I left FB groups because it seem all people know how to do is call it a "tree"and harass people for not using high $$ parts. Sure, OEM is great, but you did what you did and used good sense.
555 is a quality name brand. 555 is made in Japan and I have a lot of their parts in my Toyotas. Good job on the DIY! It was nice to follow your workflow.
Good video! Im watching because I am lowering my 2002 Sequoia. I have 306,000 and running great. No oil leaks no oil burning and under the hood is beautiful clean. I change my oil less than 5,000 miles. With this milage I want to make sure it is slippery on all internal metal. In going to cut an inch and a half off front springs to lower it 3" in front. about the same in the rear. I pot 20" Comp Pro alloys on it with a set of 265 low profile tires on it and wow! what a difference on freeway and what a different driving suv it is. nice crisp response.
Good combination and with good reason. As you stated your not building a "off road " vehicle. You doing some basic upgrades and enhancements. It's the correct choice of parts. 😎👍
I had to pause the video at 3:11 once you said you got moog ball joints. I know people that have almost died with them. Please go oem on the ball joints. The other parts fine but ball joints need to be oem. Truck looks good tho. Your nearest Toyota dealership will have them you need to order them.
They also never grease them or check them every oil change. Y ucan go 555 or Beck-Arnley....same as OEM. Beck-Arnely produces OEM parts and they can be found on Rockauto for MUCH less than dealersahip ripoff prices. I have 50 k on my current run and they are tight as day one.
I've experienced this twice now (sequoia and 4 runner). The front tires look like \ / even after an alignment and the numbers are "good". Bought UCA with correction for both.
Looks Great! I ended up having to cut the rear shocks off my 2002 with a grinder. You didn't happen to do a video when you painted those rims did you? They look great and I would love to know the kind of paint you used and the color. They look awesome.
Ahh that works too since you didnt have to use the rear shocks anymore. I didnt record the painting process unfortunately. But the color is just a metallic gold. From duplicolor
tbh if you’re not wheeling it hard, this works just fine. did the same on mine. but i wheeled it hard and now i’m replacing everything with bilstein/ome/dobs lol

Made a huge difference ! Looks great dude I have a 2005 2wd with 260,000+ miles and I’m wanting to do a conversion to regular suspension from the air suspension Would this spacer lift still work with the new suspension, Good idea or no? Thanks !
Definitely did! And yes its a great idea bit honestly im not sure. My truck did not come with air suspension so i know for sure it would fit mine. I know some spacer kits do not fit the air suspension version. But they sell lift kits to eliminate the air suspension
@@-LFATV yeah, we ended up getting a kit to take the air suspension out. That’s why I was wondering if the spacer kit you’re using works without the air suspension since we are going to get rid of it
I have a 2005 Sequoia Limited 2WD (225,000 miles) with air ride suspension and of course it doesn't hold air in the rear bags. I was thinking about doing a 2.5" suspension lift and delete the entire air ride suspension but then I saw your video. Is it cheaper to just replace the bags and rear shock and just add the 3"spacer lift? Do the 3"spacer lift change the suspension geometry enough to lower ride quality for a city dwelling Sequoia? I can get a 2.5 suspension lift for $1,400 and install myself or is it cheaper to do it your way? Beautiful transformation btw. Where did you get the red air bags for the rear and what part number d8d you go with that was compatible?
If im honest ive been daily driving the sequoia and it rides okay, lift looks good and cheap upgrade, but if its within your budget to buy an actual lift i would go tjat route instead. Im cheap and dont care much about ride quality or little clunks here and there.
