關於信仰和宗教的 關係，就個人所知，以西方對宗教的定義，中國民間信仰並不屬於宗教，即使佛教亦不是。
道教 巫教 萨满教 佛教 等 都是中华民族/中国人的传统宗教，儒家其实也是宗教，在印尼称为儒教，是印尼的五大一神教之一，因为儒家有敬天
中國人對生命情感的認知程度高於西方的宗教力量。中國人信仰的是遵循天道的運行，而不是一切仰賴一個萬能的神。
As much as George Yeo is very rational and he makes excellent points. One must not forget that he is a very devout Roman Catholic. His views of the world, including geo-politics is tainted by his religious beliefs. If you listen to him, he often references aspects of the Catholic-Christian religion. Unlike Singapore’s late PM Lee Kwan Yew or his son PM Lee Hsien Loong, who are very rational and practical, but both are free thinkers, not bogged down or tainted by any religious beliefs; especially the Abrahamic ones - which as we all know, can be problematic.

I believe your understanding is incomplete. Why do you think the Nalanda University, a Buddhist university, wanted to appoint GY as its chancellor? And the context of this speech is for the audience of Hungary, a largely Catholic population.
@@patriotoverseas I got the same feeling too, but I don't think he is leveraging from his popularity to ..... He is still delivering fantastic insightful lectures and speeches.
i am a Christian myself.
I am learned in my faith, and I am also familiar with George Yeo's speeches as I am a keen follower.
He has made references to Catholism yes, but all in the historic / cultural framework, and always in the context of large world trends, history and current affairs. THere is always a context.
Everything he said, is as secular as it can be.
When he refers to his personal faith, it is always just about himself, and even with that, it is a touch and go. As a Christian listener, I do not sense him applying our doctrine to his analysis.
And no he is not "bogged down" or "tainted" by Abrahamic (??) doctrines LOL.

Two countries have such a deep connection, so why cannot? Plz let Biden return his salary as well cuz they're always talking about CN everywhere.
China suffers from a self-manufactured bursting of their own real estate bubble. Moves were rather haphazard and there were zero follow-up contigencies on the after shock that came. That made the CCP rather behind the curve. Reacting to the aftermath now made them looked clumsy. They face some very real challenges of their own.
But I don't think Xi Jinping is stupid. Or rather, the people under Xi isn't stupid. They know China must shift to a consumer based economy.
Many in the west are saying that China is in denial of that fact but China is slowly, but surely making an effort to shift the economy towards that direction.
It takes a lot to steer a big ship and that take time.
That being said, the central goivt has to, not only wean the local goverments' dependency on real estate, but also give them an alternative to grow their source of income. Otherwise, they will be in a rut. The CCP has to be in front of the curve and not behind it. No more Ready Fire Aim.

这位先生心中的中国是一个被他自己理想化的国家，而事实并非如此。他在演说中极力讨好匈牙利和中国，却无视了一个现实，就是匈牙利在欧盟中正在被边缘化，正如中国也正在国际社会中被边缘化。

You may not know George Yeo but he is pretty well known among the older well educated Singaporeans. He is speaking from his own personal perspective and does not represent the Singapore govt or general Singaporean. He is also well recognised by the academics which is why he kept receiving invitations to talks and seminars all over the world. Just be neutral to what he says and you may find them insightful, especially those relating to factual historical events. A lot of the general population (including younger taiwanese) have no idea what is the truth due to the social media and think that George Yeo is a china dog. Personally, i think he is just speaking based on his knowledge of the history.
