Both "The Eleven" and "Turn on Your Love Light" were dropped from the set lists shortly after Pig Pen died. "The Other One" was the replacement tune for the "Eleven". It surprises me that "Love Light" was even performed in ''89. I don't think it's on any other post-1972 recordings. That was a classic Pig Pen cover of a "trad blues" song.
It is on the Nassau ‘90 release but I think that is it, which is kind of crazy because they played it at about 20% of all shows in their last ten years….pretty popular second set closer.
@@theopinionatedhippie470 wow. I did not know that. I'll have to pick up that Nassau 90 release. I love ..love light..even if it's not sung by Pig. I believe I first heard it on Live Dead back in my HS daze
@@theopinionatedhippie470 Thanks. Of course I got that one ! That's the finale with Branford M. I'll have to play it this weekend (after my gummy-dose !) 🤗
The only one I did which had ‘89 material was Without a Net. The View series was ‘87 and all 90s. I checked a bunch of times because I was sure that couldn’t be right…
Thanks for reccomendation ... checking out on Qobuz in CD quality ... really enjoying it ... CMcG Aberdeen Scotland
The latter half (particularly October) of 1989 is a real purple patch that just kept going till March 1990.

NOT Nassau 80…..Wake Up to Find Out is the 90 show, to be clear.

I believe this is only one of two GD concerts that come with a DVD.
The other being "Sunshine Daydream".
I haven’t watched the DVD but once so no review on that….
I think you have reviewed others shows from 89. The ones from View from the Vault
