- I'm sorry for the long break between uploads the recent many weeks. However as you can see in this video, the wait was worth it. I have bee working hard on merging Hearts of Iron IV with real world, NASA like, satelite map data. As you can see, the video is still quite basic, in the next few releases I will work to include borders, rivers, minor cities, and in general increase detail and immersion.
I hope that you enjoy this video of the Axis yet again trying their best to gain global hegemony!
This WWII timelapse has been simulated by AI in the video game Hearts of Iron IV by Paradox Interactive.

@@user-wu2br7cs7i I have to agree, I think if the Soviets held long enough, they could've possibly defeated the Axis themselves without Allied help (except for supplies from the USA), the Allies opening a second front just sped it up. There is an interesting video about it from (I believe) Whatifalthist.

I think it’s been like that since La Resistance, without a human pilot the German AI bashes its head against the Soviet wall. So eventually the losses form the battle plus the manpower required for occupation garrisons means Germany starts running out of manpower whenever this happens is when they start to falter and wither until ultimate defeat, sort of like what happened in real life
When you're fighting against everyone else in the whole world there's a good chance you're not going to win. The odds are not in Germany's favor.

Peace deals are so broken. They really need to be totally redone. The AI just seem to take at random. I was playing as Germany once and I won against the allies and Italy for some reason wanted half of England and a few Polish regions?
I think peace deals need to be based on contribution in that particular region and against that particular enemy, and for them to take over regions that would make sense.
I think it should be based off of who progressed the war, not who dragged it on. I don't know how many times I jump in a war do all the work then get nothing cause some nation lost 5 million men
from my experience the ai will try to avoid creating exclaves and war score cost of a province is determined by who occupies it
@@zeenes8143 Idk how the ai works, but I have had games where for example as Greece I declare on turkey I then Kill turkey, but because turkey joined the allies and I joined the axis after the war ends and the peace deal is here. Because Germany did the majority of the work in other countries I get 0 of turkey as the axis annex/puppet turkey. Instantly ruining a campaign.
@@javanmills6152 take the player based peace deals mod from the workshop. i could finally make the peace deal as I liked
@@javanmills6152 you can always use the state transfer tool mod or player led peace conferences. Also I think another issue with this game is how someone is always joining the axis or the allies when you want an isolated war. Or guarentees. Wars in hoi4 are always total wars and it would be cool if it was more like victoria 2

This is really sick and interesting to watch.
Having a real map and seeing real geography makes the movement of troops and frontlines more in depth.
Kind of wish there was borders or some colored overlay so we can see the push and pull of territory.

I really don't see it much in hoi4 where the axis almost wins but then slowly dies on the race to Berlin in many of my games, but I love to watch them
