    This is without doubt one of the best Plant/Zeppelin related videos I've ever watched on UA-cam. Andy shared some amazing insights and I feel like I know Robert a little better today. Was great viewing today after watching Robert at Gateshead last night, he was amazing as was his fantastic band!

    I now understand why Robert would switch up players as he has, after not really getting it before. At the same time, as a drummer, I can understand why a player would feel slighted after the band would dispand for no apparent reason.

    Hey, JCM.
    Once you (as myself) like 70's rock, how about a new project?
    In the 70's there was a band, whose guitarrist was a Spanish guy, and smashed Deep Purple from the lists.
    The band was NAZARETH and the guitar player was Manuel (Manny) Charlton. If you like Jimmy Page, you will like this fellow as well.
    Please heard the album No Mean City and I'm very sure you will develop another project about this Spanish/Scotish guitar player. The master of sustain...
    Just a hint.
    Kudos

    This was wonderful!
    News nuggets everywhere too: Jonesy actually DID leave Zep. Not just he seriously considered it.
    And Robert has Zep content too, it's not all stored with Jimmy. And there was a 3rd, partially finished Page-Plant album. Lots of possible threads to pull.
    Andy's stories gave a lot of insight into Robert's character as both a person and an artist. His alchemy is built on sponge-like absorption of new impressions which he turns into shapes, intentions, and angles. I agree with you that he's evolved much more and better after Page-Plant. Entirely different guy than in Zep.
    Music is indeed about love!

    • @JCM-LedZeppelin-Stories
      @JCM-LedZeppelin-Stories  9 місяців тому +2

      Yes, the Jonesy theory was a shocker. Although i knew he thought about leaving and was given some time off, reality is sessions started without him as Plant said. That confirms my perspective on Graffiti you know? The 3rd Page and Plant album was probably comprised of outtakes from Unledded. Back in Japan 1994 at the press conference Plant said they had like 9 tracks so imagine...what's still sitting in the archives. Andy's storytelling is impressive, that's one of the reasons i watch his content, he's like a college professor making a lecture on a topic, in a GOOD WAY!

    • @zahrahemani5080
      @zahrahemani5080 9 місяців тому +1

      @@JCM-LedZeppelin-Stories What is your perspective on Graffiti? And what do you think Zep planned to do without Jonesy? Replace him?

      Hope Andy comes back on your channel. I subscribed to his.

    That’s the kit Bonzo brought over the first time LZ came to America. It can be seen in the pics from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Wa. ‘68. It wasn’t long however before Carmine Appice landed him the Maple-gloss Ludwig kit! This black crushed pearl kit was the one I believe used on LZ1, at Olympic. Awesome interview Jose! As usual, I noticed and loved the background music. It’s perfect! Thank you for this.

      I've always wondered about that Pearl kit used on Zeppelin 1. Having left Tim Rose, Bonzo wasn't in any other band apart from Zeppelin, so was that a rented kit? Iirc, he sold his drum kit when Band of Joy broke up as he was skint, and the one with Tim Rose was rented.
