Truck is looking nice. Was stationed at Charleston Air Force Base for three tours totaling 12 years from 1982 - 2000. We called that base the country club.
Drove flatbed for Arlo Lott Trucking out of Jerome Idaho for 5 years. I was like you, I kept my storage boxes neat and tidy as I always wanted to look professional when I arrived at a customer location weather to pick up or drop off. I loved driving flatbed as the work day was more like a regular job, limited overnight driving and I would arrive at a decent hour at the truck stop or rest area to get a parking spot. I sure didn't miss that 53 foot dry van. Thanks for the great video and give your dog a hug from me.
Hello Dan and Bailey good to hear from both of you please keep the videos rolling and hope someone gives you good suggestions on your windows or hope the rain x you bought for your windows work good you and Bailey have a blessed trip.
Truck and trailer looking good Dan , What I use for streaking on my windows , I use windex and my grandma taught me back in the day To use newspaper , the ink off of the newspaper pulls everything right off the glass Squeaky clean works every time , For sure I seen Bailey looking up in the Box to make sure you was doing it right 😂😁 happy little camper , I seen the Turbo on your engine , That engine is really running good Dan , the Turbo and the exhaust if it's dark looking engine not running correctly , be safe take care yourselve Dan
Tried everything in the world over the last 50 years. Been using Magic erasers on my boat the last 5 or so years. Tried them on the glass last fall. Best thing ever, just dampen them and rub the glass. Inside and out takes care of the glass. Also takes away water spots on the glass also. But watch out if you have Tinted windows. Have not tried it on those inside. Also if its streaking, glass is still dirty. When its clean those streaks go away. The Magic erasers and Stoners Glass Cleaner is the Bomb.
Glad you could schedule a reset in sunny Florida. I always feel better in Florida, at least for a little while 🙂 Gonna be a nice cruise out to Nevada, getting close to home!
Love your vids. I'm living vicariously through your drive scenes. I really wish I could go drive for a living but I already make a decent living repairing AC's.
Hi Dan & Bailey, you've got things looking real good. I am having good luck with rubbing alcohol and vinegar mix in a spray bottle. Spray the mix on your rag not the window. The mix is 1cup alcohol, one cup of water and one tablespoon of vinegar. Keep trucking and stay safe my friend! Have a good one. mi
Welcome to South Carolina Dan. When you are at the Air Force Base, you will be about 5 minutes from my house. Wish I was in town, I would love to meet you and Bailey and see the truck. Safe travels.
Saw a YT video yesterday for the outside, cut an apple in half & rub on the windshield, does the same as RainEx. Also showed rubbing shaving cream on the inside to prevent fogging up.
In the past, when mom and dad had to clear base housing, yes I am an Air Force Brat, mom and dad would use Windex and Newspapers to clean the windows. For some reason the newsprint did a great job cleaning dirty windows.
HI DAN, KEEP UP THE AWESOME WORK WITH YOUR VIDEOS.... YOUR VIDEOS ARE AWESOME DAN. INTERESTING, INFORMATIVE, AND YOUR TEACHING THE YOUNG AND OR NEW GUYS WHAT TO WATCH FOR, CHECK, HOW TO REPAIR AND MANAGE YOUR TIME. I HAD TO STOP AFTER 43 YEARS OF TRUCKING. 17 AND I WILL BE 62. SUPER B FLAT DECKING LONG HAUL NORTH AMERICA FOR PAST 20 YEARS ALL OVER NORTH AMERICA KILLED MY BODY BIG TIME. AT 17 I WAS OFF ROAD OVER SIZED LOGGING IN NORTHERN CANADA AND DRIVING IN THE OIL PATCH AND IT WAS EXTREMELY HARD ON MY BODY. SHOOT IM ONLY 5 FT 8 160LBS SOAKING WET. 43 YEARS OF DRIVING EVERY TYPE OF TRUCK AND TRAILER COMBO AND ALL OVER NORTH AMERICA AND I NEVER EVER HAD ONE ACCIDENT. TRUE FACT....... LORD KNOWS HOW MANY TIMES I CAME SO CLOSE TO DEATH, BUT I GUESS GOD OR THE CREATOR WAS DRIVING WITH ME. 43 YEARS AND NOT ONE ACCIDENT IS BEYOND LUCKY. UP HERE IN CANADA WE CARRY 160,000 LBS GROSS VEHICLE WEIGHT. PLUS I HAULED 797 MINING DUMP TRUCKS FROM TEXAS TO THE NWT NORTHERN CANADA AND MUCH MORE. WISH MY BODY COULD LET ME DRIVE. IM WORN RIGHT OUT. I LOVE SUPER B FLAT DECKING... EVERYTHING IS DIFFERENT. CHEERS FRIEND DAVE CALGARY ALBERTA CANADA 😊❤😊
One thing that helps with cleaning your windshield and wont leave streaks is use rubbing alcohol. Not sure if 70 or 90% isopropal makes a diffrence but it cleans and will never streak. Plus its dirt cheap to get which is always good. Safe travels.
Try not to clean the windows in direct sunlight. Clean them when the temperature is cooler. The materials that are used in the dashboards, sometimes give off a gas. That cause streaks. You clean clean the windows, no streaks. Next day you have streaks. You can use newspapers to clean the windows. Follow up with a microfiber towel to help remove the streaks. Just keep some microfiber towels for the windows only. It's an on going battle with streaks. You might have to clean them everyday. And wash the windows in 1 direction, the final wipe in a different direction. This is the way I do it.
Windows.... I use a diluted all-purpose cleaner to get them really clean, removing filmy grime and such. After that, I use glass cleaner with a super clean towel. Use much less glass cleaner than you think you need, just a squirt/spray onto the towel for an entire panel of glass. Follow up by wiping with another clean towel, with no product on it. In the winter, it's not a huge deal, but in warm months work out of direct sunlight. I love the truck, and as always, enjoy your videos. Stay safe! Tummy rubs to Bailey.
It looked nice and warm at that rest stop! Next time you stop at a warm place, tell us what the temperature is! I'm in MD and it's been a cold winter so far, and the 7 day is looking the same.
I recommend Sprayway Worlds Best foaming action glass cleaner with crumpled up aluminum foil. Works great Dan. Great video as always. Beautiful truck my friend.
Hey Dan !! Know you carry a little torch with you ,so with the hood spring ,heat the end & bend it to make a loop for hooking back up & may have to pull 1 coil out to stretch fit !!! Should get you by till you can get a new 1 !! Have a good week& Thanks for showing The Rig & Bailey !!!
Nice job on this video, Dan. Good to see some of the inside details of life on the road. What really amazes me as anon-trucker is the amount of equipent and technical kowledge needed to run what seems like a "simple" flat bed operation. It sure is more complex than simply rolling pallets of boxes into a dry van ;-). Stay well and be safe, it's going to be a good year my freind, I can feel it.
I knew when you asked for window cleaning tips it would rank right up there with how to secure coils lol! Can't wait to try mr eraser. I've read the plastic dashboards, trim, etc emit some sort of fumes that creates the haze. Another great video Dan, and Bailey's a happy pup for sure. Stay safe.
Dan when I was trucking, I would use Clinton glass cleanr. It comes in aerosol cans, and foams up. I was a Brauney paper towel supporter also. The cans work best even in winter. Hope this helps, safe travels.
I'm loading in Oregon in the morning I'll be coming back down thru Nevada I'm heading to Alabama just outside of Mobile idk what route you will be taking but maybe I'll see you somewhere be safe
There are several you tube videos on glass cleaning. Best one I found uses a Mr Clean sponge to clean the glass and get the crud off then use your favorite glass cleaner to finish it off. The Mr Clean does a good job getting the streaky stuff off the inside. Good luck.
D, 1)a good cleaner is 'A-ben-A-qui' its a paste. I couldnt get water spots off my trucks glass, tried all sorts of stuff. It worked good. 2)For your coil stuff in RR box maybe a smaller box put on top of the one U have. looks like theres space. 3)U said a while ago U were going to get a dunnage rack..changed mind? 4)Think about a carpet/pad etc for the dog to use in the lots. All the asphalt, concrete dirt lots are: hot, wet, cold, dirty, oily or worse. 5)R U using the tv satellite? Dont c the dome
My method for washing truck windows is to do a first-pass with a bucket of warm water with a liberal amount of truck wash detergent (nice and soapy), using a microfiber towel. Then finish with a small amount of window cleaner and a fresh microfiber towel. Even the water and truck wash can get it pretty clean if you wring out the towel well for the last pass. Obviously has to be plenty above freezing for this to work; don't want to crack a window with thermal shock.
I should add; the thing about the bucket of water/wash is that it is more for being able to clean the cloth regularly. You don't need to have it saturated when you apply it to the glass (although it obviously doesn't matter to much on the outside surfaces). I start on the inside, as they're usually cleaner (no bugs).
Dan, at the end of the video, Bailey was fussing at you when she barked bc you was ignoring her by arranging your storage box. O. I'm up here in upstate SC so you was kinda close in Charleston.
Bailey is so Photogenic. She always wants to be on the side of the Truck where you and the Camera are. 😬👍
To avoid streaking on the windows, use newspaper instead of paper towels. Not sure why, but it does work.
A clean truck makes a happy truck and driver
White vinegar and a clean terry cloth towel/ wash cloth. 50/50 mix
Inspector Bailey checking out the equipment box made me laugh. Thanks for the video, Dan.
Orange truck is bad ass. Looks amazing in the parking lot.
Truck is looking nice. Was stationed at Charleston Air Force Base for three tours totaling 12 years from 1982 - 2000. We called that base the country club.

Vinegar and newspaper plain and simple, no streaks and the newspaper leaves no fibers or streaks!👍
Hello Dan and Bailey good to hear from both of you please keep the videos rolling and hope someone gives you good suggestions on your windows or hope the rain x you bought for your windows work good you and Bailey have a blessed trip.
Love seeing Baily Corgi dog shes so cool. Nice new to you truck congrats!

Vinegar and newspaper is the best thing for glass.🇨🇱
Truck looks real good in person I was the TMC truck that pulled up next to you at that Rest area on 95.

@@SuperTruckerdan I was going to say hey but I didn’t wanna bother you

We use AC Delco glass cleaner on our fire trucks at the volunteer fire department I belong too. It has a foaming action and does not leave streaks.
I bet that truck would look good all shined up!

Tellico Foaming Glass Cleaner works wonders on windows and mirrors. Its not cheap and use microfiber towels.
Late to the window cleaning suggestions use Magic Eraser sponge. It cuts grime and dirt really good.
Some of the best glass cleaning stuff is Gtechniq glass polish then gtechniq ceramic coating for glass. Works great.
One thing that helps with cleaning your windshield and wont leave streaks is use rubbing alcohol. Not sure if 70 or 90% isopropal makes a diffrence but it cleans and will never streak. Plus its dirt cheap to get which is always good. Safe travels.

Invisible Glass. 💯
Maybe you can put a box or weld something on top of one of your boxes to accomadate the coil racks. To keep them out of the box and secure.
Very Nice and organized That's the way I always liked it, makes the job easier.....
It looked nice and warm at that rest stop! Next time you stop at a warm place, tell us what the temperature is! I'm in MD and it's been a cold winter so far, and the 7 day is looking the same.
Be safe dan
Dan, Sprayway glass cleaner is the best.
I use equal parts water & white vinegar, then use a newspaper, then if needed, a paper towel to get any remaining water.
Dan....go with Armor All Glass Cleaner. Seems to do well for not streaking.
I recommend Sprayway Worlds Best foaming action glass cleaner with crumpled up aluminum foil. Works great Dan.
Great video as always. Beautiful truck my friend.
Scratch the glass!!!
Truck and trailer looks great! You pay attention to detail. Impressive.
Really nice tarps. On a Dorsey. Blood sweet and tears. Deserves a 34 hour breake. With a clean rig. Life call for more?
Thanks Dan

Use a buffer and some Griot's Garage glass polish on your windows followed by Rain-X.
Get yourself a bottle of RainX Waterless Car wash.
Good for windshields and trailer boxes!
Truck and trailer are looking great! Have a nice day.
Great tarp job
Home made window cleaner, gallon of cheep washer fluid and add a bottle of rubbing alcohol. Works for me

I like looking at the little red Corvette, from the imperial co California.

For the windows....norwex window cloth and water only. Nothing like it. Little pricey but your windiws will be CLEAN. No streaks
Brilliant video keep up the good work and enjoy the day
Stay safe mate 🌵🇬🇧👍
I've always used Spray way glass cleaner with great success and you can find it about everywhere
Old window cleaners trick, a small squirt of washing machine rinse aid in the water, no more streaks👍
Try bullsnot or sprayway on the window cleaner both are good
Shit happens , thankfully it not constantly, reset area looked quite and clean 👍
There are several you tube videos on glass cleaning. Best one I found uses a Mr Clean sponge to clean the glass and get the crud off then use your favorite glass cleaner to finish it off. The Mr Clean does a good job getting the streaky stuff off the inside. Good luck.

Driver...what the capacity of the gray & black water tanks on your mini apartment ?
Looks like your plan is working
Good luck Dan.
Oh hey in the railway passengers service we use windex and wipe off with dry newspapers...
Was that the sunshine skyway bridge you were on in Florida it's a high one
Buy a waffle weave towel. Cleans glass does not leave any streaks.
Dan, at the end of the video, Bailey was fussing at you when she barked bc you was ignoring her by arranging your storage box. O. I'm up here in upstate SC so you was kinda close in Charleston.
Hey Dan, use windex and coffee filters. Works all the time
To clean your windows use window cleanrer and newspaper. No streaks.
Try using micro fiber cloths on your windshield
I found invisible glass cleaner and a microfiber rag works great
Stoner Invisible Glass. Nothing else even comes close. Use clean microfiber towels.
Vinegar spray and kitchen roll for the windows
Great looking truck and you do a great job of maintaining the equipment. Can you explain the 34 hour reset for us non truckers.
I use Windex with lemon it's seems to do well.
