In the house my husband and I are under contract for they neglected their yard for so long and if we get the house we're gonna have to do all of this 🙃
Built several homes in Florida and always directed the clearing of the land. Always taped off green belts of trees for wild life cover and saved as many trees as possible. The clearing of the property was always my favorite part of the build.
Good for you David. It's actually kind of sad watching the destruction of these natural habitats, it's reassuring to read your comments about how you preserve what you can. After watching this, and reading your comments, I decided I'm also going to direct the clearing.
Haha, I know right! We just cleared our 4 acres of our 18 and it was so satisfying seeing it cleared selectively while keeping our nice oak and magnolia trees! We posted it in our UA-cam Channel!
My wife said "that wham, bam, thank you ma'm comment offended me... We're gonna need your tractor" 😂 Seriously cool piece of equipment. We have about 3 acres of our 6.5 outside Green Cove Springs that could really use a clean up...

Planning on renting one and cleaning up part of my lot. I was quoted $1800 for an area of approximately 120x100. I believe that I can rent for much less. Yes, I do have experience operating heavy equipment.
I cringe at the thought of it 😂 I would just mulch next to it as close as I can and then put the root rake on and plow it all into a pile. Burn it and then scoop the metal up and dispose of it.

It’s called a forestry Mulcher . Due to the high purchase price, high maintenance requirements, and operational skill requirements… I do recommend hiring a professional. It is 100% of the time more affordable and safer with a higher quality final product to simply hire a top professional. I may even have someone in your state you can call. What state are you in?
Around November 1st 2022 I will have my .18 acre piece of land paid off and I will need to do that to my property. Where can I rent one of those mulcher things?
@@TheTreeShop how would I get an estimate to have an idea how much I need to save up between now and the time I pay it off in November? I have the parcel number for it but can't stay on it until final payment is made.
Your lucky you can rent a mulcher. In pa I was told they won't rent them bc people might break mulcher. You can rent the skid steer with other attachments. If I lived in jersey you can rent them no problem. They are everywhere. So I had to just roll over the brambles in my skid steer. Then scrape up with a grapple. Luckily only 3 trees down, most was 8ft tall brambles.
I don’t recommend renting. The mulchers they rent out are typically open faced drums running carbides for reliability to protect from bad operators and those heads are just annoying to run. Almost always more cost effective to just hire in a professional.
That is a hm215c and it’s about as bad as you can get. Temps were fine never had issues really. Only times I did was because of bad couplers. Head is very unproductive and I do not recommend it or any cat head in fact.

A bad day. I carry several cutting tools including a torch to cut anything out. Fence, wheels, cables, rebar, run into lots of metal stuff all over the place. I don’t get stuck often, but when I do I knew I shouldn’t have done it and typically it’s from rushing so I don’t get stuck that much anymore.
Currently my machine is at 74. By end of year it will be turned up a bit. That being said. Yes a bigger machine is in the plan but it will be a dedicated. The jump to a 100hp skid steer in price doesn’t equal enough of a production increase for the extra costs to be worthwhile. In the next video that comes out tomorrow I believe you will see the new head we got that allows us to mulch 1.5-2 acres a day. At that rate the low operating weight of the 259 is more of an advantage than the extra HP and few thousand pounds extra of a large frame skid steer.
I am in Jacksonville and just built a house on a preserve. I need a space cleared 15x15 to fit the kids trampoline what would the price be approximately? There are no more trees as they all fell into the preserve at the last storm it's just a bunch of tree roots and stumps.

HuntWise, LandGlide, and google earth

I don’t know what a surface root is but the mulchers do not penetrate soil. They cut to grade that’s all.
