Put more support on the tinnie trailer, and floor on top of tinnie to carry the quad, change the tinnie motor to 4 stroke. Also put roof top on 4wd and find that room for water and fuel. Solar panel everything else. Love your drive
Don't shower too much and water goes further.Go feral.I spent 5 years in the scrub, brought a fridge and didn't know what to do with it so made iceblocks.Still spend 3 months in qld each year but get kicked out of many places cause there is always a grouch that reports me to the council😅.I'm an old fella but I still love the game, fishing tragic too boot.
Hey Dale, you do what you reckon mate.. your community will love it whatever.. just keep the videos and the dreams coming big fella, all the best, Sandy👍👌🛥️
Hey Dale I run a 6 hp 4stroke Yamaha on the same tinny as yours and can get on the plane on my own. A little sounder and a 7 amp lithium and a basic floor and it’s tops and manageable. Runs on the smell of an oily rag and light. Everything is a compromise for weight and manageability. I know you’ll work it out and keep it up I appreciate you’re channel greatly Cheers
Another good vid The new trailer had the boat on top a hard shell rtt underneath that pulled out to one side some how on a slide the quad under all that from the rear or the side Lots of good 3•5 ton single axles out there now Go the whole hog start from scratch
I was in the Infantry up north Queensland in a previous life. Everytime patrolling up in Tully, we would cop those green ant nests haha. Always knew when one of the boys would start slapping themselves all over 😂
Hi Dale, You are a very practical and capable person. I understand gear and use changes. I am always making alterations especially to lighten all the gear,
G’day Dale what baitcaster and rod setup you running in this vid? The possibilities are endless with the setup you thinking of mate what about say you want a deck on the boat trailer so what about making the deck to fit inside the whole outer frame of the trailer and make it into a full water tank say 100mm thick for example with baffles to control water movement surely that would be at least 100-150 litres at a minimum? The baffles in the right location would reinforce the deck for your quad etc low C.O.G no space lost just food for thought👍 Keep up with the great content mate cheers ‘n’ Beers 🍺
Nice one Dale that will be a beast of a trailer roof top qaud boxes 👌🤙 . Simple is best man as you know . Another brilliant vid mate safe travels . Regards polar .🍻🍻🍻
Keep what you have Dale...at least if you want to drop the boat for a quick week trip somewhere you can and still have your quad and camp set up. If you put the tinny on top and change down to a 6HP it will still take more effort than just backing up to a creek and dump in the Tinny in the way you have it. I don't think you will save much weight when you work it all out. Anyway...everyone has there own ideas that suit themselves so good luck with the build if you decide to go that way.
Look into Torqeedo electric outboard = to 5hp model. add lithium battery, can easy recharge with your portable panel, save heaps on weight on outboard and battery. Outboard is 11kg and a 100ah lithium is about 12kg. 200ah about 20kg.
Trailer with rack on front or back, boat front or back roof top on top on frame with legs. Pull up at camp put legs down ,unload quad tow boat and trailor out from under tent and away you go.
That’s camper would be awesome idea made out of the boat trailer flat floor, box up front, rooftop tent even a 270 awning as well would be ripper. Great work mate love the content make me wanna get out there
Mate the 4 5 and 6 tohatsu after 2019 are all the same motor. Biggest selling tohatsu in Queensland is a 6hp tohatsu with a 4hp sticker. The four stroke only. I design and build boats and lived on a sailing cat for 17 years. I prefer a 2 banger for reliability and weight, ease of repair and durability. 4hp means no flares no jackets etc and no rego. Great for creek and coast. Jacket will only slow you down while your trying to outswim a croc! For some reason if you got a 4hp in Queensland you can set off for Vanuatu with f@#$ all and the law is ok with it. Great as far as I'm concerned. My dinghy is unsinkable and I only need a jacket if I fall out. I just have to swim back to my unsinkable boat climb in and grab one???
your a big bloke so I dunno about a smaller boat but you are the man and you know what works and what doesn't work on the road. camper trailer is the shit as you age but roughing it has its own allure.
With those green ant nest you throw the nest in a billy can of cold water put the lid on ,shake it for a while, drain the water into another container, then drink it ,it will be your homemade lemonade ,good video again.
Always a toss up as what to carry with you. I like the idea of a tinnie, but it doesn't fit with my current set up. ( I hadn't thought about flushing when camped up for a month or more). I'm sure when you look at how you want it to work for you, you'll come up with a great plan. Keep well and stay safe, lad. 🍺😎
Years ago I saw a great set up where the boat and trailer had a camper built onto it and then leg would extend down so the camper became a stand alone camper (same concept as those side on campers). You then drove the boat and trailer out from underneath it. Quad would then be housed on the ute with lots of water storage to keep weight on the ute. It’s fun to change your set up around but don’t be too hasty… don’t wants any regrets, hey.
Great vid Brother. I always like to walk quietly through the mangroves and thick bush too hey. Try and keep my wits about myself. 👌 Look forward to trailer build to see what you come up with Brother 🤙 You thinking of selling the big girl ? Cheers Brad and Fi 🍻
The eternal search for the perfect combination. With the 4 banger even though you pay a premium with weight get something with 2 cylinders so she smooth to operate, singles bang and shake like an unbalanced load in the washing machine maybe even a big tiller electric might do what you want. I traveled with a 3.0 Stessl edgetracker that weighed 40? Kg and had high sides brilliant little boat. 💯 get what your saying about the big trailer, fuel prices aren’t coming down low enough that you can be pullin* too big a load. Look forward to whatever you decide.
Dale l get it about the talking, its the same as driving wirh music, l cant hear what's going on with my vehicle which is real important if you ain't got all whizz bang guages to tell you something's up. Whilst camped up though, music is the go!

Mate that dinghy is a good all rounder, make it work or you will regret it. Trust me, been there done that
Yep, Dodge is a good kid 😃🥰
Got to do what suits you best, and well, really what you want to do 😊👌🏼✌🏼👍🏻

A-frame tradie trailer!
Can have a false floor with fridge slides etc, waterproof storage underneath and a camper tent on top... mint 🫡
I'm currently building one

mate you need to build off road enclosed trailer carry quad bike inside when traveling with fold down bed and roof top tiny

New camper build series, I think would be amazing content 👍
I had a 8hp mercury, was awesome got about 12/13 knots with 2 people in a 3m punt. If that helps
Trailer with rack on front or back, boat front or back roof top on top on frame with legs. Pull up at camp put legs down ,unload quad tow boat and trailor out from under tent and away you go.
I still see the "total carnage" singlet 😮🎉
Same same Rumpy awesome stuff Campman.. cheers guys..👏👍🎣

Dale I agreed coz the amount of time you use the boat is minimal... Put a deck on it park the quad.. You can anchor your tent on it... Etc
Always a toss up as what to carry with you.

Mate that is crocky 🐊🐊🐊
All senses working 😂
Great idea run with it nothing ventured nothing gained
Your skif has the prettiest bow and hull ever, take lots of pictures so you can build another like it. cheers

Lovely Ep and spots , Thats sounds a lovely setup what your talking about.
Do it mate, make the mini version of your big trailer will be awesome 👌
Rubber inflatable for your boat would save weight big time! They make them pretty heavy duty nowadays
Rather be looking at it than looking for it gotta go with that , maybe a small generator for when the sun isn't around ?
As far as more water, its my understanding that carrying weight is better than towing it.
Great vid Brother.
I always like to walk quietly through the mangroves and thick bush too hey.

Go a 4hp and get the 6hp carby and prop fitted mate
I get it catch and collect, but that doesnt pay for new, repairs, fuel rego etc. So give whats the source of $
What was that crossing behind you at 18:00 on the vid?Wa that the bush turkey? Couldn’t see it properly.Once again always enjoy your vids.
Best quote I've heard yet 👏
(If ya don't know what's got cha! You'll be shiting yourself)
Fucking gold 👍🏻🍻
Hey dale im in process rewelding me tray and thinking same way as you
They say four stroke engines you cannot lay down
Where is that place?
Mate Lak vids

4hp sticker on a 6hp motor? Got to be unlucky for them to check the motor number!
Where you at Dale
