Masayuki really do be that friend that doesn’t like ANYTHING. He’s such a dead fish in the water. But man does that, plus his observance skills, catching so many things about the killing game, as well as the whys to how it was designed make him an interesting protag. 34:30 in that case, Yaoi and yuri might happen monopengu, you cannot stop the freakiness of teenagers locked in an isolated location penguin. Also, looking through the characters, currently it feels like Enigma might shape up to be an antagonistic character during trials, with kokoro and Ji-Yeong being supporters of sorts to Masayuki. If, Masayuki doesn’t potentially just play that antag role himself sometimes? I could see it happening. And, talking about Masayuki and his dynamics with kokoro and Ji-Yeong, I am interested to see where they go. Kokoro a is a person Masayuki doesn’t get, but he doesn’t seem to really care to crack her open. Masayuki is a person Ji-Yeong doesn’t get, and that’s driving him wild. He needs, or at least really wants to understand Masayuki, either for better or worse. And honestly, seems like that could turn obsessive almost down the line. And, back to Masayuki and Kokoro. Generally speaking I’m curious to how he develops and how his view of her might change, they’re such diametric opposites I’m curious to see how knowing her effects him, if at all. Also MAN is it relieving she’s alive, I said killing her off episode one was bold, so it actually being a fake out is a very entertaining rugpull. Frankly this episode did a lot of neat things, character wise I mentioned already, but a location that was meant to be a trial lock off getting unlocked earlier cause of someone with the skills for such is very fun. Can’t wait until episode 3, I’m invested in seeing where this Fangan goes.
First, Jiang being the first person to actually get a reaction out of Masanuki other than apathy killed me lmao. Btw she is gonna be a problem to keep under check, even if she did help Kokoro survive (btw thank god she did or else everyone is screwed) the attack. Second, Masayuki when Mamiko totally obliterates Ji-Yeung: *insert "she's like me for real" meme* lol. Like, she reacted to him the same way Masayuki did lmao. They gonna get along off pissing him off.
Ooook. Forgot to mention this on my previous comment so imma put it down on this one. Kokoro is worrying me with how she like tries to frown but her sadness doesn't reach her eyes. I get she's the Ultimate Hope, but that worries me since it could mean that is not she is a happy person, but that she can't be sad at all, like a robot can't harm people if that makes sense...and that is just not a good way of living. To be forced to be happy when you dont want to.
Ok, I would like to see a game whenever the budget allows it. The imagery so far has been pretty good. Perhaps an anniversary or something would make sense? Regardless, this was a good episode.
@KUwUpa I don't mean the project gets monetized. I asked one of the creators, and they said that they only had enough for one sprite each (iirc). I'm just saying that if an anniversary rolled around, making this into a game wouldn't be a bad idea.
I don't think I've hated a character faster than I have Drew Honeywell. It's nothing wrong with his writing or voice, rather what he stands for with his talent, and yet he's fascinating with how fun it is for me to hate him. He will be interesting to follow.
