Should be able to drag and drop your own chord midi files into it

What a useful tutorial for users who create their favoured chord sequences and which then opens up the ability of creating infinite accompaniments to those chords in IC 2. 🙏👏👍👏👏🎶

If you are creating your own progressions, it shouldn't be too difficult to dismantle various chords, their inversions, Sus 2/4 variants, parallel M/m variants, etc.into a melody, and especially for pad work (just drop the 3rds for pads 😁).

If you let us drag and drop our own chord progressions into it, I'll give you money.

Came here to say I'd pay for an update where you could drag chords in and Instacompser would recognize the various chords and use that as the baseline

thanks for the feedback! we're always looking for ways to improve our plugins and will keep it in mind.

Instead of just adding the SIMPLE possibility to load chords as MIdI files, you need an hour video for showing how to put in chords manually with the most complicated popup selection method thinkable ??? That is just ridiculous.

it's actually an 8 minute video -- and I think you underestimate the complexity of what you are asking. But, we are aware of the feedback and are always looking at ways to improve our plugins in future updates :)

@@w.a.production Underestimate? Common.Such feature (chord import and chord detection) is implemented in about hundreds of similar tools and hosts already, It‘s actually the main creativity (and deal) stopper in your app. and it is requested continuously by users since the very first release of InstaComposer. And you also claim to use A.I. which is obviously a lie as it seems to be simple algorithmic merely. Chord detection is a very simple algorithmic too. A major conceptual issue, i would say.

it jus goes onto show how little you know of musicians point of view. You build a cool software all about midi, and there is no way to drag and drop a midi file of kbs, even if its 16 bars at a time. do you have any idea how a little more syncopated and chords in different time divisions behave. its insane to dive in this primitive interface to try and figure out where to put what chord and you dont have so many chords anyway in the list. after a point you can lost with beat divisions and stuff. once i put all chords or design exactly the way i want for a song on a daw, you expect us to put one by one again here. how long is the wait for such a basic feature to have? dont you realize you can tame half the producers on the planet if you could get this tedious, unfriendly process out of the way and let us focus on the core power of your app. this is a put off. Its hellish for chord chart that is designed outiside of instacomposer 2..

To use your own words...your comment "just goes to show how little you know" about plugin development ;)
Adding the capability to receive MIDI input is not at all a "basic feature", otherwise we certainly would have done it already.
Our entire team are music producers, so we are quite aware of how musicians feel about and use our software, and what their needs + desires are. We have looked into this feature, and very may well be able to add it in the future. However, even without that capability, InstaComposer 2 is our best selling product ever. So there are plenty of people who find the plugin very useful, despite this. However, if that's not how you feel, that's totally fine :)
