I know this is a year old but it peaked my interest, I had one of these in the UK when I was a kid. It was illegal to use over there as it had AM capabilities, I didn't realize over here you could only use AM and not FM . I had it set up in my bedroom with an antenna mounted on a wheel rim in the attic, I could talk to guys on the oil rigs in the north sea with it. Great fun as a kid.
Hi. as others have said this is the same chassis as the Chaser 5000. This radio has a PA/CB switch where the FM/AM switch is as the Chaser is a AM only radio. The taped extension socket is for the PA speaker.
Hello, I have the same device. But I don't have an adapter. Where can I find an adapter for this device? If possible, could you share the volt-ampere values with me?
got the exact same radio here, without asc....but made in hong kong!!!!think mine is from 1981 serienr starts with a 1 same board, exact 10 watts am fm,and also 30 watts pep....greatings from europe 73/51 19rs041
I had to look up the Chaser rigs. Never seen that brand name before, you guys over there have some strange radios. No, Just kidding. I am fascinated what you chaps have over there. Cheers my friend.
@@390WagonMaster oh you don't know I was actually curious because citizens banned in the United States is only a.m. why don't we have FM who's using the FM 11 meter band
Not legal in the U.S but you can find thousands being used. Who is gonna charge you the FCC police? I’m a ham & I don’t see any problem with using it on free band frequencies. I have one exactly as this. It’s junk but it works. I use a Anytone AT-6666 in my car on 10 meter & some free and frequencies. That radio is nice but I’d rather use my base icom.
I had this exact CB in 1981 or 1982b in the UK. Great video to bring back some lovely memories.

There's a long brown wire you can cut to open up the modulation. You can look up the location online
Bellissima Radio!!!! Complimenti!!!
I just got one of these. It has the same PC-713ag board and the 2816 chip. Is there a way to send you an email to ask some questions about it?
