    I've Actually seen the Atlas Moth when I was at a Place Called "Picnic Point" and that GLORIOUS Creature was Amazing to Look at! That Experience was Fantastic!

      Yes, yes. I was thinking the same thing. When I saw one from that game, I chuckled a little for some reason. I was kind of hoping to see a Giant Petaltail Dragonfly since I've heard that they're among the biggest of the dragonflies. I guess they're not big enough to be featured here though.

    6:55 The Japanese wasp always scared me during our BBQs on the Tokyo Bay. I can still hear my Nippon friends laughing as I run away (multiple times!). 😅😅

    The Pokémon Heracross is based on Japanese rhinoceros beetle. Mega Heracross is based on Hercules beetle. And Pokémon like Pinsir and Vikavolt are based on stag beetles. (Source: Bulbapedia)

    The Hercules Beetle is one of my personal favourite species of beetles plus I’m surprised that Japanese Rhinoceros Beetle or the Caucasus Beetle isn’t on this list.

      I would only freak out if I found an Asian giant hornet or a tarantula hawk wasp in my house. The other bugs I would even consider pets

    It is not a wheat-a. Its Weta. Wet-a. How can you get that wrong not only is it spelled exactly like that, but two of the worlds most famous FX companies are names after it. Weta FX and Weta Workshop.

    If you think these bugs are big, you should see the bugs back in the prehistoric time. They had giant spiders, centipedes, even giant scorpions that could breath and live underwater.
    P.S. How can spiders, centipedes, and scorpions not be part of the insect family?

    Megalara garuda and Megachile pluto deserve mention here, both are the largest wasp and largest bee species in the world respectively, and both have large beetle like mandibles.
    Also whatever the currently largest ant species (Dinoponera I think?) should get mentioned as well.

    I watched this just to find the tarantula hawk. I came across a few of these while living in New Mexico it was insane I had never seen anything like it. I was terrified to go outside

    The Hercules Beetle "fact" of lifting 850x their body weight is an urban legend. Think about it-that would mean that half a dozen of them can lift any human!

    As if my Orthopterophobia wasn't bad enough, Tropidacris Grasshoppers would probably be among my worst nightmares. Not really in the "traumatizing" sort of way. They're just so... unpredictable!

    Toe Biters, ugh. The first time I really saw one I had the sprinkler going in my garden. Sun had gone down and I went to go bring it in, and I see something moving around in a puddle. Damn thing made me jump. Turns out some species actually fly from body of water to body of water. Add that to the nightmare!

    well then this fells like a check list to me, I've seen the giant Chinese mantis live and in person a few times and came across the toe biter dried out in a parking lot, I've seen the QAB, atlas moth and giant Asian hornet in a museum collection but the 15 are still out of reach for me, oh and 4 out of the five largest known spiders in the world are available in the pet trade here in Canada, the cheapest one is 15 $ before tax and shipping cost are added.

      Yeah, I was just waiting for something like Theraposa Blondi or Pandinus Imperator. Seen the first, have the other. Those sizes can only be described as stupid-size :D
      Whereas the Blondi I can come with, but Heteropoda Maxima would even get me running at super sonic speeds. I really love animals especially more exotic ones ... but some are definitely even for me in the 'hell no' category :)

    I am the only person in my family, that likes bugs. Rest of family are scared of them. But, I see them in backyard sometimes. Mostly I see friction ones in movies, but ones I see in the backyard are real. But I don’t keep any the bugs.

    Holy! All these insects are big! I've interacted with a female praying mantis before. I already knew that a female eats a male. I like all the insects on this list. These are some amazing facts about them. I didn't know some cockroaches could burrow. Also, they've been around for millions of years. A cockroach is an amazing survivor. I've read an article about giant hornets. They have been found in the nick of time.
    There are some insects on this list I have never heard of.
