This was a great era for TV shows like this
God bless Andre. No one could play Bigfoot like him. He's wonderful!!! ❤️🙏🏼 Rest in Peace 😔
Your absolutely correct, no one could've pulled it off better then Andre, did you know while in the bigfoot suite, he used his own hair, no wig, his real foot prints were used, size 24s!, they were also used in the pilot episode of The Incredible Hulk👍✌️
except ted cassidy who was only an inch shorter
Kevin Peter Hall, Rest In Peace with Andre.
@@KevinGonzales-ko8qxKevin Peter Hall was really around 6'10" not the purported 7'2".
Andre the Giant was Awesome! Best Bigfoot of all Time!
One of the best childhood memories of being a kid in the 70's with CHiPs, Six Million Dollar Man, Dukes of Hazzard, and so on. Being a kid in the 70's was an easier time.
And The Bionic Woman! 😁😋👊💥💯
Yes, it was a wonderful period, especially the early 70's.🙂
70's sure was!! Please dont leave out the Incredible Hulk 🙂
The Six Million Dollar Man and Bigfoot- Lee majors Interview - Behind the scenes- #CLASSIC TV 0922am 18.8.24 he just fought robots in the main...... even his mentor the likeable Oscar ended up being impersonated by a robot. the doll you could buy of the faux stave austin had interchangeable phyzogs of Steve Austin and Oscar.....
Do you remember some of the other comic book tv series Spiderman in the late 1970's?
One of the greatest shows of all time. 👍👍👍
Six Million Dollar Man vs Bionic Bigfoot is peak 70s TV!
Lee you’re a treasure ! As a kid growing up in Australia in the 70’s I watched this show , 1/2 scared but intrigued at the same time . Wonderful memories.
I still love watching the six million dollar man 😊
Here in Britain, the whole series of The Six Million Dollar Man has just been shown on the channel 'Legend'👍
This is the first time I have seen it since I was little in the 70's when it was originally on.
When that ended, they have started with Episode 1 of 'Knight Rider' and I'm loving that too🫡
From a great era of TV. This was a extremely popular 📺 episode
Loved this series when I was a kid. Purchased the 5-season w/Bionic movies DVD set. Steve Austin, Oscar, and Rudy were all my favorite people. All the Bigfoot episodes, Death Probe 1, when Steve was lumberjack, and when he broke-up the moonshine operation are some of my favorite episodes!🤩
Loved this show when I was a lil kid.
What great stories. Lee Majors tells then well. Both great guys. Thanks for sharing ❤
God bless you mr 🙏 🙌 majors for still being here with us!!!and sending much love and thanks to mswagner too!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Watching this episode as a kid in the '70s on a 19 inch TV screen was pretty exciting! Now as a 58-year-old man on my 65 inch TV screen is really something special!
I was such a fan of this show when i was a kid in the seventies. Me and All the other guys in my class were excitedly talking about the bigfoot episode for months leading up to, and following. Almost all my friends had the six million dollar man action figure.
God bless both Andre and Ted, who both gave us classic moments in tv history. They were both amazing people.
There has never been a greater show than this.
As a child watching this back in the 70's this is pure gold!!
There was nothing more 1976, than the $6,000,000 man and Bigfoot.
Yes! For me as an 11-year-old it was The Six Million Dollar Man, Evil Knievel, Saturday Morning Cartoons and KISS! Boy was I a happy kid.😃
I so get that.
And Evel Knevel
@@tanthony3895 The snake river canyon was Evels Heraldo Rivera moment
@@roquefortfiles no kidding. Those were the days
I loved that classic show! 😊I am so happy I have cd videos of all 5 classic seasons.
Growing up The six million dollar man was one of my favorite shows. The Bigfoot episode was my all time favorite!! Sure loved Speed Racer & Gillian’s island
I love Lee Majors!! He is so handsome!!! I watch The Big Valley whenever it's on!!!!! Love him.on, The Fall Guy, The Six Million Man!!! He is so fine!!! Miss you on tv!!! Hope you come back to tv, it woild be great!!! 💪💪💪💪.... 🌹🌹🌹🌹....
Lee Majors & Andre 2 absolute legends
When you're 9 years old watching Steve and Bigfoot, there's nothing more exciting.
When I watch that show today, I still can't figure how they did all those great stunts.
This episode was so fun to watch and then go out and reenact it with my cousin and little brother. We lived on a huge 500 acre farm with several creeks running through the woods and we loved playing The Six Million Dollar Man and Bigfoot at the creek!! This episode was amazing and was my very favorite part of the entire series!
I had the Bigfoot and Steve Austin action figures with the actual bionic parts in the body parts!
This series was a huge part of my childhood growing up in the mid 1970’s at the age of 5 years old. Great memories
I remember the dizzying tunnel at Universal the first time I went through it as a teenager. Of all the things I saw at the studio, that impressed me the most, having seen it in the Six Million Dollar Man and then being affected by it in real life. Nowadays they have (or had, as I haven’t visited LA since Covid) the 3D King Kong experience in the same spot, which admittedly is an even more impressive attraction.
R.I.P.: Andre the Giant 😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥😥
Now over 30 years since his death, I'm still missing him today(said in tears).
I used to watch this cool show when I was a kid. Lee was great. xx
Andre, the giant used to fly on my airplane often when I was a pilot for Piedmont Airlines. He is literally gigantic but a wonderful person. He even dated one of our flight attendants. I miss him. I was always happy to see him and he called me by my name.
The music and sound effects help make this so great 👍
The Big Foot episodes along with the Venus Probe are the ones I remember best. As a kid in the 70's I just lapped this up. As for Andre there is a very good doc from HBO (made in 2018) called unsurprisingly 'Andre the Giant'.
Andre was the man. I grew up watching him on this show and watching him wrestle, and on Conan and The Princess Bride. Rest In Peace 🙏, Andre.
Love ya, Lee! From a 70s kid to now, you're still my hero! Oh, and I love that joke about the diuretic! Lol.
Lee is 84 now!
He's still my hero too! 👊💥💯
Andre was a Giant in so many ways. R.I.P. big man❤️
I shook the hand of Andre the Giant at a match in my home town and was in the film Keaton's Cop with Lee Majors, that was filmed in my home town of Galveston, Texas, also! Met Lee and Abe Vigoda. I'm in a scene with both of them.
Loved this show but I never got a chance to see this episode. 😅
It was a two part episode. The big foot was very scary.
I love hearing Andre stories. Almost every wrestler from that time period can tell you some incredible Andre the Giant stories. Mostly about his eating and his drinking.
What a gentleman. Lee... thank you for some of the best childhood memories.
I remember as clear as day, watching the episode when Sasquatch was first shown in full view, my legs started shaking uncontrollably!! I was probably 9 or 10. From that day on, I was afraid to go in the woods!! Andre in costume is still a sight to see!!
Loved this show so much as a kid i tried picking up heavy things making the bionic noise with my mouth and it didn't work. I broke one of my mother's favorite plates , my mother chased me ..oh how i wish i had bionic legs that day.. 🏃♂️
lol
I loved the Bigfoot show !! It was one of my favourites
Seeing this episode as an eight year old boy scared the crap out of me and scarred me for life.😁
You must have watched too many episodes of Mr Rogers! 😁
@@vinylman6580 That's probably it.
The spinning tunnel was one of my favorite parts of the Universal Studios tour, since at that point 6MDM had only been off the air for about 5 years and I could easily remember the episodes. Our tour group was also captured by Cylons ;)
Andres drinking was legendary!
Seriously! I saw an interview with a friend of his who said that one time when they went out to dinner, Andre drank like 120 beers while they were just hanging around, had wine with the meal, cognac with dessert and never got more than a happy buzz. Wow!
I was determined to shake Andre's hand and I did after a match he had with Maniac Mark Lewan.
Classic times! The good ole days of T.V.!
Watching it on Peacock right now!
Lee Majors is a big hero.
My dad was a cop and friends with Terry Gordys brother back in the territory days we had different rasslin shows every other week in Chattanooga they would always call my dad to pull guard and he would bring me I was just little and in the back with the guys and their families every time andre came to town i got to ride on his shoulders down to the ring every time ill never ever forget that thanks for the memories big guy a gentle giant with a bigger heart rest well young sir and thanks for the memories
One hell of a show and hell of a time period
Loved Andre The Giant in Both Wrestling and aka Six Million Dollar Man's First Bigfoot! Ted Cassidy aka Addams Family's Lurch Played A Great Second Bigfoot as well! Wish Both Bigfoots Could of Been A Together Team in a Wishful Episode! God Bless The Great Lates: Andre The Giant and Ted Cassidy! I Still Miss Them Both!
Bigfoot and the drone were my favorites😊
The Six Million Dollar Man and Bigfoot- Lee majors Interview - Behind the scenes- #CLASSIC TV 0927am 18.8.24 y'see.................... i am now left to wonder after his diuretic episode why or how he never managed to get to the lav without literally pishing himself.... was the mystery ever solved?
Population Zero and Dr. Wells Is Missing were my favorite episodes.
@@bmoshareholderappleshareho855 I remember the one episode when a tornado was coming and Steve got everyone into a rail car..I lived in tornado alley back then..this episode really hit me back then
@@bmoshareholderappleshareho855 The Six Million Dollar Man and Bigfoot- Lee majors Interview - Behind the scenes- #CLASSIC TV 1803pm 29.9.24 cool you can recall specific episodes. i aint seen the show since it was initially aired. just been watching his lecherous nibs via the tv show ash vs evil dead... the ketamine party my fav episode... as for fall guy - so-so... could have been a better show. they were churning it all out in that era, though... knight rider, fall guy, dukes of hazard, love boat... you name it... masses of fantasy quick wit...
Beautiful story !!
One of my favorite episodes in the series as a kid I was captivated.
Who else could have possibly played Bigfoot, other than Andre The Giant? He was absolutely perfect for the role!
Always love lee easy charm
I remember Andre did the first two-parter. He wasn't available after that so Ted Cassidy did the next two-parter that crossed over with the Bionic Woman. Cassidy also returned for one last one part Bigfoot episode with the Six Million Dollar Man. I always thought the Bigfoot episodes, especially with Andre, were- pardon the pun- the height of the show. And the idea that he was an android or bionic created by aliens was the best explanation ever for the existence of Bigfoot.
Wow he looks great in this interview.
LOVED THE SERIES GROWING UP
This show was huge back in the day. We all waited for that famous opening. "Nasa to NASA 1.... roger. BPS arm switches on...
In my opinion the greatest tv show ever!
The three episodes, I remember the most distinctly were the Bigfoot episode the Venus rover episode, and the robot episode where the face comes off… All terrifying to a young kid… At least at the time.
The alien craft from space episode scared the crap out of me as a kid!
A case of beer to Andre The Giant was like two or three beers to regular people
Try half a beer. Andre would drink gallons of beer along with pints of hard liquor in one day
these episodes scared the shit out of me as a kid
Big Foot and The Prob was the best episodes
I like him on The Big Valley. It's nice to see hear him. ❤
I loved those episodes!! Also Stephanie Powers was in them. I think she was an alien
. My favorite episode 💯💯💯💯
he looks great for an 80 year old man
He really does.
No man alive has been married to hotter women.
He's 84 now,not sure when this was made?
Most men don't look that great in their 80s.
Great episode
I've recorded every episode on legend what great tv
Bigfoot was Andre the giant?! i never knew this before. I just know as a young kid, bigfoot in that show really creeped me out. lol Back then i didnt even think about, WHY is Bigfoot in this show? Seems odd now days thinking about it.
Of course, back then there was also the "BigFoot and WildBoy", which was a live action show part of that changing series of different little stories that featured I think Shazam and Isis and another of a superheroine team.
Then there was "In Search Of: with Leonard Nimoy" and they had shows about bigfoot and other cryptids and legends and UFOS stuff. There was even a movie documentary about BigFoot back then, so i guess it was just a big thing at that time period.
You could tell, at the start, as he read the opening monologue, that Richard Anderson was heartily sick and tired of TSMDM ! 😄
I was born in 65, and this Show, back then was everything...All my friends and I loved this show. I remember when Ryan O'Neill Stole Farrah Fawcett from Steve Aus...I mean Lee Majors...I was thinking what an Arse Face for him to do such a thing.
I used to love this show back then. I'm 58 years old now and watching this video, I had no idea that as Andre the Giant. Not that I would have known back then who he was.
Lee looks great...
to this day ( i'm 54 years old) i'm still terrified about the Bigfoot episodes . ( i believe there were 2 or 3 episodes).
THE SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN...A TV EPISODE THAT INSPIRED A GENERATION OF MEN 👍
Class 😊
We kill to live and live to die.If we stay here we die. We have nothing to lose. We must explore the lands beyond the ice wall and center of our Plane directly under Polaris at Magnetic North to see if Hyperborea exists and if there is a portal out of this no win situation.
I just came here to see Lee Majors.
How old is this interview? Because he looks great.
I had no idea Andre the giant was bigfoot on that show
lol… I remember this, it brings back good memories although it kind of jumped the shark… I was awaiting the Loch Ness monster episode or ufo episode lol
Oops! While discussing Andre they flash a picture of Ted Cassidy instead!
Lee Majors was legendary as Cpt. James T. Kirk on Star Trek.
Captain James Tiberius Kirk wasn't played by Lee Majors. He was played by William Shatner.
@@brandocommando5878 Haha you almost fooled me. Next, you'll be telling me that Elton John wasn't the best Beetle.
@@spankynater4242 but that wouldn't be true.
Mark Kelly, the World's First Bionic Man!
Miss you Andre,
Yes, Yes I would like a peanut.
Great video but I would skip the Universal Tunnel because I had two horrible bouts with severe vertigo.
The 2 koolest tv kats...William Shatner and Lee Majors 💪💪💪
As a kid in 1970s, I loved Steve Austin and Jamie Sommers. Even more, I loved Lee Majors WAY too much; shouldda been a lesson to me that I was a gay boy.
I wish I was a kid again.
as a kid in the 70,s i thought he was so cool because he now how to dress and always had hot women drove a 450SL
On the set, Lee had to say "boop booop boop boop boop boop" whenever he did bionic scenes, as a place holder for the noise.
I could never understand why they would show him running in slow motion. Because in the intro. Or first episode he ran at regular film speed. It looked a lot more realistic.
I absolutely did mot recognize Lee Majors at first. I thought this was just some tv producer.
That was freaky as fuck
I’m watching reruns of 6 million dollar man . Which are mostly great , all but the bad stunt doubles . Which lets the show down completely
Andre was billed at 7' 4" in height but in reality, he was more likely around 6' 10". There are photos with Andre, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Wilt Chamberlain. Both Wilt and Andre dwarf Arnold but Wilt is even taller than Andre and his height is well documented at 7' 1". Paul Wight (The Big Show) is actually taller than Andre as well at 7' 1".
Also ted Cassidy played bigfoot
