At 26:56 MOI includes multiplication of 2, it is because it is an I-section with centroidal axis at the middle.
Also for the same reason it is 12*1200^2/12 for the web.

@@niranjanmall5427 see while calculating the value of shear stress, we need the total MOI of the section. That's why it is taken for the whole I-section.
And the shear stress is acting on both the flanges, but it is taken up by the welds on both the flanges separately. THE SHEAR STRESS IS NOT DISTRIBUTED BETWEEN THE FLANGES. That's why ot would be 2 not 4.
I mean, it's not that that half the shear stress is taken up by one flange and half by the other one.

bcoz that is the yield strength of fe410

25:36 why (350×16×628) if we are considering connection between flange and web ?
bcoz we take the Ay(bar) for all the section above the section where we have to find shear strength

sir please explain from where the shear stress formula came. you r not explaining well. what is AY bar, how you are calculating AY bar. you are just writing and saying. it can be done by any book too. you are there in nptel to expalin how to do that and from where it came. totally dissappointed with this faculty. In other subjects they explain each and every term.
