel doesn't remember the night he and Armand met remember that the very strong vampires can remove memories. My theory is Daniel and Armand shared a moment, and the bite that Daniel remembers receiving from Louis, he may have received it from Armand, it explains why Armand looked so hurt when Daniel called him the rent boy, and the attraction Daniel has to Armand but he can't figure it out
I think the bite scar is from Louis but remember that vampires can heal their victims after they bite them so Armand may have taken a sip any other time and there would be no evidence, meanwhile Louis was still trying to master the little drink at the time and Armand had to physically pull him off Daniel so they were both too busy to even care if Daniel had a scar.
That being said I do think the devil's minion tale already happened, right after the original interview just like on the books and instead of turning him after 12 years together, Armand erased Daniel's memory of their time together and he was trying to get him to remember by being in close proximity while pretending to be human
Was it raining Louis that line gives me goosebumps
Daniel is personally my favorite character besides Lestat. Since Eric can't go to the other amazing sets and wear dazzling costumes, he is pressured to hold his own in the scenes that he has with Jacob and Assad. He's not only hilarious but he's very witty. You can't pull the wool over Daniel's eyes. He calls BS in a heartbeat. The major difference between Daniel and every other character is having lived a long life as a human being, and experiencing every stage of human life and enduring a chronic illness. As powerful as Lestat is and as grand as immortality appears to be, he along with the other vampires will never know what it truly means to grow old as a human. In the movie "Troy," Achilles explains it quite beautifully: "The gods envy us. They envy us because we’re mortal, because any moment may be our last. Everything is more beautiful because we’re doomed. You will never be lovelier than you are now. We will never be here again." Daniel has reached his personal apex as a journalist, so you have to assume he's chronicled countless other human lives and d*** good at his job. Daniel is unique, because in a way, he knows more about human life than Lestat and Armand. Now that he has interviewed Louis, Daniel can now methodically ask, what's more meaningful, to be a vampire and potentially live for centuries or to live a full human life?
Who else thought that Eric's portrayal of Daniel was eerily similar to Anthony Bourdain?
(FYI, my comments are in reference to the TV series, not the books.)
He's also seemingly the only person with a sense of morality.
I think we are headed to a battle between Lestat vs Armand for Louis.
Bring it on!!!!

"What's a mediocre star to a 541 year old vampire." Sorry but I laughed. The star is billions of years old. He's not even a toddler in comparison to that.
I’m quite sure he doesn’t mean that in a literal way, but in a poetic one. More like, “I’m a vampire and my biggest weakness is the sun, but I’ve lived long enough to become immune to it.”
@@ADMG yes, I did get that context, but it was still rather silly.
But to be fair, there are dozens of stars that are way older, faster, bigger, more powerful, and brighter than the sun
(even others in our galaxy alone). The sun is just the star we orbit. So compared to some of the other stars out there, the sun can be seen as mediocre.
In comparison to other stars, our sun is mediocre. I don’t think he was saying it from a place of arrogance. Just that whatever supernatural force they are, they are old enough where the sun does not affect them anymore. I’m sure if it was a larger star probably but then also our planet wouldn’t exist anymore.
(Edited for spelling)
@@queenmoreau2098 Yes, that's true, but the sun is only mediocre compared to other stars. Armand himself doesn't even have the same importance as an ant in comparison to that mediocre star we call our sun. One solar flare from the sun can cause problems for the entire planet.

The same Lestat that lied repeatedIy, physically abused Louis (almost killed him) and kept Claudia prisoner? No thanks! There's a reason Louis and Claudia escaped.
Unlike book or movie Louis, who contemplate death this Louis is very codependent , self hating and extremely suicidal , so Im guessing once Claudia died ,he tried to end his life must prob multiple time.
Armand probably remove the memories that would lead him to his downfall.
But future Louis lives like a doll, Armand feed him , probably cloth him and it seems he never leave that home.
But lestat is not better, that man wanted to kill Claudia and replace her with his side piece, why did he think that would work.
Louis loved lestat but lived for Claudia.
He did no choose lestat over Claudia, just didn't have it in him to kill lestat.
There's alot of stuff in your comment that was wrong, but you seem to have read the books. Maybe this book? So I'm a little confused. First, Louis is very suicidal, he just constantly says he doesn't have the courage to kill himself. When he finally tries, he's saved. He's very self-hating in the books as well, always at odds with what he is.
In this series alone (because he does choose Lestat, in the books as well): He chose and chooses Lestat over and over again. Yes, technically he broke up with Lestat, or at least implied he was going to, before Claudia. But when Claudia left, he stayed with Lestat. When she came back, and wanted him to leave with her, he stayed. He didn't immediately leave with her I mean. Then when Lestat nearly killed him, he took him back. Then spent years trying to get Claudia to accept Lestat back and treat him better, saying stuff like "do better" to her. When she revealed that she planned to kill him, he told her no and immediately tried to persuade her not to. When she was going through with the plan, she literally could not tell him because he was too in love with, to entwined with Lestat. And then, down to the last hour he tried to stop her again "we shouldn't do this". Then you find out that he did stop Claudia from burning him AND turned around and saved his life. If you really think he did not choose Lestat, time and time again. Then you were NOT paying attention.
@@RowensARTstudio I totally see your point but at the same time I also see this guy's point as well like he did choose lestat over Claudia but same he chose her over him, he lives for Claudia!
@@runningbear6391 it's a AU of interview with a vampire, I also think they could of changed the name .
@@Artorion Now that part is true, for this rendition and the book "he lives for Claudia" definitely true
@@RowensARTstudio Yep
Daniel is an absolute master strategist at making people crack under their own pressure I love it. He knew this entire time that Louis was hiding something, and the SECOND he found out what it was he just had to let Louis have it. To Daniel Louis may be a vampire, but he's a hypocrite and a liar just like any other human.
Daniel may sound rude and offensive, but he does make a good point on how toxic Louis and Lestat’s relationship was. And he’s right about Claudia being so messed up, especially since Louis chose Lestat over her and didn’t realize her failing mental health until she became a serial killer.
Daniel embodies “brutal honesty”.
I love IWTV, and I originally did not have high hopes for the series, but I was very mistaken. I love the way everyone was portrayed and the dynamics between the characters, it’s brutally beautiful. And I just love how they portrayed all of the emotions that made up Louis and Lestats relationship.
At the end - unspoken of course:
Louis: Help me
Armand: Just try and take him from me. Go on, try.
Omg this show finale was sooooooo good! I love the how they honored the book but also expanded it and made it interesting
agreed, sure fucked with it a fair bit too. but i'm curious to see how they planned around this.
I love this whole ending scene so much but the beginning of it is hilarious when at 0:23 armand says "this session is over" and daniel gives him such a funny look like "really bitch?" like he is about to destroy armand's lying ass skfjfjd
Everything from the casting to the acting to the writing! One of the best shows of the year! AMC is handling this whole series with so much care and you can really tell everybody involved truly understands the heart of the source material.
Grey worm👍🏾
“I protect him from himself.”
That cut to Louis looking tired and dejected at 2:13
RUN LOUIS RUUUUN. LESTAT SAVE YO MAN
You mean the same guy that dropped him a Bajillion feet?
@@Fluffadoodle me as Lestat apologist want to say that was their girl's version of story. It might not really have happened or it may not be what really happened.
@@Fluffadoodle if Louis was my friend in real life, I’d tell him to stop relationships for now and get therapy.
But, Louis as a fictional character, I can’t help but want them to reunite. Even though they are fucked up.
I know that while his and lestat’s relationship is pretty toxic (they are literal murderous vampires) they are also super entertaining and engaging. Iwtv was never meant to be an educational story to learn healthy relationships from. While i think it’s a very meaningful and wonderful story, it’s also a dark, horror fiction, and meant to entertain.
Plus, it’s been a long time since Louis killed lestat. And hopefully he’s found living in garbage humbling (well well well, trash meets trash huh).
Armand is arguably worse than even lestat, and honestly, I don’t see anyone else here to save him.
They love each other deeply, despite the imperfections. And together I think they tell a compelling and beautiful story, with the murder, blood, flaws and all.
@@naturalsapphire9641 yeah I agree and I genuinely hope it is so.
@@naturalsapphire9641 As a massive book fan, I wholeheartedly agree. I don't think it's even a "Lestat apologist" thing. If you know the books and you know Armands character, and what his main Vampire power is. And how he "wins" (essentially steals Louis) than it genuinely makes sense. I think the show itself does a really good job at letting the audience know that there's something just 'off' about the whole scene/memory, and I could get into everything I noticed that convinced me that's what's going on - that the memory itself is accurate and has been manipulated or messed with - but it's 6am and I have to get ready for stupid work. Just know that there's so many of us that are thinking the same thing you are.
I want to see Armand and lestat have a full on bitch fight against each other for Louis. Hair pulling and catty insults and everything
Armand is older than lestat. The oldest always wins.
I'd LOVE that in season 2
@@leeelam5520 lestat fed from the queen so in this case, he's stronger.
Hair pulling that is so funny
@@ninetimesaday yeah but didn't armond feed from the queen too?
I remember reading somewhere that the bookshelf being so high up is so somber because throughout the show we've been told AND shown that one of Louis' pleasures in life is reading. Probably one of the things he loves most. But the bookshelf is so high up that only Armand can reach it since Louis can't fly. Louis can't even partake in his favorite hobby on his own :( That's how i got bad vibes from armand
LESTAT has to be alive. Lestat and Louis have to be endgame! Aint no way Louis just said Armond iS tHe LoVe Of HiS lIfE. Louis is defo under his control
Facts
Yeah Louis is very unstable and a very unreliable narrator, and Loustat is endgame, it’s canon
Well I mean, we know he's alive. What Daniel is forcing out here, is that Louis did everything he could to save Lestat. Gave him the best chance of surviving what was done. And yes, Louis is definitely under his control. Book Armand can't fly or walk in the sun, but he has very strong psychic/mental control power. And is one of the WORST vamps. And is also completely obsessed with Louis... Thankfully Louis and Lestat are endgame, they always find their way back to eachother. Always.
@@RowensARTstudio He can control the Louis 's mind , but not his feelings . He loves Lestat soo deeply , that's the point to turning point
I don't remember from the books but Armand was cruel. And this has to be mind control.
i love how this spin on daniel really shows the unreliable narration lol (and i love unreliable narrations)
I think what we're forgetting is that Louis and Lestat have a love hate relationship. As much as Louis wants to hate Lestat. He simply can't. After all, Lestat was the one that made Louis realize that nearly everyone in his human life was using him. Lestat gave Louis the choice to either be a vampire, to die, or to continue living his life as a human. Lestat took away Louis suffering from the death of his brother (death of his family in the original story). Yes Lestat did a lot of bad things to Louis, but you can't just purely hate someone that in the long run has help you out. It's a love hate relationship between the two. And I think there's things Louis can admit that he was in the wrong rather than Lestat. For example with the turning of Claudia, (in the show) Lestat told him it was a bad idea but Louis begged Lestat to turn her. You can feel Lestat's anger as he felt like the 3rd wheel. Nobody wants to feel like a 3rd wheel especially in a family. And in a way I could understand his behavior when Claudia and Louis were gonna up right just leave him. Idk, I just think that both (technically all three) parties are at fault. But that's the thing with relationships especially toxic ones. People treat each other awful but in the long run they've also helped each other. Idk. I just found their relationship in this show very interesting as it resembles how toxic relationships are. How relationships are in general lol.
Even with all the changes this Series captured the relationship between Lestat and Louis perfectly
Ooooh I missed him taking out his contacts when it first aired... I thought (at the time) he was using some kind of vampire glamour to hide his eyes.
The series is so impeccably cast, I can't even.
This is such a good moment , and such a strong finale!!! I really can't wait to see what they do in the future, and SSOOOOO bloody happy S2 is confirmed!!!
I love this reveal and I just love this whole show so much
I love this cast so much
@@runningbear6391 simple, because this is kind of an AU. It does follow the book somewhat, but not completely. In the book, Louis owns slaves. The 1994 movie followed that as well, but did change it with him having a wife that died in childbirth with the infant. That was the first AU. This would be the second one, which mostly follows the book with Louis's brother falling to his death (I am still convinced either Armand or Lestat did it, and I have a very good reason why), his sister getting married, and his father dead making him head of house. However, in this AU, he is a pimp and Lestat takes a liking to him. And in this one, Lestat doesn't really give Louis a choice like he did in either the book or the first AU. In this one, Lestat basically coerces Louis to become a vampire. Unlike in the book and first AU, this AU's Louis didn't have a choice. He was manipulated into becoming a vampire. I think that if Lestat didn't use his powers on him or anything, I think Louis would have rather stayed human. This is speculation on my part though, but I doubt that he would have consented to being a vampire if Lestat didn't influence him.
But yeah, as long as you see it as an AU of the original story and not as the story itself, it's actually pretty cool.
@@runningbear6391 Its art and most of all fiction..remakes happen all the time
@@youdrainme8043 this is also true.

As soon as I finished the last episode I was blown away and went straight to UA-cam. I'm glad to hear there will be a season 2 and/or a season 3. Can't wait.

The acting is worth raving over. I got to give it up to the writers too. Truly horrifying on a epic Vampire level. Claudia is..just wow, super scary. This was a excellent season finale. I can't wait for part 2.
Facts her and Daniel were my favorites
Am I the only one who's completely depressed after this scene?
I can't live with this! 😅💀💀😭
am I the only one seeing this?
I watch this video over and over again, and after the surprise of "who rashid is", focusing on Louis, I feel like he's desperate...
when he "presents" Armand, the sad music, Armand's icy gaze, Louis' more than frozen smile presenting him as "the love of his life", I have the impression that he is screaming at us help!!!"
like Daniel, I don't understand this desire to make a book with a story where a lot of things are missing... but isn't Louis calling for help, there?!
It's so creepy one moment he has this emotional breakdown over Lestat and the next moment he's holding hands with Armand.
Louis never even uttered the word love in front of Lestat and now he's saying love of my life to Armand. Something is definitely not right
Mind control at its finest. Svengali overtones.
as much as I love literally every single actor in the series, I'm a little tiny bit sad that Armand isn't slavic again, as he is in the books, but that's just because I'm slavic too and there's nearly never any of us in media like this, and if they are, it's always russians lol still I love him, he has armand looks and character and i liked him ever since he appeared on screen so that's all that matters, i love armand 🥰
Literally starting screaming during this scene.
Moonlight Sonata in the background will always makes me think of Lestat. The 80s movie featured it also ✌️
I don't think either of them really love Louie. I think that as immortals they get stuck in their time frame. Set in their ways. They bring new vampires into the circle so they can be brought up to date. Since Louie had his humanity intact he may be more capable of going with the flow of time, more so then other vampires. It's like Louie said to Armand in the movie, "you want me to quicken you once more" I just think most vampires in Rice's universe are users
What i don't understand is why people watch this if they hate it...rent the movie and bei happy or just read the book and be Happy...
I think they combined Daniel’s character with David Talbot. While the show took several liberties with the source material, I’ll definitely be tuning in for Season 2.
Perhaps. The majority of the changes were things Anne was working on or had written with her son for the show. I'm good with it.
"You don't need a memoir Louis. You need 100 sessions of EMDR".
"this is the same shit that happened in San Francisco" "Not exactly"
"You were there" "You don't remember, do you"
Ok but what happened in San Francisco?
**In Loki voice** TELL ME!

2:40 Glad they wrote around the 'sun issue'. Still got to wait 400 years for it but good to know you don't have to be in the 'dark' forever.
I feel like Daniel is a bit jealous and like Louis himself.
Well Daniel called Louis out one his bullshit. He really is still the pimp from storyville. Daniel probably knew when he got there that there was a moderate chance he will be killed (Remember, the guy has parkinsons, he had nothing to lose at this point). Given Louis temper, Daniel constantly pressing his buttons, goading him into taking his life. He seems calm considering Armand openly says he wont save him this time.
I have a theory that David is working with lestat to free Louis from Armond. Cause in the book Armond has a crazy obsession with Louis to the point of killing Claudia in a pretty horrific way. Curious if they will bring in Daniel and the talamaska for season 2. Although I can see them waiting on the talamaska until they bring in akasha. Guess it depends on how much of the books they plan to stick with before they go off on their own.
