    @24:23 Why is n=1? It should be 2 as number of holes are 2.

      Hasan Shirazi it should be 2 only as there are 2no of bolt holes in the failure plane.

    14:46. No of holes takes as per pitch length , so the holes in per pitch length in this fig is 2 , but he says 3

      not actually...... the area that we consider is cross section perpendicular to the tension.... but if we make a cross section perpendicular to the tensile forces.... the lowest possible area (critical area), will have 3 holes......
      we dont consider holes along pitch.

    Why is the failure line always passing through bolts? , Can the plate fail in such a way that there is no bolt in its line of failure?

      Net area is always low along bolt holes. Rupture will always occur in less area prior to gross area.
