The writing, editing and the style of this show is bar none best. The story is good too. But you don't see too many shows where the writing and editing outshine the story lol. This series was beautifully constructed.
One of the best explanations I've seen for a very real and influential phenomenon in real life that's been around for a while now, about so much more than just directly being mean to someone.
Looking of course. You should care more about the fact that the hotter woman is not getting more attention. Dont you care about HER feelings of loneliness? Shame on you.
Maybe it would fit Cosmos a space time odyssey season 2 leaked (there isnt any season 2 only 1 season) but honestly I loved this short scenes of legion, it made it interesting in a science aspect
This is pretty much how I feel nowadays, except that I never stuck my head into the cave, but saw more and more people doing so. Even in the classes that I teach.
This has nothing to do with how you feel, the video describes an advanced form of a mental disorder(a type of delusion) - narcissism. narcissism isn't a trait, rather its a mental illness. its like being call a "psychopath" or a "narcissist" - these titles have no connection to you personalty or your felling, rather they describe different mental states.
Brilliant programme, this is why I never use social media it's a mental health disaster! (Ps I know leaving this comment is using social media but I don't usually do it, and if I do I do not get dragged into a debate or respond to trolling. I also NEVER use twitter, instagram, Facebook or any other social media platform, it's a cancer on the psyche of modern society).
The Anti Life Equation The problem is to social media. It's like a hammer. A tool. The problem is the people who don't know how to use a hammer, and end up breaking things. We'll probably reach a point where people will have to be educated on how to use social media.
Sooooo, the first time we see the girl’s phone at 1:32 she’s watching a video about the effects of climate change. Am I dumb or does that kind of go against the rest of the clip? Surely staying informed of the wider reality is one of the best uses for a smartphone, right?
It goes against nothing. You’re talking about a fictional character that seconds later goes on to believe that chickens are ducks because the internet says so. Whether or not the thing she watched on UA-cam before this was true/correct or not (which we don’t even know. This hypothetical video could say that UFOs and the Illuminati are behind climate change for all we know) has no bearing whatsoever on her losing touch with reality. Nothing here is suggesting that nothing good can possibly come out of a smartphone or that nothing on the internet can be true, only that you can’t just blindly accept everything from one source just because it gave you a right answer once.
@Lou Siffer Pretty sure you misinterpreted the lady saying that women make less than men. She is sharing a real idea, that she more than likely has insight on, as a woman. The response she gets, " Are you fat? You sound fat?" Its a form of manipulation. The person responding is a white fat dude and it also implies that maybe he doesn't work. How can someone like that disprove your reality? It's not a constructive conversation. It's only manipulation to cause doubt and make you feel less than.
@Aaron Julca Gee, does that mean that tanks and space shuttles and farming aren't real either? Or do you just maybe have some weird personal hangup that caused you to wildly misinterpret this?
@@spibbymcgoo4877 This whole comment thread is just brilliant! Everybody posting their ridiculous misinterpretations of the clip, based on their own caves and calling other names for not having the same point of view. It's scarry and incredible at the same time, thinking about Plato, who described todays media and internet community 2,5k years ago. And I have to admit, a lot of comment i see, a lot of opinions, trolling attempts etc. make me think people who wrote them aren't real, and I just can't help myself.
@@cheepermctoasty6500 the lady typing about women making less than men, then cuts to a man she is obviously making more money than and is more successful than. The man then reflects his own reality onto the woman, implying she is fat. The point was that both are delusional and living in their own reality, oblivious to others. "What if everyone lived in caves" starts that scene, both have an idea of the world, but neither is seeing reality.
This is the best TV show on TV right now.

Fully agree with you!
Just curious what is the official name for this show...??
Mercedes Jayden The show is called "Legion"

Were you listening to me? Or were you looking at the woman in the red dress?
Once I found the Matrix to be an elaborate telling of The Cave Allegory, my perceptions on many things have changed.
Looking of course. You should care more about the fact that the hotter woman is not getting more attention. Dont you care about HER feelings of loneliness? Shame on you.
lol both
This describes exactly how online communities work, youtube included. People objectify other people online much easier than they do in person.
Are you fat? You sound fat.
j/k I agree 100%
Plato was way too fucking smart
I love these scenes! Thanks for the add
This is the best show I've ever seen ... I love that explanation. Thanks for that.
if i would not watching Legion i would ask which documentary film is this

Facking awesome this scene!! The plato-s cave adapted to the actually world!
My self absorbed 'friends' can relate..
This show is just mindblowing
I've been looking for this for weeks, finally 👏👏🙌🏽
We haven't finished the series yet but I don't know how this fits in with season 2, I think Noah wrote it and was like "yeah, put it in there"
There are so many...so many...
Unfortunately, there are those who have fallen victim to this *projection* and not ask enough question to see pass this *illusion* or reality.
Those? Or most of us?

The CAVE WALL IS NOW TV!
Any media.
Watching random legion videos and your channel pops up xD
I’M EVERYWHERE!
How is this so hard to grasp?
But I'm currently viewing this in my cave through my prism... so is this shadow real?
Spot fucking on
Gotta say, this season is a lot deeper than the first one. Plus, ya know.... Aubrey Plaza all newd and stuff is the gift that just keeps giving.
The cherry on top.
12 people don't matter.
What are these parts called
Accurate as shit

Matrix is basically Plato's cave allegory.

You lost me at the idea other people don’t matter.
You lost me when you took part of a sentence entirely out of context and twisted it into the exact opposite of its intended meaning.
