Thin section 1

This video shows a thin section of a rock made of quartz, feldspar and lithic grains. The properties of the main rock-forming minerals as seen under a polarising light microscope are described. Images in this resource could be used to practise microscope drawing skills.

This thinsection has no microcline, this grain and others are products of silisification of dolomite, you can sea rhomboid shape of grains, its result of my unpublished work and this type of silisification has several by product and can create diagentic sandstones, you can use staning method, you will sea surprisingly, it is not a microcline grain
