Lovely model, beautifully flown. No tricks, no outrageous stunts. Flown exactly how a helicopter would be flown! The builder must own a plastics factory methinks. Those compound curves are a marvel.
That is beautiful, plus scale flying. Very nice to see. Absolutely amazing. Thank you for not flipping the thing around in a way that a real heli could never fly.
Wow, super fast when he was letting it wind out a bit. It’s impressive to see such a large model flying. Excellent pilot skills. Quite a performance all around. Thanks for the video!
Very nice and smooth flight! And the details of this model are unbelievable. The instrument panel is so detailed that I could not really say that its a model without knowing it! Every detail is just stunning! Thank you for the great video! It was a real pleasure and joy to watch it!
Absolutely amazing to see this rotary wing aircraft flying! It is a beutiful aircraft and your piloting skills via RC are amazing as well. Thanks for sharing this flight! 👍👍
this one and the bell 222 in my opinion are the two best -looking helicopters ever made… This one being the sporty model and the 222 absolutely full on classy. The right paint job and the 222 is psycho cool. Thanks for sharing this video what a beautiful helicopter. I did notice that was electric it surprised me being so large I thought at first it would be jet powered… The batteries inside their that's a lot of amperage. Obviously you know what you're doing. Thanks again just an absolutely lovely video
Your machine is so realistic in control and as well the full-size scale appearance of the MD 500D. Great piloting. The noise signature of your tail rotor and Main Rotor blade flapping is realistically scale when the 500 is airborne. Love It. Your rotor head system and swashplate assembly is the scale distance from the doghouse fairings. Excellent work to scaling out your machine.
@@daredevil_314 Your aircraft depicted has a T tail with end plates (small fins) at the horizontal stabilizer. The end plates were typically the design of the MD500D. On the 500E the horizontal stabilizer had increased trim plates riveted to the trailing edge as well as larger more rounded corner end plates. Later MD500Ds also had conversions to installing the pointed plexiglass panels and nose frames in place of the rounded nose. I worked on MD Helicopters many years and our service center did remove the typical round nose to the pointed nose for customers, but retained the MD500D T tail. But it was not authorized to install a T tail assembly of the 500E. Both a/c will look the same except the horizontal stabilizer design and end plates will tell it apart.
@@daredevil_314 The pointed nose to be installed on the 500D was a STC (supplemental type certificate) installation issued by the FAA given to the manufacture of the special nose that eliminated one set of frames.
This being my world favorite helicopter, I need to correct the model in description from a 500E to a 500D since the top of the vertical tail fin stabliser is angled instead of straight like an "E" model. Incredible detail... awesome smooth flight. Enjoyed thoroughly.
@@bryanst.martin7134 The tail empanage or vertical tail IS the D model design only. The E model has a slightly different more vertical top of the "T" on the side of the top of the "T". I know this a fact. I have seen many different nose varients, but the tail on this model is 100% D model.
Unbelievable and that Helicopter sound is so realistic, but that's the MD500, it's with the air force, and also the NH90, I mean Finnish Air Force Helicopters!
This is probably half scale, to go to full scale is a different story and requires much more stringent engineering and application of regulations. PS: not to mention a bucketload more folding stuff aka money! 45 yrs experience in Aeromodelling…
@@oldtimer2192 No way this is half scale. Probably 1/4 or 1/3 . My point still stands. This is more like a drone than a fun hobby. All that’s missing is to put explosives in it and it becomes a military grade drone. I think hobby needs to put limits on scale.
Nice scale flying except for the landing , 6:25 and full size helicopters do not taxi backwards like that because the pilot sat inside can not safely see where he is going.
You do backwards taxi in real life helicopter training though. You do a clearing turn first to make sure no-one is behind you. At least they did in my training.
A very good demonstration of how to fly a scale model in a scale manor ! nice to see well done :)
Thanks

Just a beautiful Heli , The bigger they get the more realistic they sound and look. The Hughes 500 has always been a favorite of mine.
Same here. Hughes 500E the best heli ever created
That is beautiful, plus scale flying. Very nice to see. Absolutely amazing.
Thank you for not flipping the thing around in a way that a real heli could never fly.
I agree. I’ve never understood why that became popular.
@@dereklea1183 Me either, and it probably leads to 90% of the crashes too.
WOW THAT WAS AN AMAZING FLIGHT. and GREAT SAVE towards the end( at 7:12 ), you have amazing piloting skills :D
The Hughes 500E is really iconic and flown like this, amazing.
Pkkjiiii
I love the realistic inertia of these large-scale models.
Echt ne schöne Arbeit und die Lackierung erst, ein echter Traum.
i love this type of work dear
Awww, its got seatbelts! I love this thing.
A great example of a well set-up large scale helicopter flown in a pleasing manner. A joy to watch.

What a cool looking helicopter....If I had the money it would be a Hughes 500 for me.....🙂

Is there a typo in your comment or do you seriously not know the difference between a 500D and a 500E? The MD500 in this video is a 500E.

That's what I thought.
Very cool 👍👍👍👍👍👍
I 've heard many jet heli sound. This sound is most rearistic👍

Ich dachte erst das thumbnail wär ein fake und dann das ! ...Junge ist das ein Klopper ! Da kannste dich ja fast reinsetzen :O
☠BLACK BARON☠ Except the landing ... beautiful scale rc helicopter feeling and flight curves. Looks smooth. 👍

When it comes to rc model aircrafts size matters a lot. The bigger the better!
Klasse Video!
Nur warum schneidest du das Video,
genau da wo ich ins Bild komme bei 7:59. ;-) :-D
WOW...I fly helis and would love to fly something like this....pocketbook just won't allow it! :D
Good work 💯
When RC start to reach military size drones then what’s the difference? Why not make a 1/2 scale one? Or a 1/1 scale?
This is probably half scale, to go to full scale is a different story and requires much more stringent engineering and application of regulations.
