Lex I have been watching you for years and the one thing that always keeps me tuned in is your wonderfully calm persona. In a world filled with such turmoil thank you. Arohanui
This was LONG over due! So so so many final tables you got sucked out on and had terrible luck! This made me so incredibly happy to see! You deserve it Lex! Keep up the good work and positive vibes! By far my favorite online player to watch and when you win it feels like I do too! Excellent play mate! Sincerely, DaddyDonk-AA-Lottttt
Hey lex a cool thing you can do that Matthew staples does is always have what you have cashed. So if you have 500 in bounties out that up and if your are in the money you could put up how much you have cashed for so far.
Every time I watch the final tables of the highroller tournaments when someone has a chip lead and there’s a small stack at the table they just shove basically every hand. Lex had a great stop here to do exactly that.
Lex, on the off-chance you read this, I have a question for you regarding the hand at 25:30 (you slow-played/under-repped KK): After your opponent bet the turn-card, don't you think raising is preferable to calling? My instincts were SCREAMING at me, "RAISE RAISE RAISE." OR, did you play it that way because of that super-weird-ass pay-out structure? Because, I'm about 90% sure that, in a vacuum, the raise has more benefits than the call in that exact situation. If you make a list, pro's and con's, for a raise, in that exact spot, the pro's list has about 2-times as many benefits.
He doesnt raise KK there because it's ICM suicide, its him and the chip leader with 2mil chip stacks, huge pay jumps, and 3 smaller stacks. If he runs into AA, sets or gets sucked out on it's the death of him. So pot control, protect calling range in vacuum anyways
What a run!! Nice job man. At the end Tachyon made quite a few strong hands for HU, also looked like he was in beast mode. Combine that with some run good and anyone will have their hands full playing against that guy.
Unless I'm mistaken, Lex would have won around 5500 dollars more had he won the heads up. That's 25% of what he won, and according to my bank account not negligible ;).
Because he had decent odds to call. The bounty is worth about 125k in chips so he's getting about 2.81:1 odds to call, so he needs about 35% chance to win to be profitable. he definitely has that covered in most of his opponent's range where he could be flipping. Even against all pairs except AA, he has at least 31%. You also have to take into account that he's risking not even a third of his stack to win a bounty worth over a whole buy-in. Basically, if he didn't have any bounties accumulated already, you could say Lex had a decent chance to freeroll the tourny while simultaneously increasing an already strong stack. Worst case, he has over 40bbs left to keep grinding.
I guess you have not watched many of his videos if you think that. He's been running horrible for a long time before this $96k win. Also you making comments like that basically shows to anyone that understands Poker that you really don't have any idea about Poker when playing hundreds of tournaments and millions of hands and then making highlights videos.
I feel at this stage these guys are just shills man, I play the same way that they do and I get stupidly unlucky and just never seem to be able to win where I should be winning where I see lex winning. Its just insane.
some people have account with special luck, lucky lex. playing poker for 10 years...they just have good hands to call you and ofcourse you go the better.
@@myselfwtf i know, but he has alot of these lucky runs. What I've seen of him he plays no different to most average players and i bet the average player doesn't have nowhere near as much as luck and unfortunately this what separates average players from good online players. Its just frustrating for players who never get that luck to win that big money yet it seems most pro online players don't play much differently and the luck always comes there way 🤷♂️.
we only know about his luck because we watched it but the other guy probably had just as much luck to get there, you need a huge amount of luck to win tournaments because there are so many all-ins you have to win in order to get there !
