Hot take but I think he's cringe
Vander: "vi you need to take responsibility for your actions, because everything you do has consequences."
VI: * tries to turn herself in*
Vander: "no wait not like that"
it's a shame everyone sees Viktor as sus right away, Viktor's a good boy
tbf he kinda has the visual framing of "the character who has hidden intentions" bc he's always in the shadows/has that look that could be scheming or contemplating. With retrospective of seeing the show, yea, I feel so bad that people are instantly suspicious. :'(
For real, Viktor is my favorite.
@@WileChile51 I feel so bad for Viktor.
fr i didn't even see viktor as sus at first, until i watched the reactors, and they're all saying viktor is sus.. that was the only time i realized, oh yeah he does kinda give off villain-y vibes.. lol
As a Victor, I appreciate the Viktor love
I'm genuinely shocked that they didnt pick up on the fact that Vi is planning on turning herself in. Like it was super obvious, especially with her last conversation with powder. That whole "remember that what makes you different makes you strong" was such an obvious "Goodbye" conversation lol
For whatever reason a lot of reactors I've seen don't seem to pick up on it. Don't know why. Maybe because Vi turning herself in without a fight seems to go against her character?
@@danime91 I only follow a couple reaction channels. The only other one I watch is YaBoyRoshi and I'm pretty sure they picked up on it. I'll have to watch it again to be sure. But the SOS bros look so closely at things and analyze them so well, I was sure they'd pick up on it. Not gonna lie, I was looking forward to their heartbroken noises when they saw what Vi was willing to do to keep Powder safe. That...probably sounds messed up. I don't take pleasure in seeing other people sad, I just appreciate a good emotional response cause it validates my own heartbreak. Damn...I'm just digging myself deeper here o.o
@@smashbrandiscootch719 Roshi and them are surprisingly insightful despite how much they goof around during reactions, but I've seen a bunch of reaction channels do Arcane and somehow they're still the only ones I've seen who overtly caught on to the fact that she planned to turn herself in.
edit: YaBoyRockLee not only caught it but predicted it too
@@pwytbt That's true they are super insightful. Huh, well if a bunch of reactors didnt catch on, maybe it wasnt as obvious as I thought...I guess i just took it for granted.
Tbh i didnt get it first time etiher
I always love how *literally nobody* trusts Viktor after this episode.
Lol ikr! He gives off like a backstabber vibe in the beginning but people learn to love him
@@superabi5214 Underestimating Arcane's characters, almost ALL of them, is one of Arcane's many qualities. You don't see them coming.
@@SCharlesDennicon Yes! I love that about this show!
How come I just immediately fall in love with him-
I wasn't sus of Viktor until we learned about his connection to spooky science man
Here's a cool little detail when the Enforcers attack the main kids:
Remember how Powder has beaten Mylo in the game that they were playing, when they were shooting targets? Notice how Mylo, before her, was shooting the targets with one hand to the side, almost like a gangster, or something you'd see in a movie? And then when Powder does it, she holds the gun properly, and shoots everything right. After the Enforcers enter, and Clagger turns off the light/turns on the blacklight, and Mylo jumps behind the counter, and starts shooting them, he shot them the same way Powder held HER gun, properly, and ended up hitting every shot.
It didn't do anything, ofc, since it was basically a toy, but he nailed it, thus showing he was being influenced more positively by Powder, and slowly recognizing her talent.
Aww man, it's so crazy to imagine a world where they all survived and how their little rag tag band would have evolved and growed. I know someone at Riot has, I just need the juicy details!
I think mylo is also a fast learner? Because in the first episode he did mention that he was the only one learned lock picking skills
Or he was a good guy letting the kid that feels useless win
@@bytes021 None of the kids are bad, some just spent more time on certain skills. None of them are geniuses either. There are human geniuses in combat but they aren't here (Katarina, Master Yi, Fiora, ect).
@@peternash7104 what?
Caleb: 'Actions can be taken that are just gonna hurt everybody."
Pretty much the synopsis of the whole show.
"ok we have a potential plot, but will it hurt everyone?"
- the writers, probably
“We love the things that you do, go for it, but then the second it doesn’t go according to plan, they go the other way, saying you’re crazy…”
I’m surprised they’re not bringing up how that exact situation is in the theme song. “Tell you you’re the greatest, but once you turn they hate us.”
Oh, I've always understood the lyrics as a "talking behind your back" kind of thing. Could you elaborate on how you interpret it?
@@lyrrr.8059 honestly it could be a double meaning.
Spoilers below
Kind of working for both, the talking/scheming behind your back (the way the other counselors, started acting towards Jayce after he started cracking down on their corrupt actions)
as well as the moment you make a grievous mistake in their eyes, they will hate you. (Just like what Singed said to Victor when he gave him the uhhh Shimmer I think it was called. If you do this they will hate you.)
Worth noting none of the music in the show should get claimed thanks to riot games :) loving the reactions
Preview'd getting slammed on their first episode react because of the OP would beg to differ XD
I'm a easy man, no copy strikes, means getting my money
@@DrFunkenstein101 Riot fixed that with netflix after the first week. Netflix is new to the whole "don't copyright free publicity" thing that riot does. And to be safe I still would advise people to take precaution because netflix cannot be trusted.
Only Enemy (op) is copyrighted I think. Other songs in the actual score are not
@@dubwubwubstek244 yeah seems so
Vi leaning on Vander is just such a sweet little detail. Love the Found Family in this show so much. And I even love that Vi’s reaction to Vander’s talk, that she took his words to heart and then decided to turn herself in because that would give Piltover their person to blame and supposedly Powder and the Undercity would be left alone.
Remember, Vander put the message cylinder under the bar. Ekko saw him receive it from Grayson, so he probably told Vi what it was when she asked him about the deal between Vander and Grayson.
"My name is Victor" - "Of course it is" aaaaw come on :D
I don't take Jayce's mother's argument is that "he's crazy", its more like she's arguing that he's young and has been chasing an unrealistic dream.
Also, working with Heimerdinger on his idea is a non-starter, since he's one of the people who established the magic taboo as law in their city in the first place.
People tend to blame powder for hanging from that spot to hide, but I say I blame the others they know she can't do much physically so why did they even let her get there they should have prioritized hiding her knowing she couldn't keep up.
Damn, the SOS bros didn’t catch on that Vi was turning herself in :( that was the most pivotal moment for vi’s character up until this point for me.
Seriously, they even gave her the awesome music as she's taking responsibility for her actions. That was a big growing up moment for her, really taking Vander's advice to heart.
They didn't catch it here but I think they'll realize it at the start of next episode hopefully.
i don't blame them. i think it's hard to figure it out when they only use visuals
i had no idea either until reading these comments
i was surprised when i found out that people don't trust viktor at first. as soon as that scene in the edge happened i genuinely thought he was gonna be jayce's romantic interest, with the glances and side smirks.
was pretty obvious to me that Vi turned herself in, ekko told her about the deal, left her childhood toy for powder to remember her by, and vander had a look of realization on his face as well as vi going to a secluded area as a group of enforcers seem to arrive at her location.
Also, if Vander was the one the sent the message to Grayson, he wouldn't be chilling behind his bar with Powder right out in the open while he knew enforcers were coming...
Ooof, in the end Jayce can only blame himself for speaking up, unless they have NO history class at that school he should know magic is a big no-no apparently. I'm guessing they focus on how evil and dangerous mages were, and since he met a nice one he has doubts.
The adorable professor on the other hand, knows that magic itself is what's dangerous, and those too ambitous for their own good.
if you knew anything about league, him saying "i'm Viktor" wouldve made you freak out - also viktor is one of my 2 favorite characters in this
Me realizing I would get to see the *glorious* unfold after that scene
@@ch1dd Were most likely going to see the glorious evolution in season 2. Since jinx's story is practically done.
@@zackrose6261 Yeah, season 2 is probably gonna be crazy nasty into Zaun business with a side of hexcore, since we already know WW is gonna play some role in it. Ekko will get his thing as well, I can't wait for what other characters get thrown into the mix. Hoping for some virtuoso moments to take Jinx's place as menace, and maybe Camille because of the Awaken music video.
I hate that Riot spoiled this in marketing Arcane on twitter, should've held on that. None of us leaguers would've recognized him anyway since we didn't know his face, i envy who watched Arcane without getting spoiled. I imagine it was a really cool moment.
@@hideinroom9781 Not so much cool, more of a dread with "oh dear god no I know what he looks like in-game, and it's not this."
I LOVE Heimerdinger, he's adorable but I also find him super interesting and he has such a unique perspective as someone who is essentially immortal, and SIGNIFICANTLY older than literally every other character
I can't believe I have to complement that you guys understood the vote was a GOOD thing for Jayce. Way too many other reactions forget after 3 seconds that the alternative was BANISHMENT.
They ain't ready for next episode
They did a podcast on their Twitch today where they stated that they had watched episode 3 earlier today. Judging by what they said, you're right, they weren't ready.
@@lpk675 Can't wait for the trauma
I've seen episode 3 like six times and I'm STILL not ready for it.
Fun fact: lore wise, Heimerdinger is probably actually more than 900 years old. Where he is from time flows differently.
"I'm not recommending you withhold information from the council to get a lesser sentance."
but that's exactly what heimerdinger did he told jayce to apologize and admit that his work was foolish and dangerous but to speak nothing of magic.
They were saying he didn't do that DURING the trial. Like after Jayce mentioned magic thr favouritism was dropped and he treated him well but didn't bend the law in that moment.
Its cool to see how different people react to a particular situation. In my case, once i saw Jayce's mother pull out the "he is just crazy" card, instead of focusing on how it might have hurt him, i thought it was really pragmatic since it kept him in the game, specially after he said exactly what he was told not to.
Loving these reactions, keep up the good work.
yeah i thought she pulled a pro gamer move right there. she clutched it reducing the punishment and keep him in the game. but as a typical Jayce, he blame everyone else on his team for his bad play.
@@rustygear447 Jayce typed "mother diff" in /allchat and tried to go afk, but the Viktor mid gave a rousing speech that got Jayce to reluctantly keep playing.
Someone should tell them to watch "Enemy" music video between episodes 6 and 7. It will provide additional context to relationships of 2 certain characters.
Should be okay to watch it after episode 4 even, I think.
agreed
Ekko saw Vander and Grayson talking remember? Then he told Vi he had a deal with the enforcers. It's assumed that Ekko told her about the canister and she went to turn herself in
I love that Vi actually listened to Vander and learned from him. Shewas going to turn herself in instead of starting a war which is the opposite of what usually happens in these stories
Arcane is better written than most movies these days.
The overall theme of the show is good intentions can have tragic consequences and you'll begin to see this with every action any character takes in the show
You probably know this already, but Ekko told Vi about the canister and Vi took it and sent it to the enforcers. Vi wasn't going to fight them, this was her turning herself in to give topside their "pound of flesh," as it were, to make an example of. She took Vander's words to heart and was giving herself up for the sake of her family and the undercity.
When Silco talks to the boy about power, i have always in my mind: "there is no good and evil there is only power and those too weak to seek it" - Lord Voldemort
The ending scene of ep 2 is what sold me on the show. It was so powerful.
SPOILER
Then the fakeout threw me through a loop in ep 3

It's funny, I knew Vander was gonna come to rescue her from this. Then the rest of episode 3 happened... and I was sitting there like the dog with his house on fire meme saying "this is fine"
20:48 "and now this whole thing is gonna blow on there faces...."

Duuuuuuude! 😂😂🤣🤣
I’m SO hyped you’re doing this. I love your commentary a lot. Can’t wait for all of it!
I love watching every reactor have a repeat of my rage at this cliff hanger.
I love the disdain in Powder's face when she aces the game, the perfect "yeah, fuck you" face....
Well, now to anxiously wait till next Monday.
I love how deep you guys analyze this and all your predictions. I can't wait for you to see the next episode.
I watched your reaction to episode 1 last week, and now I loved your reaction to episode 2 too!! And the discussion was super interesting as well. I already can't wait for ep.3 next week haha

Hi guys, first of all thx for the video, i love your reactions and all the talking after you watched the episode, your really developing your thoughts about what you just saw (have seen) and i like the way both of you think
I already wathched Arcane at least 15 times in both french and english, but its like i watch it for the fisrt time when im watching it with you, i’ll get all excited again… thank you
Hope to see your next reaction soon
Sry if my english is bad, or i dont make sense… im french 😄
I've always appreciated the Bros' uncanny ability to predict the way a show will go, what with their great experience with storytelling props. This show's biggest praise is that they don't seem to be able to predict that many things.
I think Vi saw Vander's canister that he got from the enforcer lady was under the bar when the enforcers came to search for them.
This is so awesome. I love your reactions to this! I can barely wait for more!
Knowing you guys and how invested you get into the characters you are in a wild ride ahead.
There is quite a bit of league content dedicated to estimating the "real" power level of each character based on their lore and mythical status (there are defined tiers for each type of entities, think of god, demi-god, demon etc type of thing). In that regard, what you said about the universe having "infinite" power scaling because of magic, it is quite true.
There literally is a god level character (which is not presented in Arcane) who has the power to create galaxies.
The game obviously evens out the playing field for obvious balancing reasons.
You're getting 10x - as many views on the (Arcane) series reaction videos- than any other. GJ!

I love how perceptive you guys are. Crap's about to hit the fan.... again... and again... and again...
they are not ready for episode 3
Really considering to get patreon for these full reactions. Thas how good this show is
Vi grabbed the message (she knew about it from ekko), then turned herself in to keep the others safe.
Episode 2 is seriously underrated. Fuck it, the entire show is flawless
Hey boys, I think Vi's intention after the talk with Vander is in fact quite clearly hinted. After Vander admits that he doesn't know the solution at the moment but states that he tries to figure it out from now on, Vi also thinks of her own of a solution to solve this problem. After all, the enforcers will not stop until they have their pound of flesh. Being the responsible person she is and also after being lectured in the last episode by Vander that regardless of what happens it is on her because she is the leader of her group, she wants to take responsibility and turn herself in by crashing the window in Benzos shop and waiting for the enforcers to find her. She sees this as the only solution out of this situation which endangered not only her group (and sister) but put the lanes in uproar resulting in even war if not carefully handled and therfore gave her guardian Vander a lot of trouble already. After all she was the one who wanted to rob the laboratory "doing a real job". If she didn't decide for her group to do that this wouldn't have happenend from her perspective- she also said in episode 1 " If you want to be mad at someone be mad at me" . Therefore, she decides to go back to her sister and gives her one last life advice "what makes you differnt makes you strong - always remember that, okay?!" (because she won't be there to cheer her up when she is in jail for many years) and without actually saying goodbye because she wouldn't be able to handle sad Powder and the others trying to pursue her otherwise- Powder on the other hand immediately senses that she is somehow off and that she might loose her as she is very sad after Vi leaves her side. I think she realized this so quick because she has such a strong attachment to her sister.
After we see Vi waiting for the enforcers we see Powder with Vander in the bar. He tries to cheer her up but realized how much of an existence Vi is for her sister and realizes that Vi wants to sacrifice herself. After realizing that Powder will be devastaded without her important person Vi (Vander can not fill that void - Powder already is strongly attached due to the trauma of loosing their parents). Therefore, he goes after Vi - the question on that cliffhanger is only if he is faster than the enforcers or not ;)
The first 2 episodes are only world building and establishing the starting point and relationships of the characters - from next episode on the real shit starts ;)
Be prepared to be completely blown away and not able to stop watching XD Love your reactions !
bruhh cant yall post the next one any quicker!!! Loving this!
Ah mate I can’t wait to see their reaction to episode 3, that’ll really get them hooked
The stone is tiny but look so heavy when the guy dropped it
TBH it's as if they made the game based off the show, that's how well they blended in the nods to the original product none of it feels like forced fanservice.
"it's as if they made the game based off the show"
It kinda is, actually. They were working on Arcane for many many years.
@@EthanBalkfield Lets not get ahead of ourselves. haha
@@EthanBalkfield Arcane was in production for 6 years but LoL as well as the characters involved existed long before. However, they have made slight changes to certain characters' lore in the past few years that people suspect was meant to better line up with their direction for the show. Sooo yes but actually no? 😅

Can't wait for you guys' reaction next week :)
These are the best reactions to Arcane that I’ve seen so far-love the analyses. Most people reacting to this show tend to brush over really important aspects to the story and overarching themes, pointing out surface-level things and nothing else. It gets quite frustrating when you’re looking for other people geeking out over the phenomenal writing of Arcane. Keep doing what y’all are doing! Super appreciative of these videos :)
Man waiting for every episode for a week is just torture
It only gets better from here! Keep watching :)
Great reaction!! can't wait for more.
I really can't wait for the next reaction
Always love this channels reactions
So hyped for the rest of the episodes.
Waiting weekly for this is gonna kill me lol
YESSS!!! CAN'T WAIT FOR NEXT EPISODE!!
All these metaphors of powder kegs and explosions... That would've hurt
one episode per week. oh, the misery
I think the implication of the ending here is that Vander's surprise face reveals he just figured out what Vi was going to do. Since the message was sent I'm assuming this was Vi turning herself in without telling anyone.
These weekly waits killing me xd
thinking she intends to fight instead of turn herself over? what a wild theory.

I dont stop and now im so addicted, that i watch every reaction or stuff, that i can find about Arcane, thats crazy
SO EXCITED FOR NEXT EPISODE
"This is a powder-keg that's going to blow up in everybody's faces" 😳
Nice Reaction BTW!!!
Heimerdinger is a yordle.
i race of small Creature that as far as i know do not die of old age.
They are spread all over Runeterrra (the World of the Lore, which Piltover and the yet undercity is a part of).
They live in Bandllecity, a Town between dimensions from where they can teleport to whatever place they wonna go.
its not a spoiler, since u are not gettin more details out of Heimerdinger or the Series in general in Terms of anything out of Piltover expect one other country
Just as Thors said to Thorfinn, You have no enemies.
Can’t wait for the next episode reaction!
Don't worry there aren't anymore cliffhangers after this one!
"Powder keg"...... Well, you're not wrong
finaly :3 Please just 1 thing - make somehow at episode 7 full part with awesome music closer to end of episode, dont cut it :( its one of the best part of series. like 30-40 sec but its awesome. No spoilers, just art+music was awesome.
Oh boy here we go
she actually is gonna try and turn herself in!
I gritted my teeth whenever they say powder keg
There was no miscomunication. Vander's had a deal with the enforcers.
Honestly if it wasn’t for Jayce’s mom would’ve been banished from the city.
Let's gooooooooooooooooooooo~!
1 full week until episode 3? COME ON!
Great reaction.
It really hurts to have to wait another week for the next reaction :(

Good stuff!
I just think it's wild that Vi and Jinx were raised by Jim Raynor.
