MS had to sell ABK cloud rights to Ubisoft, i'm not sure how Ubisoft could sell without it becoming a mess. MS wanted to license the ABK games back from Ubisoft so they could put them in Xcloud. I hope Ubisoft can survive. I'm not sure what happens to ABK cloud rights if Ubisoft is sold to a MS competitor.

The Indy Jones cutscenes were still in English if you watched the show.... based on what I know about the way Xbox lazily localizes thing for Japan (part of why the system isn't popular there) I'm not super convinced anything beyond the gameplay and menus are localized.
Ummm, people are still confused about digital and physical. In terms of access to the game files, there is no difference between having the game files on disk and downloading the files to a HDD. The main difference is the storage of the license, which affects your ability to transfer the license. That license still have to be validated before it can be used. This is the reason piracy is a problem. When you circumvent the validation of the license then you can play the game because you own the files. Its still 100% possible to stop validating the license of a physical copy of a game. Its just that some people don't realize this because they don't really know how things work.

It doesn't matter if the content is on the disk, you are still paying for a license to play the game, that's what the EULA is all about. Yes, you can sell it (which is great), but there are still restrictions on what you can do with it, like copying and distributing the game yourself.

I feel like we need to stop talking about FF16 coming to Xbox. It's been way too long now since this rumor was first put out and to date there's been nothing but broken promises. FF13 came out on Xbox360 three months after the PS3 version. FF15 game out day one on both Xbox One and PS4. Why is this game FF16, almost a year and a half now still not out on Xbox? Something just seems off and even if it did come at this point, it's not going to have much of an impact because they took way too long. Everyone would have already moved on.

MS had to sell ABK cloud rights to Ubisoft, i'm not sure how Ubisoft could sell without it becoming a mess. MS wanted to license the ABK games back from Ubisoft so they could put them in Xcloud. I hope Ubisoft can survive. I'm not sure what happens to ABK cloud rights if Ubisoft is sold to a MS competitor.

The Indy Jones cutscenes were still in English if you watched the show.... based on what I know about the way Xbox lazily localizes thing for Japan (part of why the system isn't popular there) I'm not super convinced anything beyond the gameplay and menus are localized.
Ummm, people are still confused about digital and physical. In terms of access to the game files, there is no difference between having the game files on disk and downloading the files to a HDD. The main difference is the storage of the license, which affects your ability to transfer the license.
That license still have to be validated before it can be used. This is the reason piracy is a problem. When you circumvent the validation of the license then you can play the game because you own the files. Its still 100% possible to stop validating the license of a physical copy of a game. Its just that some people don't realize this because they don't really know how things work.

I feel like we need to stop talking about FF16 coming to Xbox. It's been way too long now since this rumor was first put out and to date there's been nothing but broken promises. FF13 came out on Xbox360 three months after the PS3 version. FF15 game out day one on both Xbox One and PS4. Why is this game FF16, almost a year and a half now still not out on Xbox?
Something just seems off and even if it did come at this point, it's not going to have much of an impact because they took way too long. Everyone would have already moved on.

It won't reach anywhere near that amount on the Xbox. PC version has been released. Where is the Xbox version? It's a last priority. The only benefit into putting games on Xbox for third-party is if Spencie slips them a check for Gamepass release. FF14 on Xbox flopped, Pixel Remaster isn't going to produce big numbers either.

I hope not, without Ubisoft and Rockstar gaming would be less fun. I like games more on the realistic side and without Ubisoft we lose a lot of that. Rainbow 6, AC, Far Cry, Ghost Recon, Watch Dogs, Riders Republic. It would be terrible, we already have to many junk cartoony/anime games.
