    I'll be moving to this area in 2024 and look forward to doing this trail in my Trailhawk. Thanks! And thank you for eliminating crappy music and/or excessive talking! Love just the sounds of the trail!

    Hello from Cranbrook, BC in Canada 🇨🇦 I just discovered your UA-cam page, and I have to thank you SO much for showing me what a Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk can really do. I was 90% sure that’s what my next vehicle would be, but was having difficulty finding a good review online. It was always just a walk around, showing the info-tainment console, maybe a highway drive, or some very light off-roading. Your videos are so awesome, and exactly what I was looking for to see the real off road capabilities of the Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. I also see that you post a few videos on accessories. Fingers crossed I’ll have a new 2020 Trailhawk in the next couple of months. Thanks again,

      Awesome! Thats why i made the channel, to get more info out there on how great these things are! Yeah, there are a lot of cringe worthy 'reviews' that its obviously someone who has no clue what buttons do or capabilities.

    Very pretty. Tame compared to most of your other trail videos. I don't see an antenna on Fearless. What kind of radio do you use?

    • @FearlessTrailhawk
      @FearlessTrailhawk  4 роки тому +1

      The little 2-way types. My primary is a baofeng, but we use the same freq as channel 22 on most of the name brand 2-ways. My club has pretty much seitched away from CBs to the radios. At some point I'm going to mount a radio unit inside, but for now the handheld with the little speaker/mic chord work just fine.
      Yeah, this one was a bit more tame, but it was a very straightforward edit and it was exactly the type i was looking for when searching for footage from the trail before i went. The next few vids will be a little more exciting, just have to find the time to get them edited.

    Great video man. Question: Would you ever consider the WK2 Trailhawk over the KL for off-road? I like the size and the 5.7 Hemi option, for the WK2, but I'm hesitant to buy something that doesn't have a rear locking dif.

    That's my "home park" if u will...lol but they have completely destroyed that trail! All the way thru the cleared section use to be very large boulders and had a creek always running down it. And also the very steep turn at 24:30ish had a big undercut spot on the inside of the turn that made even the best of rigs lift a tire. I hate that SMH. I'm in the construction field but on the way out the trackhoe could've replaced alot of the rock's IMO but i get it. Was 1 of the prettiest rides.

    I feel like most of the trails in Vinton County are more difficult than what you showed in this video. Like you said, they need Badges for all walks of life (skill levels), but I think the Badges should be a little more difficult.

    • @FearlessTrailhawk
      @FearlessTrailhawk  4 роки тому

      Keep in mind, this trail was bulldozed to allow heavy machinery access to work on the gas line the week i ran it, all those big rocks piled on the side of the trail used to be on the trail.
      I feel like they are just different types of difficulty. Vinton trails have some small technical bits spaced out with dirt road and occasional deep ruts. Where ruts weren't much of a concern here just rocky bits, which Vinton doesn't have much of.

    Out of curiosity do you just run in auto or do you change modes/put in 4low? Enjoy the video's!

    • @FearlessTrailhawk
      @FearlessTrailhawk  4 роки тому +1

      Always in 4Low on the trails. No sense wearing stuff out in 4High traveling at 5mph all day. I usually leave it in Auto, unless i'm trying to more delicate rock crawling then i'll use Rock (slows throttle response, so its not as jumpy) or if i know i'm gna need to keep wheel spin up i'll put it in Sand/Mud to get through the obstacle then back to Auto.

      As much as i'd like to scour the comments from every video over the past three years looking for ppl who asked me to respond to them individually about each ride "when you do another", ain't nobody got time for that. Nothing against you, but thats just how it is. Keep an eye out on upcoming videos.

      Video never does a trial justice. I thought the same thing about certain sections of some trials, and in all honesty, the trail would just beat you to death and put too much of a strain on your suspension that's not necessary.

      Just because it doesn't require 40s and tons double locked, doesn't mean it can't be a badge trail.
      FYI, rumor has it the trail ratings by Jeep are the difficulty for a STOCK jeep to complete. Granted many trails have changed throughout the years due to weather and heavy use.

      Personally, i never really felt i needed more space, plus the footage is zoomed in a bit. He did come closer the couple times i slowed down unexpectedly, but he always stopped just fine. When i'm running a chase camera i prefer to have them closer than farther. Have had some guys who won't get within 200ft and it gets really annoying especially around curves. (and then the footage is wasted)
