Lindsay! You are terrific! I just found your channel. I'm recovering from foot surgery=laid up for a bit. I have binge watched you for a few days and finally had to say hi & thank you! I have been inspired to begin to do some art journaling, and returning to my crafty roots. Thanks for reminding us just how FUN crafting and creating can be! I'm having soooo much fun. AND as a retired art teacher/Girl Scout leader/Senior Center craft instructor; I love your "Use what you have" attitude! I am famous for my decree "Everything is art supplies!" In my current career as minister, I had little time for creative pursuits. I will never make that mistake again...getting back to just playing and making stuff is simply vital for me. I am truly grateful for your inspiration and joyous spirit! peace & blessings, Rev Deb
WOW! Who would have thought!! What an awesome technique. I've been using packing tape to cover over images for years to sort of protect my images and give a shine to them but never to transfer an image. I'm going to find lots of great uses for this. Thank you so much, Li.ndsay. As always your videos are top notch and I enjoy watching and listening. I feel like I'm spending time with an old friend.
I did this today. I left my tape in a glass of water for about 10 minutes and almost didn’t need to rub it off! The paper separated from the tape in one of the corners and I just peeled it off like a sticker. Thanks for the video!
I have make copies of pictures on my ink jet printer and did this technique and it worked great. Like you I was putting them on tiles. Not sure what happened on yours but it did work on mine real well, maybe because I used a bowl of warm water. I turned mine into magnets and they have stayed real well. Love those tiles, I will say though if you are going to use them as a coaster, you will need to seal it with Mod Podge. angel hugs Debby
Great technique and seems even easier than the gel medium version you shared a little while ago. Fantastic to play with things we all probably have in our stash! :) tfs hugs, Kristina
I had to go and do this right away and it turned out just perfect! I have a large sheet of one sided sticky plastic that I'm going to try next. I think it would be great to use in a window easel card with a battery tea light behind it to show light through the image. :0) Thank you.
I like to use these transfers in my art journals. They look great on book page paper or music paper. I store my tape image transfers in photo sleeves, so that they don't stick to anything.
Thats great Lindsay!! Thanks for that. i do wish you would have shown us a few things we could use our transfers on... as i have no idea what to do with it once i make one....lol... Hugs! deb
I’m laughing at this because I have did this myself using magazine pages, with good results. This morning I tried using a print out didn’t think it would work and it didn’t work but I learned from my mistake.Love your video.tfs😃
Can you give us some ideas of how we could use this finished transfer? I like the look on tile, I imagine that these could be used as cool tile embellishments. If using them in scrapbooking or card making we would have to use staz on inks I imagine because of the plastic tape. Other ideas?
Do you think this would work with an image stamped with a waterproof/ archival ink? I may have to try it and then how would one attach the tape transfer to a tile? I'm now thinking of present ideas!!! :-)
is there a way I could find a large enough piece of transparent tape to do this on a full-sized sheet of magazine paper? Would clear sticker paper be a substitute? Thanks so much for the awesome video ♥
I did this ( used regular A4 papers and a picture and some with texts).. tape.. bla bla all that.. and when i got to the rubbin off paper bit.. whole pic came off... and in the others.. letters got smudged... and in some the color dident even come with... as in yours look perfect... what am i doing wrong ?
With ink printers the ink goes into the paper, with toner printers the toner lays on top of the paper, that's why one works for this and the other doesn't.
I have tried this method and it doesn't work for me.. I can not get all the paper off the back of it... I have also rubbed so hard that the picture came off the tape.. I used a laser print and I used packing tape... I also burnished it very , very well.. What did I do wrong???
+thefrugalcrafter Lindsay Weirich I think what Melissa and Blossom are asking is how do you apply the transfer after you have removed the paper from the tape? Do you just use them as stickers or is there another way to apply them?
Lindsay, you are inspiring and so much fun!! Please show some ideas to use these cool transfers....thanks so much!!

Great technique and seems even easier than the gel medium version you shared a little while ago. Fantastic to play with things we all probably have in our stash! :) tfs hugs, Kristina
Very cool. Who would have thought it would transfer to tape.

I like it a lot, very good idea, thank you for sharing....
I will have to try this with my clear vinyl. I have 2 big rolls of it and I am always looking for ways to use it. Thanks!
Wow this is cool another thing to add to my to do list

Ya learn something new everyday!
Have you used one of these in resin yet? Just curious how it might turn out. might try it when I get more resin in. Mahalo for sharing :)
Do you know if this can work on mugs?
oh that's great
Pls can u tell me how to use this now I have it as transfer.... I have never done this so explanation would be greatly appreciated...
Hi if I wanna get image from my computer what type of paper I can use? If I want tape transfer
can you do regular photos you have taken
Do you think this would work with an image stamped with a waterproof/ archival ink? I may have to try it and then how would one attach the tape transfer to a tile? I'm now thinking of present ideas!!! :-)
+Monica Maier it might, the tape will still be sticky but you can use any clear waterproof glue as well
i never thought of that i have only used mod podge type stuff
neato Lindsay...question for you, how would this work on polymer clay?
+Rhonda Magee you can press a photocopy to clay and bake it, the heat will transfer to clay, no other item needed:)
okey dokey...thank you. I was just wondering if that will work, also. Thank you
What about diy alcohol ink on photo sheets like how u used it instead of yupo paper I colored with markers on photo paper would this work?
Photo paper is meant to dry quick whole yupo dries slow so it wont be the same
Love this! TFS :)
is there a way I could find a large enough piece of transparent tape to do this on a full-sized sheet of magazine paper? Would clear sticker paper be a substitute? Thanks so much for the awesome video ♥
That or contact paper might work.
@@thefrugalcrafter oh okay I'll try it. Thank you. Merry Christmas!!! Happy holidays!!
Hey Lindsay! I have a question. I'm not to sure what to use these for. I want to make them, but I don't know what to do with them. Any ideas?
+I Don't know (Huh) you can stick them to a bookmark or card, they are a good size to layeron a tag for a bookmark.
Can you use any clear tape?
+Genifer Black I think so:)
can you do pictures you have drawn
I did this ( used regular A4 papers and a picture and some with texts).. tape.. bla bla all that.. and when i got to the rubbin off paper bit.. whole pic came off... and in the others.. letters got smudged... and in some the color dident even come with... as in yours look perfect... what am i doing wrong ?
For some reason only the darkest colors transferred when I tried this. :( any idea why?
Hi I did many times doing this and the picture did not even leave to the tape. When I scrub it just the tape on it all the picture were vanish lol
does a printed picture worked ?? i mean like a printed from an ink jet printer ??
no
Could you turn these into windows clings?
+starwolf539 thay are a bit sticky so go for it!
What's the next step? 🖖
This is why I want a Laser Printer lol :D InkJets just don't give you many options!!! :P
With ink printers the ink goes into the paper, with toner printers the toner lays on top of the paper, that's why one works for this and the other doesn't.
wow.....
I have tried this method and it doesn't work for me.. I can not get all the paper off the back of it... I have also rubbed so hard that the picture came off the tape.. I used a laser print and I used packing tape... I also burnished it very , very well.. What did I do wrong???
Mary Cody that happened to me with another method. Maybe our paper is too thick
I'm with Blossom below. Now what?
+Melissa Craig I think maybe use them to decoate bookmarks, cards, journal pages. This is more about the how and not the why LOL!
+thefrugalcrafter Lindsay Weirich I think what Melissa and Blossom are asking is how do you apply the transfer after you have removed the paper from the tape? Do you just use them as stickers or is there another way to apply them?
+Valerie Stone the clear areas will be sticky or you can use clear glue/mod-podge:)
Very cool idea, but you go so fast it makes me anxious to watch it. I'd definitely watch more videos if you had calmer ones!
(Newbie Alert): Great, but then what? LOL:-)
Book marks maybe.... ☺️
+Joni Stricklin I used gel medium to adhere the packaging tape with its image to a mixed media project.
Aww nice, thanks for sharing.
Wow this is cool another thing to add to my to do list
Have you used one of these in resin yet? Just curious how it might turn out. might try it when I get more resin in. Mahalo for sharing :)
+Kimiko I have not but it should be fine
